A note about EVENT CANCELLATIONS and other time-sensitive updates: When something happens that we want everybody to know about - RIGHT NOW - we do a couple of things. The information will be posted in the "Official Announcements" section and it will also be posted on Twitter and the CWIRA blog. However, if this info (like a race cancellation at 6am) happens when there is no internet access for us - it will be on Twitter first because that can be updated via cell phone. We recomend that if you are set up for it - follow us on twitter.com/cwira and enable your cell/text to recieve twitter updates on race day. Or, if you have a web-enabled phone you can access the info at cwira.blogspot.com or twitter.com/cwira.

Hi My name is Dewey Stelzner president of The group putting on the races in Weyauwega. Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know that we are very committed to seeing this race be a big success for you the racers and the fans. We have iced down almost the whole entire fairgrounds and have 14 inches of ice on the track we have used over a million gallons of water to do this. The corners are 90 ft wide and the straights are 60 ft wide. We have three power brooms and plow trucks for the ice. I am working on getting the ice shraver to keep the track smooth, we will put out 3000 bales of hay arround the track. Our number one goal is safety for you the racers and the fans. We have in place over 200 volunteers to help make this event happen. We have been getting alot of excitement over your group running here. Please be reassured we will do what we need to to make this track a great place to race.

Jim and I have been meeting on the schedule and we will have both days racing orders posted on our website fireonicewega.com by the end of this week.

If you are thinking of staying over I was able to get a special race room price for you at the village inn in Waupaca which is only 10 minutes from the track for $56.00 the number there is 1-715-258-8526.

I would be happy to answer any questions or concerns.

Hope to see you at the track!! Good luck racing!!!
Dewey Stelzner

The track is 4 / 10 's of a mile.

Just got word this afternoon that we will have a power ice shaver at our event as well. The track should be nice and smooth.
