Not bad. I watched Cliffy change a rear ice tire, on a frozen lake, very cold (hard rubber, cold hands), with a set of spoons, in a very short period of time.......couldn't believe it. So if ya ever get a flat, I think he charges $60 an hour.......should end up costing a guy about 4 bucks.....

Did you ever notice that it seems so much easier to change a ice tire to repair a flat at the track? I think that when the tire has gone flat while riding the sidewalls get all "flexed". Some people say in that case the tire is junk but I have seen them appear to work just fine. When mounting a tire that has been in the garage all winter the process is: warm up the shop, warm up the tire, get your favorite beveridge, put on your music, plenty of rubber lube, act like you have all day to change it and THINK about your technique. You might get it in 15 min. Try rushing it and all you get is bloody knuckles, damaged tire bead and scratched up rims. |

Just want to know one thing, does it hold air after he's done? And let's see him do that when it's 20 degrees outside. Usually if I go even close to that fast I end up putting the tire on backwards. He could make a killing at the ice races.
