A note about EVENT CANCELLATIONS and other time-sensitive updates: When something happens that we want everybody to know about - RIGHT NOW - we do a couple of things. The information will be posted in the "Official Announcements" section and it will also be posted on Twitter and the CWIRA blog. However, if this info (like a race cancellation at 6am) happens when there is no internet access for us - it will be on Twitter first because that can be updated via cell phone. We recomend that if you are set up for it - follow us on twitter.com/cwira and enable your cell/text to recieve twitter updates on race day. Or, if you have a web-enabled phone you can access the info at cwira.blogspot.com or twitter.com/cwira.

I am hoping to get out and do a few races this season in the c rubber quad class and I was just wondering what kind of quads everyone runs and what kind of tires. do they run 4x4's or race quads? What size tires? any other tips or tricks or just general set up suggestions? thanks.

Welcome to the board. I happen to ride motorcycles, but I'm sure a "quad guy" will pop in and help you out.

Have fun and again, welcome!!

If you havent ever seen them run, they are all race quads set up for TT with the hoosiers or other similar tires. These guys can do wheelies w/o studs!! Its pretty cool.

for c rubber you can not run hoosiers. you have to run knobby type tires. if you lower your rear end some and make an easy steer you would be good to go for that class.

IT IS ALSO CALLED A STEERING QUICKENER. IT BOLTS TO YOUR STEERING STEM AND LETS YOUR FRONT TIRES TURN MORE. YOU COULD MAKE IT YOURSELF IF YOU WANT.
