Yes, I know it's the off-season....... Starting to work on the 2010 stuff so you may notice a few changes to the www.cwira.com web site. It's more of a "re-arrange the furniture" kind of thing so you can expect mostly the same features and information - maybe just in a different place. The cwira.blogspot.com link is on the main page in the upper left corner. Information will be posted on both this message board and the CWIRA Blog so looking at either will get you the same stuff. The difference is on the Blog there will not be any "feedback" from people - just the info. We are doing this because some folks are using "smartphones" and other devices to recieve update texts directly, and the message board did not really make this easy. Now you can "subscribe" (that means "sign up for" - does NOT mean it costs anything) to the CWIRA Blog and the information will automaticly get sent to whatever device you use. The primary reason for this is cancellations/changes and stuff like that. The phone hotline will still be in use - in fact with this set-up I can text an update from the phone and it will instantly post to the web site (via the Blog) and also get relayed out to whoever has signed up for it. Quite often the officials make a decision to cancel at 5 or 6 AM, when most of us are on the road already - this system will help a lot in those situations. I will be opening up 2010 season renewals soon - probable by the end of July. I don't expect a ton of people (if any) to jump all over that but it's one of those "why not" kind of deals. One less thing to deal with prior to the Fall meeting. My cell (aka race hotline) # 715-212-6340. Home is 715-869-8370. One of the goals for 2010 has been to have the season "ready to go" at the Fall meeting. That would include schedules, rule books, membership cards and the like. So are we going to race at Stanley this year? I heard they are going to or are draining it out to fix the dam next summer. Where will we be racing to take the place of that location? |

Haven't heard yeat. I've been pestering Jim - I know he wants to get the schedule done EARLY so everybody can plan - but no word yet. |
