I'm gonna start us off with a big NO.

Perhaps not this year, I dunno. I mean, I want him to go down to the Heart Break Kid at WM26, no doubt. But if it should for the "good of the streak", I dunno. It is one of the things that makes Taker seem unstoppable. Especially this time of year, and the speculation as to whether or not it will be ended is great. I actually believe Michaels is in with a chance. The whole career thing doesn't worry me though, cause were Michaels to loose, he'd just come back around Summerslam anyway, he's wanting time off. Though it would effect Taker me thinks if he did loose this year.

It needs to be done as his final match. I mean his big finish. Could you actually imagine if everyone knew this was Taker's last match, and he was up against someone massive that they knew would put on a hell of a match with him? The WWE would send people nuts. We'd read that he's set to loose to put over whom ever he's wrestling on his way out and use the end of the streak to symbolise the end of his career. Then the next week we'll read they're gonna keep it intact, forever. They'd be firing out inside scoops as to what the plans are for the match in every direction. Constantly change it, so that by the time the match comes around, no one has any idea what's gonna happen. The tension of that match would be immense.

So my answer is
:

Yes, I want him to loose to Michaels this year.

Though, maybe it should be kept intact until he retires.

Make his last match at Wrestlemania, and send people wild as to whether or not it's going to end.

Of course, what if this is his last Wrestlemania? The guy's needing new hips, he's in a bad way.

Well, right now I think that the whole streak thing has been built up so much that it would be pointless for Taker to lose this year, and continue to wrestle. It would make much more sense, as Brady said, if they choose to end the streak at Taker's last Wrestlemania, as Taker's last match. Besides that, from a marketing standpoint the streak is soooooo sellable.

I don't know about anyone else here, but I LOVE the streak. I think it's brilliant. Probably over the last few years, my favourite match (or at least 2nd favourite) on the card was Taker's match just based on the fact that I actually wanted Taker to win and it means so much every time a wrestler would get sooo close to getting that 3 count. It builds crowd reaction, it doesn't bury any of the wrestlers and it does build speculation. I understand some people might feel that it's obvious he will win, but always this time of the year you hear the rumour "The idea of so and so ending the Undertaker's streak is getting a positive response from the creative team."

I've been avoiding any and all speculation or rumours of Shawn vs Taker 2. I want that match to surprise me, make me enjoy myself and put on one helluva match.

To actually answer your question, let him go undefeated. I have no desire of wanting Shawn to retire (if he actually is?) because he pretty much got me into wrestling, but he's getting pretty old, he has children and such now, and there isn't really much left for him. Let him retire at the biggest stage and what will surely be one of his best matches. But for fuck sakes Shawn, don't pull a Ric Flair and wrestle for some crappy company after having a terrific send off.

Imagine how weird it would be next Wrestlemania if Taker did loose this Sunday. His match really wouldn't mean as much as it does now, which is a whole fucking lot.

It needs to be kept til he retires.

Though I'll still be rooting for Michaels to keep it more exciting...

UNLESS...

What about this idea? Taker looses this year to Michaels. We can all assume that next year will be Taker's last. After Michaels ends the streak, we don't see Taker for ages, not for like almost a year. And then during like the Royal Rumble... DONG! Michaels, you ended the streak, and this Wrestlemania, I'm coming for you. But we don't actually see Taker til Wrestlemania to build the suspense further. We just get lights going out, music and the odd video montage.

Wrestlemania 27, Michaels Vs. Taker III, the rubber match. 60 minute Iron Man.

Eh?

Wow, Brady for real, you do need to be on WWE's creative team.

Really, TNA should have brought me in instead of Hulk Hogan. They'd be doing a lot better than they are right now.

I even know how to do it better than Hogan...

To get better ratings, they shouldn't have went to Monday nights, they should've stayed on Thursday nights, but have it live every week. If people can read what's gonna happen online for the next three weeks of television, they're only gonna watch if something they need to see is gonna happen. Maybe move to Monday nights if they're getting ratings of a similar level as Raw, not when Raw dominates them by like 300%. Fuck you Hulk Hogan, you're an idiot.

But this isn't about Hogan, it's about the streak. Rant over.
