Chainsaw! also i hear it's in Louisiana Really valve? is this is a good idea? This means instead of a infection-based zombie, we're getting voodoo zombies. Now if you don't know your zombies, let me stack the facts. Infection-based zombies; Origins:usually from a virus created by government, in part of super soldier program, gene growth, or gene replication. Rot: not much , usually holds the host's frame well enough to have any parts falling off. damage tolerance: Not high at all, no specific weakness, you could probably stab it with a pillow and kill it. Attack strategy: usually in packs, rush a source of life, and tenderize it. Drive: Unknown, some movies portray feeding, some senseless violence. Favorite food:Mixed bag(blood, flesh, organs, doesn't always need to be human) Special notes: The most popular of all types in recent years, with such movies as 28 days later and resident evil. Voodoo/HooDoo zombie(believed to be the original inspiration) Voodoo is good;HooDoo is bad, though the line in movies has been skewered. Origin:Usually a pissed-off voodoo priestess, or spirit. there is also another variation i call a "wanderer"(no real name for it, though the idea has been toyed with) which is a wandering soul that's has unfinished business(the zombie usually has had a voodoo-involved past.) Rot: Ranges from skeletal to full human, this doesn't seem to effect speeds, yet the less flesh, the more it seems to get stronger. Damage Tolerance; This depends on whether it's the lead zombie, or a follower. Follower;destruction of the brain is the usual path, and death of the lead will revert this subject usually, though it has been known to cause death. Leader; Very strong, sometimes brain damage will not kill it. Think Voorhees on steroids. It will sometimes require another ritual, or slaying with a sacred item. Attack strategy:Fierce strength, utterly unstoppable, and unbelievably savage. There is usually one to 3 in one movie. As it feeds more and stays alive longer, it seems to begin to gain better motor skills, as well as a better grasp of logic and strategy. One bad effect is that it will sometimes develop emotion, in which most successful zombies are unfeeling. Drive: Feasting,Revenge or the intent of the summoning. Favorite food: Almost always brains. Special notes: The purest of all zombies types. We're going to be fucked if we're in voodoo-ville, though if they have the zombie king type? That's going to be nuts. |
