It might do the opposite. It was actually quite accurate to the characters, which was a pleasant surprise. The only character who felt different was Bulma. Of course it was very hollywoodized, had bad acting, bad writing, and full of cliches. I went with hardcore Dragonball fans and they were actually surprised with how accurate it was and how much of it was of the Dragonball saga which should set up a Dragonball Z sequel.

Despite it flaws, I would be lying if I said it wasn't entertaining. Not a good movie though, but entertaining. It's childish and ridiculous and I think the movie knows it and captures it quite well.

2 of my buds went to see it, absolute DragonBall nuts. Hated the movie and advised me not to see it. Meh.

Maybe I should of mentioned my friends were incredably high and I just felt entertained by the bad film qualities.

I've been at bit busy at the cinema, here are the stand outs:

Monsters Vs. Aliens - 9/10

Just brilliant really, Keifer Sutherland is just hilarious, and I love Rain Wilson, though I was a bit sad that John Krasinski only had a couple of lines.

The Boat That Rocked - 8/10

An all-star cast British comedy about pirate radio in the 60's. It's really funny, and it has Nick Frost and Philip Seymour Hoffman, how could it fail?

Paint Your Wagon - 47/10

I actually caught this classic musical starring Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood on TV, not at the cinema, and I have to say, it rocked my world. I've taped it so I can watch it again and again and again. Clint Eastwood can't sing for shit.

just finished watching a few films last week:

the wrestler - 10/10.
amazing performance from mickey rourke, and the way the director compares his in-ring life to his outside life, where its boring is sublime. what happened at the end? you think he died after that spot or survived?

apocalypto - 8/10
i really enjoyed this one it was really interesting and informative about mayan culture.

the veteran - 2/10.
never watch this, its awful. embarassing dialogue, weak acting and the fact that most of the film is spent in a hotel room tells you a lot about it.

Clerks 1: 9/10 and Clerks 2: 8/10

Both films were amazing and so funny. The only reason i can give that Clerks 1 is better, is that it focused on more points than just small random gags like in Clerks 2. Though clerks 2 did show a funny side to 21 year old virgins xD

You wouldn't believe how sad I actually was when I discovered that song wasn't really in the film. Hand Me Down Ma Tin'O Beans was pretty fucking good though.

I Love You, Man - 10/10

Fucking brilliant comedy, with Paul Rudd and Jason Segel jamming with some Rush songs. I really liked this, I'm definitely gonna look for more stuff with Jason Segel in it. I've only seen him in this and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and he was really good in both. And I already knew that Paul Rudd was brilliant.

Fuckin' A.
