Hanna - 8/10

So yeah, really good film. Went to the cinema to see it, and after all the comparisons made from this film to another (and after seeing it) my girlfriend demanded that we watch...

Leon - 9/10

I see the similarities, but yeah, better. And I'd never seen this til now, weird right?

The Hangover: Part II - 9.5/10

Midnight showing, fucking brilliant.
Upon seeing this film thrice (two times since this last rating), I think I might reduce this to an 8.5/10. It keeps exactly the same structure as the original, even including the bands used in the soundtrack, though I thought that was pretty cool. I do guess, if you do have what was the best comedy of the year, if you're making a sequel, it might make sense with a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" formula for the plot, but still. The first felt more original, s'all I'm saying. And 8.5 is still good yo.

The Hangover: Part II - 8.5/10

And now onto the next film:

X-Men: First Class - 9/10

Yeah, I loved this, from top to bottom. Whether it be a special cameo from a certain mutant, the film using the original start that was in the first X-Men film, or just Michael Fassbender himself, and the fact that it's another film with him killing Nazi's.

I don't want to build it up to much, but I think it's the best X-Men film to date, easily. How it ranks amongst other Marvel films, you decide ('cause I'd be too biased towards the X-Men).

American Beauty - 10/10

My opinion on what I learned from the movie in the words of the great Vincent Kennedy McMahon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5Egfg5t1OM

Oh and Kevin Spacey is genius.

Hobo With A Shotgun - 9/10

I liked it better than Grindhouse to be honest. Never stops being edgy and always stays over the top and low budget. Never tries to be something it's not. It felt like a low budget movie straight out of the 70's. Loved it.

Captain America - 6/10

It wasn't bad, but I found it to be too cheesey and the CGI looked bad in some parts. Story was fine though, some parts just needed tweaking and same with the characters. Fun though. Action was quick and exciting, good humour in it. Worth a shot watching.

Creep - 7/10. Epic movie, sweet kills. Lots on unanswered questions and gay ending that didn't explain anything.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon - 7/10

Solid movie, my only gripe is that it was totally unreal. I know a Transformers movie isn't exactly real, but if you have a rope tied around your hand and you get thrown around like a rag doll, you are going to break your arm. When you fall off a 40 foot tall Dicepticon onto a Taxi, you can't just stand up and walk away like it was nothing.

Rise of The Planet of The Apes - 7/10

Much better than expected. Didn't really like the ending to much, but the scene shown in the credits was a much more satisfying ending.

I didn't really care much about seeing this film when I seen the first trailer, but the longer one had John Lithgow in it, so now I must see it.
