#8 Shawn Michaels vs Razor Ramon Wrestlemania 10 ![]() This match was very revolutionary for the WWE in terms of ladder matches. Shawn's dive is pretty legendary, the ending is pretty good and I would say this match is a great reason as to why we have so many ladder matches. #7 Randy Savage vs Ric Flair Wrestlemania 8 ![]() This match was great for many reasons. It had a pretty interesting story leading up to it, and had a good outcome in the end if Flair won. Actually concept seemed very mature for the WWE audience at the time which was mostly kids wearing red and yellow. If Flair won he would show naked pictures of Miss Elizabeth. The match itself was very good, it's not the best match of either man but they both did a good job and delivered a great match. Still a damn shame that this wasn't the main event. Hogan vs Psycho Sid was, and that match was garbage. #6 Hulk Hogan vs The Rock Wrestlemania 18 ![]() Now this match, is pretty good, but the whole atmosphere is amazing. The crowd, all 70,000 Torontonians (including myself) marking out as Hogan faced off with the Rock. I would prefer Hogan vs Austin, but this was a great mark out moment. Both men are a great representation of mainstream wrestling and The Rock winning and Hogan doing the job, just makes it even better. |

#5 TLC 2 Edge and Christian vs The Dudley Boys vs The Hardy Boys Wrestlemania 17 ![]() Holy shit at some of this crazy shit. Lots, and lots of great spots. Edge spears Jeff has he hangs on the belts, Matt and Bubba do the 4 table off the ladder spot, Jeff swantons onto Spike and Rhyno. Great match. Lita delivered a fucking brutal chair shot on Spike to. #4 Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart Wrestlemania 12 ![]() Often regarded as the best Wrestlemania match ever. It is great, easily one of the best but I personally think it is too long, not to say it's boring the pace of the match is quite good for it's length and time period of wrestling. But really the whole point of this match is these two men are two of the best wrestlers ever, and they are proving it by going over an hour and having the best Mania main event ever at the time. #3 Randy Savage vs Ricky Steamboat Wrestlemania 3 ![]() Two of the most underrated wrestlers wrestling for, get this... The I.C. title. Back in the day the I.C. title was the shit, and great matches like this proves it. Some good spots, but a match filled with pretty much every move at the time, many reversals, many close counts, high flying, pretty fast paced. This is what you would call a wrestling match. It seemed it would be the last one WWE did for a while until around when Savage, Flair, and Bret Hart started getting the spot light. Edited by Duzzy, Jun 10 2008, 07:27 PM.

#2 Bret Hart vs Stone Cold Wrestlemania 13 ![]() Wow what a match. Like damn this was a brutal match and was easily the match that helped bring WWE into the attitude era. Stone Cold had a brutal cut were he bled quite a lot. This match showed that Bret can wrestle a brawler/hardcore style and he did a great job, hell both men did a hell of a job. At the time this was easily WWE's most violent match, and it's probably still in the top 5 most violent WWE matches. I actually can't really think of any right now. |

#1 Stone Cold vs The Rock Wrestlemania 17 ![]() Best Wrestlemania match ever. It was quite an exciting brawl both men doing everything it takes and the ending. It's a great ending. Some might say anti climatic but no it's fantastic. Stone Cold shocked the world by joining along side his enemy Vince McMahon and the match didn't even finish with a finishing move. Stone Cold just hit The Rock a lot with a chair then pinned him. This match represented the end of the attitude era. The whole era was about Stone Cold's rebellion to Vince McMahon, and as soon as Vince and Stone Cold shook hands after Vince helped him, a new era began. This is one of my favourite matches and is probably my favourite match from both men and is the best Wrestlemania match so far. |

The attitude era is so nostalgic for me, I couldn't get over how quickly it ended. What a way to kill it though. |
