Jupiter was on its last legs. At least, that was how a general majority of the Earth Union and Sulaymaan coalition saw things. Having pressed the attack on several occasions, it appeared as though Jupiter was slowly being crushed beneath the pressure being put on it. Battle after battle, Jupiter seemed to be losing more than it was gaining and it was this factor that increased morale for its opposition. Today, Sulaymaan would launch yet another attack to compound the pressure on the already strained Jovian forces. Their target was Axis, the one location that was a hotbed of death as long as its importance was known to anybody who heralded any real sort of power. Sulaymaan would, hopefully, retake Axis and place the valuable area under its control. “All forces, prepare your assault on Axis!” Yuki had shouted in the Sulaymaan communication line. Rows of ships had been sent to take Axis from Jovian influence, and each one contained soldiers who were ready to bare their fangs against anybody who might impede their advance. “All ships, fire!” Yuki shouted once more, and a volley of beams soon lit up Axis airspace. The ships held their position, their weaponry preparing for another shower of beam and ballistic fire. Having obtained respect from previous battles, Yuki had managed to obtain a relatively high position and her capabilities were slowly beginning to be known. Although she may have had the luxury of relaxing onboard one of the ships, she still considered it her duty to launch and lead her troops personally. She would not be one of those arrogant bastards who sit back and do nothing. Soon after the first volley, Yuki could be found in the cockpit of the Zero Jabal, one of Sulaymaan’s prototype units. She was preparing her own personal unit to launch while commanding the rest of her forces to attack. For the short time she’s been with Sulaymaan, her mentality matured faster than most might have anticipated. Additionally, continuously facing the mental strain of using the Jabal’s funnels had also improved her Newtype capabilities at a faster rate than initially predicted. “All allied Mobile Suits, launch and watch out for allied fire.” Yuki shouted yet again, turning on the Jabal and placing it on a nearby catapult. “All ships, prepare for another volley and support the Mobile Suits as they enter Axis.” The Jabal’s systems were green, and its pilot relaxed herself before she launched. “Yuki Sato, launching.” The catapult hurled the Jabal into space, the unit’s thrusters also forcing the Jabal into the battlefield at a much faster rate. |

The command bridge of the Calustio , one of the Defluo Idcirco's newest vessels put onto the line, had been more clam than most other command crews of the modern military. Patience had become a mighty virtue within the D.I., and had been a respected trait of the commanding officers. Among the fleet, a cloud of fighters also danced, maintaining a disarrayed formation of wingmen and commanders awaiting orders. The Calustio however, was the first to bear it's teeth as the fleet made a dagger approach towards the side of the Sulaymaan Republic fleet. Among them, the Cezaer de la Morte preparing for its own assault. Ion cannons ready, requesting permission to fire! The bow sections of two vessels had started glowing a deep blue, the circles on the thin strips of exposed mechanical equipment facing towards the enemy. Roger, open fire if they advance any further! All fighter squadrons advance and take out their defenses! As ordered, the cloud of fighters scattered before quickly reforming into their respective groups. Each group, took up Delta formation using evasive tactics as they made an approach towards the Sulaymaan Republic fleet. The two closest squadrons, carrying the standard issue high velocity anti-ship Shriker cruise missiles, had locked onto the enemy, but were quick to break into evasive maneuvers in the event that the enemy vessels started firing upon them. ------------------------------------------------ Within one of the two Cashivo class Carriers, a Black Dagger prototype had been armed and prepared for its first active test. The unit, unlike most, had been developed to test the fourth component to the masterkey system, and hopefully a better piloting computer to be used in future battle by the Defluo Idcirco. The pilot, known as Sheila Rigough, had never been in one of the newer mobile suits, and if anything, had been surprised by the older design cockpit she had been helped into by engineers. Slowly, her crimson red suit of armor glided into the cockpit, the armored fingers of the suit tying her long white hair into a pony-tail for storage within the helmet. The engineering teams, having fixed the systems up, waited for her just outside now, holding some of the equipment needed to pilot the newer mobile suit. Once she had gotten in, both engineers moved in. "Okay, this is a much more simplified yet complicated system similar to your neural interface.....normally it'd be placed on the back of your neck." The first engineer spoke as the second pulled out what looked like a band-aid. Peeling off the paper surface on one side, he then reached over and slapped it against the side of her neck just beside the plug in her neck. He then pulled out another for the other side. "....however we'll need to apply two nearby, because we can't use your older interface plug. The system is toned down a little, so you'll be using the basic controls again, though the interface pads allow the more detailed movements. Now be careful out there!" The other engineer stepped back after applying the other pad, floating out of th cockpit while the other engineer placed the helmet over Sheila's head, fasting the connection rings just where the neck connected to the head. Once that was done, he too pushed away, floating out and allowing the hatch to close. Soon, the cockpit was filled with darkness as the series of blast doors closed. Within moments the computer consoles came to life, lighting up the cockpit itself and allowing the crimson armor to be seen clearly. Both of the pilot's hands became fixed around a series of controls, allowing her to push forward on the throttle as the engines warmed up. Verniers built into the oddly designed feet, released a small burst of fuel to push the suit up before helping stop it in the middle of the hangar. As soon as the hangar doors were open, the thrusters flared to life, pushing the mobile suit forward and out into the battlefield. |

The hum of the TESTBED's cockpit calmed Silvia. Sure she didn't see any action in the battle at Arbiter, but she had gotten used to the TESTBED's atmosphere. The second append came with the ANEWS system, and since this was to be a decisive battle, she figured the Jovians would hit them with all they had. Silvia smacked a few buttons and enabled active scanning. Maybe suits in the hangar began to move, preparing for combat. Yuki's voice crackled over the com. “All forces, prepare your assault on Axis!” Something about Yuki's tone got Silvia fired up. It was at this moment Silvia decided to put and end to their abessive communications and fight along side her. “All allied Mobile Suits, launch and watch out for allied fire.” Silvia smirked. "Roger," she said, even though she knew Yuki couldn't hear her. “Yuki Sato, launching.” Silvia gripped her controls as she readied the TESTBED on the catapult. "Silvia Lasser, launching." There was the familiar click them fwoom of her suit being hurled into battle. "Yuki," she managed to say with a hardened voice. "I've got your back." |

Space...a vast area of nothingness, only planets shine in the sunlight, white dots twinkle in the distance..debris float like graves after a major battle. a Cashivo class Carriers is on the front lines of the battle over Axis a young unsual pilot named Nyu Aina Scythe sat in the cockpit of the ZAKU Custom, Nyu was in her full space combat outfit fitted with customized helmet to fit in her "abornomalities" "Im ready to launch" said Nyu in a mono-toned soft styled voice. The technicians ducked into the cockpit and gave her the A-ok. While on the cockpit platform, she activated the start sequence for the Zaku Custom with the beam cannons attached prior to loading the mech onto the ship. Nyu pressed a switch which triggered the cockpit to shut, then another few switches the monitors lit up. "Nyu Aina Scythe your go for launch" said a technician in the hanger bay The Zaku Custom walked up to the catapults and then was flung into space, the fuel cable detached as the Mobile Suit reached the other end of the catapult, the Zaku went into a steady spin, Nyu stopped the Mobile Suit for spinning even more, and came up beside Sheila Rigough waiting for the next move.... |

"Enemy forces have deployed a fighter squadron." crackled a voice into the Jabal's cockpit. "Commander, your orders?" Yuki's mind raced to come up with a quick series of commands that would be effective against whatever the enemy may be planning. "All ships, focus your anti-air craft fire on the enemy fighters and fire your CIWS in the enemy squadron's general location to decrease their evasion capabilities." She barked, sounding more like a commander as the battle was getting ready to heat up. "Fire a salvo of missiles at the enemy ships as soon as the CIWS fire screen is finished and follow it with your main cannon fire!" She wasn't done even though she turned her attention toward the incoming enemy mobile suits. "XO, take command of the fleet and contact me when necessary; I'm expecting to be rather occupied for this battle." Sulaymaan's fleet followed the orders it was given, firing off a voley of AA fire at the enemy fighters and creating a thick firescreen of CIWS rounds in order to decrease the chance for the fighters to escape unscathed. A volley of missiles were also launched soon after the CIWS fire, the warheads attempting to take advantage of the possibility that the enemy fighters would scatter as a result of the CIWS volley and increase their chance of striking the enemy fleet while being supported by the allied fleet's main weaponry. Yuki opened up a channel toward her wingmate, "Silvia, there seems to be an enemy prototype on the battlefield that doesn't seem to be associated with Jupiter or any other opposing faction, but its presence on the battlefield appears to be hostile." It was true; there was another unit that did not resemble any spacenoid or Earthnoid model to date. Five funnels detached themselved from the Jabal, circling the large unit with a pentagonal formation. "Let's stick close and fight like a single unit." The Jabal's active cannons took aim at the enemy prototype, and it eventually released a powerful burst of charged particles heading straight for the seemingly unknown unit. The five funnels also followed in suit, spreading out and away from the Jabal, releasing their own volley of fire toward the enemy unit's general location. Yuki was testing this new model's capabilities before she would charge in like her usual fashion. (Jackal, this is meant for you) "Engaging unknown unit." |

Incoming missiles, counter and proceed with firing immediately! The fighter dicisions, having been fired upon, would be the first step in a cloud of fireworks soon to come. From the bellies of each craft, bright glowing spheres ejected, blinding those who glanced towards them, and drawing the missile fire away as the fighters continued towards their target. Soon, the missiles, missing the hard-to-hit flares, curved to hit again, only this time, finding bigger better heat-filled targets; the vessels that had fired the volley in the first place. From behind, to cover the fighter squadrons advancement, the two assault frigates took the opportunity to open fire, long beams of light lancing out from the bow Ion cannon projectors. A trail of pure nuclear/ion energy lanced out towards the other vessels, the feed of heat continuously pressing towards their intended targets. As long as the feeds continued to press the energy onto the enemy vessels, the damage would continue to grow, but only as long as the feeds remained active. The fighters that were continuing their approach, used the Ion blasts as a means of bringing panic to the ships being hit, and soon were well within range. The high velocity Anti-ship 'Shriker' cruise missiles, dropped from their wing mounts before firing as the fighters broke into two-by-two formations while hugging the hull of their targeted vessels. The missiles had little space to travel, moving from their craft to the larger ship's hull below. To make things worse, fire that would attempt to intercept the fighters at such a range, risked hitting the hull of their own larger ship. Further out, floating beside the fleet, the Black Dagger, responded to the slight movements of the enemy mobile suit. Within the cockpit, information flashed onto the main computer screen as the funnels detached. The main sensors of the mobile suit adjusted to observe the funnels, soaking in details with each second that the funnels or the other mobile suit moved. within those valuable seconds, a warning had been posted within the cockpit, the side screen flashing with lines forming a massive web of possible trajectories. Soon, most of them faded away until only a few remained. none of them were focused upon however, as the thrusters in the feet released a powerful burst of energy to push it into a spiral to the side. More thrusters kicked in, moving it away from its original position and giving the unit time to bear its weapons as the beam weapons received the order to fire from their pilot. The main gun, a Photon shield, took aim for the opponent, the neural interfacing systems allowing it to be done without the possibility of a lockon detection. The Photon weapon mounted within the shield, fired once at the enemy with the time that could have been used to fire two more, spent in aiming with great care to disable the enemy unit. The ships behind, were relatively unaffected as the Cezaer de la Morte proceeded to the front of the fleet, AB pop cans firing from their respective turrets to intercept possibly lethal shots heading for the fleet. |

"Let's stick close and fight like a single unit," came the order from Yuki. The TESTBED readied it's sniper rifle. "Roger that," came the reply. Yuki seemed to instantly spot the enemy suit due to either her abilities as a pilot or her abilities as a newtype. Silvia merely watched as Yuki released a salvo of missiles towards their foe who slimly dodged the incoming projectiles. Silvia raised her rifle and took aim at the enemy suit. Aside from the distance, the enemy was moving quick, so getting a bead on it would be difficult. Silvia's cross hair followed the suit loosely. Suddenly, the enemy raised a weapon and pointed at the duo. Due to the distance, Silvia could not make out whether their foe was targeting Yuki or herself. Suddenly, a flash emitted from the enemy's weapon. The muzzle flash gave Silvia a location. "Yuki!" she yelled. Without the time to explain, Silvia squeezed off three rounds at the enemy. She then fired her thrusters and guided the TESTBED quickly to the side hoping her target wouldn't follow her muzzle flashes as she had their's. |

after Launching from the carrier Nyu she seemed a bit disorientated from leaving the carrier at such high speeds, she pulled back the throttle controls to slow down the ZAKU Custom, the apogee's quickly automatically adjusted and boosted to stop the mobile suit going in a sudden spin, Nyu was lucky to miss the sudden fire onslaught. Nyu saw the the three shots coming in towards her ally, she quickly punched on the comm.‘s " i have no time for names, quickly move you have three shots from a sniper style weapon". Nyu quickly boosted forwards a bit, stopped, the two high energy beam cannons which are located on each shoulder raised "horizontally" with the ZAKU, Nyu squeezed on the trigger firing 1 energy beam from each cannon in the last known location of what appeared to be a Sniper styled Mobile Suit aimed at each shoulder (gurglebunny) |

((ooc: This is what I managed to salvage)) "Defensive maneuvers!" the fleet's commanding officer shouted once he noticed the fighters evade the majority of the attacks, his fist pounding the chair in frustration. "Deploy all MA! Saberfish, corefighters; everything!" From the hangars of the ships did Sulaymaan's own fighters deploy en masse. Some of the mobile suits also moved to intercept, and about half of the fighters had scrambled by the time the enemy's Ion weapons collided with the Sulaymaan fleet. Although the captains of their respective ships were in a state of 'The hell was that?' the pilots of the fighters had launched. "Fighters, protect the rear line! All MS forces near the ships, support the fighters!" the second-in-command shouted, knowing all too well that the front line was to be destroyed. "Front line, fire all weapons! Advancing MS, watch for fire and continue advancing!" The frontal ships fired everything. Countless missiles and beams were now heading toward the enemy fleet in an attempt to take them out in one blaze of glory. Guns exploded from the forced increased firing speed, and missiles even collided against each other. Although they managed to let loose a majority of their weapons, they had been destroyed by the enemy's assaults against their hull. The fighters launched, attempting to intercept the enemy units that were nearing the rear line. They were firing anything that could fly fast enough to intercept the enemy's missiles. The remaining mobile suits had also done what they could to prevent the enemy from succeeding in fully crippling the enemy fleet. In a show of loyalty toward their faction, a few suits and a few dozen saberfish performed a suicide run on the enemy fighters and missiles. "Dammit!" the XO shouted, seeing the carnage that was displayed on his screen. "All fighters, counter attack and protect the remaining ships! All ships, reform the line and strike the enemy with your missiles and beams; focuse your AA fire on the enemy fighters!" The fighters moved to counterattack, the saberfish releasing half their compliment of missiles and firing their machinegun, and the other units had also done what they could to fire shots at the fighters. Chaos. That's all it could be called. Yuki's eyes traced the enemy unit, and she noticed the enemy prototype's right arm seemed to move. She froze for a moment, and she wasn't quite sure why. As the barrel of the gun moved, she heard her name being called. Suddenly, her attention was brought back and she reflexively forced the Jabal to move to the right. The enemy's cannon ripped through the outer shoulder armor of her unit, sending shocks running through the unit itself. The cockpit shuddered, but Yuki managed to get through without taking any wounds from a few flying shards. "That's not a beam..." Yuki whispered, calling her funnels and sending them forward to perform mid-range combat against the enemy prototype. As they drew nearer, the Jabal's funnels fired, letting loose a volley of attacks. "Silvia; support!" |

Among the destruction of the Sulaymaan Republic vessel,s smaller more nimble Jacket fighters could be seen maneuvering between the CIWS turret fire while intercepting specific targets. Missiles were released towards the enemy fighters and mobile suits, the Shriker scatter missile pods relying on their naturally great velocity to take out the enemy. If the missiles didn't hit however, the Jacket Fighters would still have an overall advantage. Following orders, most of the Jacket fighter squadrons broke up into wingman formations where they then began intercepting Full Vern core fighters that posed a threat to the standard Defluo Idcirco fighter divisions. The Ion cannons on the Defluo Idcirco Assault Frigates, were soon accompanied by quick bursts from beam cannons mounted along the outer hull. Soon, the Defluo Idcirco fleet was unleashing everything it could as it continued to approach the flanks of the enemy. The pillars of light from the Ion cannons had lost their uniformity as they started firing at select targets at random intervals. Among the beam cannon rounds and Ion cannon shots, high velocity Shriker anti-ship missiles had once again been released in large quantities from the Defluo Idcirco fleet. The Black Dagger unit, was in no better position to be protected from the war. Mobile suits had started colliding and blowing up around it, but the select target was still in its sights. The pilot within quietly began counting the recorded trajectories and movements of the funnels to identify how to locate them and position their firing trajectories. The result, was a series of lines showing up along the screen to the side with possible attack formations the funnels would be taking. In response, the pilot signaled the arm to move. Raising the rifle, the Photo cannon fired upon what had once been 'stealthy' Funnels. The thrusters built into the side, fired in unison with the verniers, maneuvering it out of the calculated trajectories of the enemy's funnels and into another series of sporadic maneuvers. As it continued to move, another shot glanced by, melting the surface armor of the left leg slightly while a second shot passed just behind the head of the unit. A third shot skimmed the foot, melting the armor completely and exposing the vernier systems within. Immediately the onboard tactical observation system recorded the information, slipping the shot trajectories into the second recorded mobile suit slot for weapons use. Inside, computers struggled to calculate more actions that the enemy my perform, however it lacked the data needed to make such assumptions. The unit looked over, seeing the attacker. Aiming the Photon cannon, a single shot was fired, aimed to hit with coordination of a sniper. |

Silvia's shot had little effect on her target. At this range, getting a sure hit was going to be a feat unto itself. Since they weren't fighting on Earth, things like humidity, wind speed and the Coriolis Effect wouldn't be a factor, but Silvia was openly engaging a moving target in space, so she had no cover and couldn't keep still. Silvia's mind was brought back to the battle. Yuki had been damaged and was in need of assistance. Silvia fired her thrusters and flew towards her ally. Then, without warning a gallant energy beam tore through space at the location at which Silvia had just been. If Yuki hadn't called for her, the TESTBED would've been scrap by now. Sweat dripped down Silvia's brow. "Yuki! I've confirmed another hostile! Repeat, another hostile has entered the battle! I have to defend myself, can you do without me?" Without any time to wait for a response, Silvia took aim at her newfound foe. "Yuki, I can stay close, but you're going to have to take care of that one yourself." Silvia managed to locate the enemy and fired two rounds, one aiming at the unit's torso and the other at its beam cannon. If Silvia wanted to win against that kind of a weapon, she either had to destroy it or stay well out of it's effective range. |

the warning lights flashed in the cockpit to alert Nyu that theres an oncoming attacking, Nyu looked forward "huh?" . Nyu quickly boosted to the left, into a barrell roll then down, to dodge the attacks. the first shot completely missed and Nyu boosted to the left, the other one came close as she continued the manuever, the whole cockpit shook "that was close" said Nyu still calm as ever. Nyu boosted towards the enemy unit, information came up on screen "mm...so thats what im attacking...a heavy armoured Mobile Suit" the enemy was in Nyu's sights, she fired the cannons, the left cannon fired towards the enemy left shoulder and the right cannon fired towards the enemy right shoulder, both cannons fired in unison, (Gurglebunny) |

"Divide the fighters and have the saberfish have them take out the missiles. All ships, evade! Advance on Axis; we're not through with this battle yet!" the XO shouted amidst the chaos, knowing all too well the capabilities of the enemy ships. The ships lurched forward, slowly building up momentum and speed as they made their way toward axis. The fleet commander had a plan, and wanted to take advantage of the giant floating hunk of territory. The Sulaymaan fleet pressed forward, but that wasn't all they were about to do. "Counterattack and continue the advance; we'll show them not to take us so lightly!" The ships that were armed with more cannons and missiles took up the side the enemy fleet was arriving from and they began laying down a thick volley of assorted shots against the enemy ships. "Focus on the enemy's main cannons; destroy those ships and prevent them from dealing more damage to our fleet!" Sulaymaan's main attack ships began to fire that the enemy's Ion Cannon bearing ships, attempting to destroy those before they could do more damage than they already were doing. The Saberfish moved to intercept the missiles, a good half of their numbers doing what they could to take out the speeding weapons. Due to the distance, they had more of a timeframe to strike the missiles down which helped decrease the high velocity advantage that the missiles had. Despite being old and outdated, the high spread of machinegun fire managed to take out a majority of the missiles, yet some managed to break through and strike their targets. The second-in-command took in a report from one of the ships explaining the maneuvers the enemy fighters were taking. He immediately opened up a link to the fighter units that Sulaymaan had under its control. "FV Core Fighters, form up and cover each other. Core Fighters, form up with the remaining Saberfish and cover the FV Core Fighters." Immediately, the Full Vernian Core Fighters took up their own formations, working together to cover each other from the enemy's Jacket divisions. Knowing that the Full Vernian units were one of the keys to their victory, the Corefighters and the Saberfish began to intercept the Jacket fighters themselves while at the same time attempting to take out the enemy's standard fighters. The Sulaymaan mobile suits continued their advance, working their way beneath the enemy fleet in order to catch the massive machines at their weak points; their bellies. With those that could fire with relative accuracy, they began to fire a light volley of bullets while the remaining units were still entering their own adequate range. As the fighting roared, Yuki herself was busy trying to take out her own enemy. When her shots hit their mark, or tried to anyway, something wasn't right. Once the enemy's cannon fired, it was aimed in such a manner to predict where her funnels would be moving to evade; taking a good four of them out and one barely scraping away. The enemy seemed to evade her fire as if it knew where her funnels were aiming. She knew the enemy wasn't a Newtype or she should have felt her presence, and this left Yuki wondering what was going on. Although her mind was at work trying to find the reasoning behind the enemy's behaviour, she wasn't drawing all of her attention away from her enemy. She kept her finger on the Jabal's verniers, waiting for the enemy to make its move. The enemy prototype took aim, and Yuki took this as her cue to evade. Suddenly, with a show of brilliant force, the Jabal's verniers and thrusters pushed it to the left side and slightly upward. The shot managed to provide quite a large bit of melting damage on the Jabal's right leg, somewhat exposing the thrusters beneath. She needed to close the distance fast and fight at a range she was best in. The Jabal deployed four more funnels to take place of the fallen ones, and spread out in a wide square as they closed in on the enemy unit. With a mental command from Yuki, they fired at the unit's general location, once again threatening to close the enemy's escape routes. As the Jabal moved forward toward the enemy unit once again, its Active Cannons fired; attempting to take out the enemy as it was evading her attacks. Soon after her cannons finished firing, The Jabal began moving slightly left as it continued to close the distance. |

Frank Orley, a man of thorough piloting experience and attraction towards cottage cheese, had been one of the few select pilots that had managed to scrape by the extensive training and test programs admitted to veteran pilots, Orley's scores being the only thing that made going through the hell worth it. Now, his years of combat piloting had earned him a spot among the respected Defluo Idcirco Jacket fighter squadrons. Like most, he dressed in the slightly modified pilot suit, appearing much like normal U.S. air force pilots, but with the suit sealed and air hoses leading to air scrubber canisters on the belly. His eyes had been hidden behind the thick black shatterproof visor, which reflected the greenish glow the of the control panel ahead of him rather easily. As he moved to evade the now thickening fire of the enemy fighters, a voice became audible with an unnatural feel to it, the presence of the voice heard within his skull rather than some external speaker. No sounds, nothing, could effectively drown it out. All Jacket Fighter squadrons, start dancing to a new beat or all you'll be diggin' are your own graves in space. Orley nodded, knowing what the message meant. Quickly his thumbs moved from the now useless primary missile triggers, and over two small thumb sticks placed on the two hand maneuvering wheel. Behind his thin Black and Yellow Jacket fighter, a full 'Vern' fighter took a flanking 'shoot-em-up' position, possibly locking on to fire the beam weapons. Orley responded by pressing the thumb sticks forward. Most of the maneuvers of the Jacket fighters had been lax, loosened up for fair competition, but now the pilots were getting froggy, and it certainly was time to start jumping. The back thruster/booster covers on Orley's Jacket fighter responded to the command from the cockpit, the covers shifting to block and redirect half of the blast so that a reverse thrust would be formed. Blue jets vanished, and soon hit the quarter-bowl shaped cover, flowing out from the opening on the side and scorching the heat-plating on the outer casing of the engine itself. The thrusters on the lower half, were not covered however. The result of the motion, provided a powerful thrust, sending the fighter into a maneuver that brought the nose and eventually the entire fighter up, before eventually curving around at an angle even full Vern fighters could not match. within moments, Orley's highly maneuverable Jacket fighter had positioned itself behind the full Vern fighter and its accompanying Saberfish. With both not having a chance of getting from the pilot's line of fire, Orley depressed the two firing triggers on the front of the maneuvering wheel, signaling the beam gun mounted in the nose to fire at the two. Jacket fighters that had once been pursued, were now moving to display their flight ability, any that were previously hunted, now hunting anybody who attempted to take them out. The standard Defluo Idcirco fighters however, were bent on taking out the enemy ships one at a time, sticking close to the hull and engaging only when they had little chance of their shots being intercepted. Minor losses being reported, all units stick together, anybody who dies does not get paid! The ships within the Defluo Idcirco fleet had been taking a beating. While the two Assault frigates that mounted their usual Ion cannons had been taking it bad, very little of it could compare to what they expected. Most of the beam rounds from the fleet were slowly but surely attracted to the EM pillar from the ion blasts, the plasma within the beam shots dispersing upon being drawn into the superior EM forces of the ion cannons. The Ion cannons themselves remained fixed upon the enemy S.R. ships that moved to drift away, the crews now coordinating missile strikes on select targets such as the thrusters of the lead vessels. From below, another attack force was met with some of the more critical battlefield pieces that had not yet launched until now; GM III's. Beams traveled from the slight mob of mobile suits and down towards the S.R. mobile suits that had been trying to take up positions. Other units among the Defluo Idcirco arsenal, such as GOUF Custom units, had also deployed, but were careful to stay close to the carrier behind the fleet. Their modified weapons payloads, unleashed a majority of the beam barrage aimed at the mobile suits coming from below. Sir, Ion cannon three is down! One of the two Assault Frigates, the closest to the enemy fleet, had slowly allowed its front to turn into a surface plating to turn into a molten environment. Having gone too close for the Ion cannons to effectively draw away some of the fire, the ship had started experiencing trouble as the armor turned to nothing more than molten slag around the bow. Within moments the second ion cannon on the front fizzled, and vanished from sight. The blue pillar feeding from it, thinned then died away, leaving only two more from the frontal Assault Frigate operational. Backing it up however, the two carriers were quick to fire their modified beam 'Plasma' cannons at the vessels threatening to slay the assault Frigate in its crippled state. We need help out here damnit, get us some missile support on the second battleship to the flank of the Sulaymaan fleet! The battle had started evening out, but it wasn't surprising. Defluo Idcirco only had skill and technology on their side, not the sheer numbers of the Earth Union or the Sulaymaan republic. Now though, the pilot of one of the Black Daggers, had been witnessing the true ingenuity of human creativity. The Black Dagger, had been bringing up more information with the opposing pilot's movements, however the limitations of the crown system were being reached. The cockpit temporarily lit up as the Funnels were either crippled or destroyed by the shots, giving her a small opportunity to grin with satisfaction. It was now though, that she had to act in response to the incoming attack of her opponent. More funnels, marked as they were detected by the detail observation computer, quickly marked the billions of possible trajectories, before narrowing them down to three firing positions the funnels would take. As they began to settle into their coordinated positions, the computer blared a bright red and yellow box in the side screen. There was no stopping it this time. The computer had calculated the trajectories, but the countdown, which would more than likely prove inaccurate, left only three seconds to evade the shots. Sheila Rigough pulled back on the thruster throttles before pressing forward on the pedals. The response was a full thrust blast from the feet as well as the other thrusters that happened to be aiming in the same direction as down. The mobile suit pushed pack, steel ripping from the left shoulder as a beam blast hit where the head would have been had sporadic movements not been performed. The other three shots missed completely. Had it not been for the positioning of her suit as it performed the maneuvers, the two shots that were aimed to hit during the possible escape, slammed against the shield. Steel and (supposedly) anti-beam gel coating drifted off as it was melted into nothing more than molten slag by the beam cannon shots. Bugger off! The photon cannon aimed for the funnels, marked because of their slight difference among the starry terrain, and the quickly cooling barrels. The Photon cannon on the arm fired to hit the funnels that were above the suit, a long dark bluish beam lancing out and moving to impale the selected funnels. The Black Dagger then moved to perform a slight spin to the right, aligning the barrel with the enemy suit (Yuki). Mechanical parts under the shield jerked and groaned as the trigger was pulled, a single dark bluish beam lancing out from the barrel to intercept the enemy suit as it made an approach. |

Sirens screamed inside the cockpit as two, well placed beam shots came flying at Silvia. She angled the TESTBED down slightly then blaster her thrusters, moving her suit straight down. The two beams flew straight past her suit's head, melting the TESTBED's shoulder armor. Warnings went off informing Silvia of the dangerously high armor temperature in that area, but due to the vacuum of space, the armor cooled to a safe level again. Had they been fighting in an oxygen ridden environment, a fire might have started within the suit and that wouldn't have been good. Silvia began to worry. So far she had yet to score a significant hit and her enemy was getting closer and closer with their cannons. If Silvia had any intentions of winning, she had to think of something. Her fingers danced across the keyboard. The TESTBED's linear guns folded over from behind and took a steady aim at its opponent. Silvia also raised her sniper rifle to firing position. She only had 5 rounds left in this clip, so this plan had to work accordingly. There was a slight lag during the cannons aiming sequence, but without fail, the cannons let loose their projectiles with a boom and a shudder. They hissed towards their opponent. As soon as Silvia saw movement from her target she let loose a single round from her sniper rifle. |

warnings light flashed across the monitors and the control consols, Nyu increased the ZAKU Custom's speed in a straight line heading towards the enemy mobile suit suddenly two big cannons came over the enemy mobile suit's shoulder, Nyu's eyes widen " if i get caught in that im screwed ". Nyu timed it right, as soon as the projecticles fired from the cannon Nyu boosted the ZAKU downwards, one projecticle scrapped along side of the ZAKU's arms, taking the armour off in a cross section of the arm, showing off the mechanicals. The Cockpit Shook and warnings light flashed red across the cockpit and a monotone female voice spoke out the damage to the arm. the enemy mobile suit raised its sniper rifle, Nyu boosted towards the enemy mobile suit with so much rage and fury, as the sniper rifle fired, Nyu barrell rolled to the right to dodge the rifle. Nyu in rage fired off two missiles from the missile pods located on leg, one missile from each pod one aimed at the torso the other at the left arm and in unison fired the beam cannon, one cannon bolt at the torso the other at the left arm. |

As the Sulaymaan fighters continued to dogfight with the Defluo Idcirco's units, the situation seemed to be going for the worst. Although the pilots of the Full Vern units were unquestionably aces and could even be compared to the skill of the enemy's Jacket pilots, their machines weren't up to the task. Although the saberfish and standard Core Fighters attempted to combat the Jacket fighters, their own effectiveness remained nigh useless as well. While the fighters were having one heckuva rough time against the DI's forces, the Sulaymaan's MS battalions were just now starting their own attack. As expected, they suffered a considerable amount of casualties, they continued to press on. Knowing all too well after seeing their enemy stave off beam fire from their mother ships, they focused on peppering the enemy with ballistic fire. Vulcans, machineguns; anything ballistic that their unit was equipped with focused on taking out the enemy's ships from below. Similar to the tactics of the DI's fighter squadrons, they were attacking the hulls of the enemy ships as well. The Sulaymaan MS forces continued to advance, closing the distance so that they could damage the enemy with a much higher proficiency. Enemy fire continued to pound on the already battered Sulaymaan fleet, and a plethora of explosions could be seen. "Sir, we have at least 30 percent of our original fleet strength remaining. A majority of our fleet has damaged thrusters. Enemy fire is taking its toll on our fleet, but it appears that the enemy fleet is showing signs of possible weakness; their attacks seem less frequent than before." relayed one crew member to the current commander of the fleet. "Confirmation of enemy mobile suits engaging allied MS received. Fighter squadrons appear to be highly ineffective against enemy fighters." The second-in-command was silent, sitting in his chair with his hand wiping his face of sweat. He was working his mind to its limits and tried to come up with some sort of effective counterattack. "Sir, your commands?" Finally, the XO brought his hand away from his face and looked at the battle screens with grim anticipation as to what his plan might bring. "All Saberfish and Core Fighters, attack the enemy's standard fighter units. All FV Core Fighters, do your best to distract the enemy's superior units; evade, counterattack, do anything to survive and give our other units time to fend off their fighters." His attention turned to the mobile suit units. "Continue having them advance and work to cripple the enemy fleet." Finally, his attention shifted to the ships; the mainstay of any assault force. "All ships, full speed toward Axis. Continue to focus fire on the enemy ships as you do so." The fighters worked to the orders. The Saberfish and Core Fighters broke off from attacking the Jacket units and proceeded to engage combat with the enemy's standard fighters. Knowing their survival rate had just been decreased; the FV Core Fighters also began to change their tactics. They moved from hunting Jackets to watching out for each other and attempted to drag the battle out longer. While their morale was shot from seeing the enemy's superior units, their mindset had shifted. They were fighting for their lives, and human ferocity could be seen in their maneuvers. Adrenaline rushed in their veins and that could be seen affecting their moves as well. The mobile suits, on the other hand, focused their fire on the enemy's thrusters as well, although most of it was focused on taking out the ships by their hull. Although orders had been issued, their general aim had changed only slightly but their purpose remained the same. The ships' speed accelerated as well, the faster ships moving at a speed relative to the units with crippled thrusters. Beam weaponry continued to rain on the enemy ships, and missiles were seen flying toward them as well. Although the DI seemed to be showing supposed weakness, Sulaymaan was as well. Two of the funnels were erased from Yuki's control, and she was forced to perform her own evasive maneuvers as the enemy took its aim. She moved to the right, but her reflexes were too slow. The enemy's shot took off her left fore arm, rendering it rather useless. She couldn't fight this enemy with your standard maneuvers. She had to be as undpredicable as it was if she wanted to win. She focused her visual attention to the enemy, and made her attack. Two of the funnels closed in on the enemy unit, taking up flanking positions. The Jabal released two more funnels, keeping them spread out and prevent then enemy from taking more than just one funnel out with one shot. With these positions in place, the funnels made a sporadic movement to throw off the enemy and fired a hail of beams at the Black Dagger. Fall! |

The fighter divisions had been breaking, most of the general use fighters of Defluo Idcirco, while superior to the average fighter, were very weak against full Vern fighters. Many, had taken up bait and fate shooting tactics, leading Vern fighters to follow other D.I. fighter that had supposedly been heading for 'soft' targets, however once they were intercepted, three more would break their flight formations to intercept the fool that followed the one D.I. fighter. Orley's division, the Fifty Eighth 'Bumble Bees' had been tasked with more. Orley knew the situation as it came, and like he had been trained, survived it longer than the other 'average' pilots of the battle. His fighter had luckily been undamaged as he calmly glided through the numerous clouds of beams and bullets, the monitors provided by the fleet controllers giving him a heads up on incoming fire and when to evade. For the most part, he had been fighting to keep up with the numbers other pilots were racking up, but overall he had been performing based on indication rather than impulse, his targets sought out only because of where they were going or who they were shooting. The heads up display projected on the visor of his tinted pilot's helmet, displayed an assortment of different information, transparent as to prevent distraction while moving to engage the enemy. During his flight however, another transmission came through, from controllers obviously. Looks like the Bumble Bees have a new target, communications intel reports that a majority of the fleet's movements are responses to orders coming from the indicated vessel. Sting and run before the cause of this battle becomes vain. Farley knew what that meant. Most Jacket fighters had been given the option of mounting Shriker Cruise missiles, but rarely did they keep them while in combat. Now though, it was really time for them to buzz and sting, as the command vessel had finally been located. The man's head looked away from the front of the craft and towards the side, his eyes scanning the surrounding fleet. Even through the volleys of beams and missiles, it wasn't hard to detect specific details. Even as D.I. fighters passed by, some exploding into flames, failed to distract the man. Eventually, the Heads Up display within his helmet, indicated the target vessel, providing specific Monitor reports on the defenses. Intel was good at that, and hopefully their skill would keep him alive on this suicide run. The nimble Jacket fighter, broke formation with four D.I. general issue fighters, adjusting its course while narrowly avoiding a volley of beams that had been aimed at it. Due to the overall agility, the fighter itself soon became aligned with the ship itself, but rather than aiming to fly right at it, the nose was brought up to the sky above it. Alongside, three other Jacket fighters along with two standard fighters took formation, making a Delta formation overall. Orley, just happened to be the point, and with the exception of one of the two standard fighters, happened to be the only one carrying Shriker anti-ship missiles. King Bee, mind if I join the party? Considering you'll need missiles to take out that ship n' all! The man within the cockpit of the Jacket fighter chuckled as the target came closer, without the need of additional thrust. Waving a hand to the others, he gave the man a thumbs up. The pilot within the standard fighter returned the thumbs up, before a series of holes formed in the left engine. Flames began to jet from the holes, before the engine itself burst, blowing the back half off of the standard fighter and sending it into a helpless plunge towards the surface of the vessel below. No screams came from the pilot, as he had been torn apart along with the rest of the inside of the standard fighter. Forget him, drop the noses and cascade below the defensive perimeter. Variable thrust to prevent accurate lockons. The D.I. fighter squadron, dipped their noses rather quickly before firing the scramjets built between the engine systems. The scramjets, gave an additional five second boost as they began to drop down towards the bow of the enemy cruiser, the command ship that supposedly held the XO. Even if it didn't, the placement allowed the ship to be a tactical disadvantage if disabled, forcing other ships behind it to break formation and scatter if they planned on following the rest of the fleet. As the fighters began to accelerate towards the surface, Farley pulled back at the maneuvering wheel, the fighter responding by bringing the nose up to a position parallel with the S.R. battleship's hull. The overall result gave it the feel of 'free-falling' towards the ship below. The other fighters did the same. Cascading down, it wasn't long before the fighters were close to the hull, gliding along its surface just inches above possible destruction, and a few feet below guaranteed death. Their target, the command bridge of the ship would eventually come close, though the drastic maneuvers needed to avoid the thick of CIWS turrets and such would delay them. Orley knew it was a setback, but it was a necessary one. Beside his fighter, the other two kept close, providing temporary covering fire as they danced across the hull towards the control tower of the vessel at the front. -((more coming soon)) Their efforts however, were not the only ones working to change the battle. Not far off the Defluo Idcirco fleet itself was experiencing problems. Mobile suits had deployed, now firing downwards at the advancing S.R. mobile suit divisions that had attempted to destroy the fleet from below. While damage had been significant to the bellies of the carriers, ships like the Cezaer de la Morte had responded with a much more terrifying threat. Dragging four GOUF customs and eight GM III's, the Cezaer de la Morte had quickly fired off multiple Kinetic Canisters into the void between the enemy mobile suits and themselves. Calculated to hopefully work in favor of the ship, bullets hitting the kinetic absorbing gases, slowed to a harmless drift, while beams were intercepted by AB 'Pop cans' launched from their respective turrets. To add onto the trouble, the mobile suits hanging tight onto the outside of the vessel, had also started firing off their weapons in the general direction of the mobile suit forces advancing from below. The engines of the ship pushed it quickly towards the enemy mobile suits, waiting to get close and shred apart the smaller vehicles with relative ease. Between the two fleets, the Black Dagger had been struggling to keep up with the incoming fire. With the newer random movements, the computer had been required to collect more specific details, which would require the constant randomization of the mobile suit's movements for an extended period of time. Five minutes would be sufficient, but with something as poorly armored as the Black Dagger, those five minutes could easily equal a single death. In response to the deployment of two more Funnels, the system could only track them based on the detail difference they created against the star-filled background. Trajectories became a lot more difficult to calculate, but their positions were still known. As the two moved to position along the flank, the Black Dagger flipped around, taking aim for their movements. Two blue beams lanced out to hit the two funnels as they began making the minor adjustments for proper alignment. Once the two shots had been squeezed off, the stressed pilot took into consideration the one target that seemed to be an unlimited source for the problems. Keep it up with these pods and you'll be eating your arm tomorrow! The thrusters and verniers fired in unison, sending the unit into an upward thrust and moving away from the firing trajectories of the remaining funnels. As it moved up, the unit performed a spin adding a minor spiral to its randomized movements. The pilot however twisted the unit into an upside-down position as the momentum continued to pull it along, the right arm taking aim. Again, from the other suit's perspective, the burned armor plating on the shield revealed the internal components. The arm itself could visibly be seen adjusting as the finger depressed the trigger. From the barrel, a long blue beam darted out and towards the enemy mobile suit (Yuki) with the intent of hitting a leg or an arm. |

Silvia witnessed her enemy take aim with the beam rifle. Luckily, since Silvia was moving, dodging it wouldn't be a difficult feat. The enemy fired, and, as predicted, Silvia dodged the attack. Suddenly, the cockpit began screaming. The enemy had fired missiles as well. Silvia cursed and grabbed the controls. The beeps became louder as the missiles approached. Silvia slammed up on the controls, quickly accelerating to the TESTBED's top speed of 3.89Gs. Silvia felt the pull of the suit in her chest. She could not outrun the missiles much longer and had to think of something. As soon as the projectiles got close, Silvia engaged the back-up thrusters located in the suit's feet. the intense heat caused the first of the missiles to explode, creating a chain reaction and destroying the rest. Unfortunately, since the explosions were so close, the TESTBED's entire left foot was blown off and Silvia was sent flying. Silvia struggled with the controls, attempting to get the TESTBED back on its bearings. When she finally leveled it out, Silvia boosted backwards attempting to get out of sensor range of the enemy mobile suit. She was in trouble. "Yuki, I'm falling back to your location. I'm going to try and force my opponent into a gauntlet. Until then, my gun is yours." Silvia blasted the TESTBED through the darkness of space towards her comrade. If they could fight as a unit instead of individually, then Silvia saw a chance for victory. |

Nyu saw the foot being blown off, and noticed that the TESTBED was boosting backwards , Nyu used the longrange sensors to try and locate it "Damn the Mobile Suit is leaving my sensor range". Nyu activated the ZAKU's boosters projecting the Mobile Suit forwars in the last known direction of the enemy Mobile Suit. The ZAKU was projected at its max thrust. The Enemy Mobile Suit finially just came into sensor range, Nyu gave off an evil laugh and said after the evil laugh "Now i've got you" Nyu fired the beam cannons one cannon beam aimed at the left shoulder the other right, Nyu fired the beam cannon again 2seconds after the first round, this time aiming at the head and torso (Gurglebunny) |
