"Seems the Empire's not the dullest knife in the drawer. Attacking the one place that's still under construction, the place shouldn't be greatly protected." Alvis said to himself. "Quit praising them and just brief me already." Kazuar complained. "I want to get this over with." "Capture the base. Simple as that." "Easy for you to say." "It's a standard operation. The base is under construction and has minimal protection. Just don't risk setting back the base's construction and there won't be a problem. The rest of the Empire's forces are waiting on your command, so get started." "Alright. Blood Wolf to all units: move out and blitz the base. Keep collateral damage to a minimum." Kazuar ordered. "Hazel Owsla, Type 2 armament cannon variation, taking off." (Type 2 Armament with beam cannons equipped rather than missiles) |

As the Jupiter Empire ships close in to what they called the "Hard Hat Area" Khaiban's palms began to sweat as he borded his Dreissen and awaited commands for launch. His arms and legs were shaking slightly but his mind was rattling with wound up emotions and doubts. " *Sigh*, I can do this just stay focused and remember your training" He chanted to himself continuously in a soft tone, for this was his first real mission and no one would be here to walk him step by step like in training. An uncertain facial expression plagued Khaiban's face moments before he ended his pre-battle ritual. "Alright. Blood Wolf to all units: move out and blitz the base. Keep collateral damage to a minimum." As the sound of his leading commander flowed through his intercom he realized the time was now, a new terror had befallen him, his first battle could be his last but only negativity will bring the worst so against his emotions he swallowed his anxiety and turned it into bravery although still shaking, he was no longer uncertain and at that moment he drove himself head first out of his negative shell. Hazel Owsla, Type 2 armament cannon variation, taking off." The sound of his commander taking off first gave him a sesne of comfort. The metal machinery and auxilary thruster sounds engaged him farther into his concious . "Hmph!..Khaiban Urichi.., Dreissen, Beam Tomahawk variation, preparing for launch...and .. taking off.* |

Yakumo breathed in the filtered air from his helmet. The familiar smell washed over him once more as the base neared. His heart was pumping only slightly faster than usual. It had been awhile since he had last been put into action. His last had beat him up pretty badly, but no one could stop him! And now, it was revenge...some bastard had blown the crap out of Lageu... Shit...All those innocent people...blown to pieces like that...wasn't there a damned peace treaty that was signed just a bit ago?...Damned bitches...Not only that, now these Sulaymaan bastards are starting to attack our lands too. Was the only way to achieve their goals truly limited to just wars? Were those goals so different that people had to destroy civilian areas just to get their point across and start a new war? Damn it all... The Sulaymaan naval base appeared on the monitors. His grip tightened, then loosened over the control sticks. Yakumo smiled. Even though the GOUF was a mass-production type mobile suit, it still handled quite well. He licked his lips as he mentally went over the list of weaopns on his white and black color-themed suit. Whoever he was going against was going to be punished...it didn't matter who it was...no matter how many he killed, those defenseless people weren't going to come back...so he might as well send some more down to greet them. Yakumo started a little as the mission transmission came through. "Keep collateral damage to a minimum and capture the base...huh...?" Yakumo took a deep breath, then calmed himself. No, regardless of the situation, killing without regret was wrong...soldiers...were soldiers. Pawns of the higher-ups they swore to follow without question. No one was to blame - if anything it was the petty power struggles. Yakumo laughed a bit at himself. When did he become such a philosopher? "IKUZO!!! GLORY TO THE EMPIRE!!!" |

"We're under attack! We're under attack!" a random ensign shouted down the hallway, banging the broom into a bucket while running down the barracks. The base that had once been drowned out by the sounds of construction had been playing a different tune now. Sirens went off all around the base, the mind-numbing sound of boots could be heard stomping off to wherever their owners had to be. It sounded like the inner workings of some mass-production factory, as defenses rose to their place, hangar doors plopped open, and the construction team began heading to shelters. Takeshi had already left his bunk; walking at a fast pace to the mobile suit hangar while jumping and skipping around, trying to cover as much ground has he could while putting on his clothes. As he reached the hangar doors, he had ran into some of his other fellow pilots. Most of them were young rookies like Takeshi--never tasted battle, never came close to death. Opening the doors, Takeshi was awakened from his half-asleep daze by means of strong winds of numerous mobile suits taking off. Reality had yet to hit the young man; this all still seemed like a drill. Though he told himself that this was a live battle, his mind just didn't take it in. "Kamogawa!" a technician yelled, waving his arms at the young ensign. Takeshi turned his head as he ran towards the mobile suit. Grabbing onto the line, he was elevated to the cockpit, where the technician stood. "What's going on?" Takeshi asked, jumping in the cockpit of the Zerueyun. "We're under attack. Multiple enemy signals detected not too far away from base. Intercept them." It was blunt and to the point. Takeshi would later grasp with own eyes the enemy numbers and strength. For now, his worries were running the final diagnostics on the MS OS. Several green lights blinked as Takeshi looked to the technician. "No Hyper Bazooka?" he asked, reading the equipment list. "No, kid. We don't have anymore of those. You're stuck with the one-fifty. Ammo's limited, so make em count!" the technician tapped on the door of the cockpit and gave a thumbs up to Takeshi, while retracting the platform to prep the Mobile Suit for launch. "The one-fifty!? Not even a beam rifle?" Takeshi said to himself, a bit distraught by the under-equipped mobile suit of which he was the pilot of. Loading the magazine and turning off the safety of the one-fifty, Takeshi gripped on the controls of the Zerueyun tightly. On the screen, Takeshi saw nothing but green. It was clear to launch. "Intercept... intercept... intercept..." Takeshi kept repeating, his leg violently moving up and down from his excitement. This was really happening. War, that is.. The catapult sent the mobile suit flying out of the underground hangar, as Takeshi fired his thrusters and made way to a concealed location on the ground by the front lines. |

Groaning under the strain of their own weight, several of the finished and active defense cannons rumbled to life. An assortment of 'pop-up' cannons came into view, their massive barrels poking just out of the ground in a similar construction manor to such facilities of WW2. Though the facility was young and under construction, emphasis was placed strongly on the advanced completion of her defenses; and the many turrets were several stages ahead of other facilities. For this particular stretch of coast, the guns focused themselves on the incoming Jupiter Empire forces. The assault seemed to be lead by their mobile suits, instead of their fleet, and so the small mobile suits were greeted by shells large enough to sink a warship. The shells themselves were well on larger than a mobile suits head, and the explosive impact they made on contact with the water was larger than several mobile suits alone. Even though not all of the turrets were active, relentless training had honed the massive cannons reload time down to an astonishing 3-5 seconds between shots. Inside each massive concrete structure, and in each hide-away pit, dozens of gunnery mates tended each barrel as though it were their child. The result, was a withering amount of fire being delivered at the oncoming forces.
Muscling its way down the dark corridor like carving through the rock, a single Ghazawa class mobile suit worked its way through the black waters. As was standard procedure for such naval installations the underwater ship/submarine accesses had their guide lights shut off. Instead of relying on its eyes, the mobile suits pilot instead watched the thermal readout carefully. The facility had the capability to match temperatures between the water and the tunnels to an extent to mask thermal detection of the entrances, and slowly the signatures were fading. Exiting the tunnel just in time, the Ghazawa clutched its beam cannon carefully and aimed it skyward. 22 fathoms skyward, the Jupiter Empire forces would be passing on their way to the Ossora facility. And that is when Alastair would spring his trap. |

The Earth Union's Izumo class battle cruiser Redemption, was in orbit above the Sulaymaan Republics naval research facility. "They want me to do what?!" Alice rubbed the temple of her head, as she looked at Kia through a monitor. "The Earth Union wants you to descend to earth, and assist in the defense of the Sulaymaan's naval research facility. These are orders from the top brass, so you are stuck with the assignment. " Kia sat back in the cockpit of the Jegan as he listened to Alice. "Fine...Fine I'll go down, and help them.” The monitor would close as the Jegan's cockpit closed, as Kia lowered the visor on his pilot’s helmet. The mobile suit would walk forward as the redemption opened the launch catapult. "You only have a fifteen second launch window so make this count. We don't want to here you landed in Africa. “Kia rolled his eyes at Mackenzie’s humor, as the Jegan laid itself down on a flying armor. The magnetic rail catapult would lift the Jegan and flying armor off the ground. "Kia Asakora, Jegan Launching!" The Jegan would be shot forward, as Kia was pushed back into the pilot’s seat. Reposition the flying armor for reentry the bottom began to heat up. At the Naval research facility it would seem, as a meteor was on a collision course for the sea. Once the smoke cleared they would find out that wasn't the case. I am not doing that again! Hm seems like they started the party with out me. Kia looked at the monitor realizing he was now on earth, and heading for the research facility. The Jegan would go from a laying down position to that of standing up. The one thing that a person had to like about the flying armor it doubled, as a hover board in the earth's atmosphere. The Jegan would now surf its way towards the naval research facility coming in from behind the Jovian, and U.C.N forces. |

The alert had been handed down, and because of the very likely event of an attack, the D.I. were ready long before the forces came knocking. Once the situation had been announced as an actual attack, the two Marksman class submarines issued to the D.I. naval force, dropped to a safety depth of forty feet below the surface of the ocean. the command bridge of the Bismark, the first submarine refitted and added to the newly formed naval force, was temporarily panicked before organizing to mount a counter assault against the offensive forces. the captain, a man around the age of forty himself, was a seasoned war veteran, and as such, had a knack for knowing the attack and defense procedures that were likely to be used by an invading force. Most of the lighting had been dimmed on the command bridge, leaving only the red combat lights to help the eyes of the command crew adjust to the darkness. The helm along with sonar operations, were placed more towards the front of the spacious command bridge while the tactical display remained placed in front of the captain. "Prepare vertical torpedo tubes, load them with subsurface launch missiles and prepare to strike against the approaching force." The officer's voice was deep, and fitting for his aged appearance. Like most naval officers, his uniform was a crimson red, blending smoothly with the lighting. His attention was quickly drawn away from the brightly lit green tactical display as the comm officer gave a quick whispered response. "Captain, a Belura is en route with a mobile suit division onboard. H.D.T.I forces will be available once the Cezaer can position itself in a suitable orbit." The captain nodded, then looked back at the tactical display. On it, a small red triangle, and a second blue triangle floated near the middle. Above, multiple red rectangles moved on the marked surface of the salty ocean. "fire when they move overhead, have the engines set on standby, and keep the vessel hidden until we can get a shot off." The captains mumble was acknowledged with a few hand gestures. Ever since the information had been handed down, the submarine staff had been keeping the vessels stationary, waiting for the chance to strike. From outside, the two submarines could be sitting among larger rock formations, blending in with the stone floor rather well. Camouflage that had been employed earlier, would help deceive enemy sonar, hopefully into the attack was made. |

During their approach the small mobile force would unfortunately be caught in the base's defensive fire. A shell had detonated against the water's surface near the Hazel, catching the pilot off guard and forcing Kazuar to veer off course. "Damnit Alvis. Of course they're going to have the one defense system online that suits their needs." Kazuar mumbled to himself. "Empire units, stay under those guns' firing arc. Approach from under the water if you have to but avoid combat until we reach the shore." he ordered. "I doubt this is all they have. Now I'm paranoid." As Kazuar was about to rejoin the group from underwater, there was the large splash of the Jegan as it skimmed over the sea water behind him. "That green one again..." Kazuar grunted. There was little time to waste, yet he shouldn't be hasty either. The Hazel continued forward from under the water, soon rejoining the Empire members. "We have another contact, this one's from the Earth Union. We'll ignore it for now and remained submerged. Gouf, you may have to deal with it when the time comes. Our first priority is destroying those cannons." With the newest orders given, Kazuar made his move. The beam cannons on the Hazel's shoulders poked up just over the water's surface and split open. Particles collected within the barrels, gaining strength. Calculating the weapons' positions based on their firing angle and source, Kazuar fired the cannons, sending a pair of mega-particle beams at the naval facility in an attempt to take out the guns lined up along the base. After firing, the guns were closed back up and returned under water with the Hazel to recharge. "Alvis, Mattus, keep the Aswan back until we at least take the shore. Sending it in now would be suicide for you." |

A ship waited in high orbit just out of the detection rang of the Earth Union Izumo class battle cruiser. This ship lay silent among the debris of what was once a group of battle ship that now littered the orbit of earth from one of the many orbital battles fought in orbit over the years. The ships had moved in the debris when one of it spotters had detected the Izumo class ship enter the sector and had gone silent and in to a powered down stat. “Sir from the ships out line we believe her to be the Earth Union Izumo class Redemption. She has taken up position in low orbit.. ” said one of the bridge look outs on the darkened bridge of the Enterprise. The Ships caption looked at him with a solid stair. “I see it seem the Earth Union was thinking along the same lines as were are and are planning their own orbital drop… Fine then have the crew get to battle positions and get ready to rush for lower orbit” The crew looked back at the captain in some what disbelief but turned back to their controls. “Set us on a course that puts us ahead of the Redemption and out of her firing ark. Then take us in to the atmosphere.” The bridge crew did as they were told and the Enterprise came to life. The massive rocket thrusters on the back of the ship fired and this ship was sent forward towards. The Enterprise raced forward, at full combat speed, heading toward low obit. As it entered low orbit its location to the Redemption set it a pretty go ways a head of its current position but off to the some side. Luckily the Redemption was in the middle of it own drop so even if it had noticed the Enterprise entering low orbit it would not be able to give chase with out messing up its own orbital suit drop. As the ship went lower in to low orbit its retro thruster fired slowing it decent towards earth. The ship using it assist motors quickly oriented its self to enter earth atmosphere. Being Albion class the ships was quite capable of making the transition from space to earth. With it shield section facing earth the Enterprise started to enter the atmosphere. The enterprise course would take in on a path parallel to that of the mobile suit launched by the Redemption but with a few miles distance between the two. Much like the mobile suit the Enterprise would look like nothing more then a large meteor passing in to earth atmosphere. It course would place it a few miles out side of the operation target are like planned. |

...if it were only that easy. Just as soon as the green beams disturbed the consistency of Empire Mobile suits crashing against the shells of the coastal defenses, a counter-attack was already on its way. Dug in deep along the coast line amidst the greenery were the front line defenders of the base. Takeshi, in his Zerueyun positioned in a Mobile Suit-sized foxhole shifted his aim to where the bright neon green beams originated. Perhaps it was good that Takeshi had been equipped with the one-fifty. They were solid projectiles, and he knew they would flush several enemies out of the water. A transmission came on screen, but there was no video. Only static and text reading "AUDIO ONLY" were all that accompanied it. "Dig in deep, boys. Keep em off the land. Concentrate your fire and the day will be ours. Make sure that we're the only ones to see action today, boys!" It was Takeshi's unit leader, Hiroki Yamada. A strong, confident man who was more scary than any enemy mobile suit. Just his every-day face told stories of glory. He was a true vet, hardened by history...stuck with a couple of young, hot-blooded rookies. He had quite a job ahead of him... For that, Takeshi was grateful. "Yes, sir." Takeshi mumbled, knowing that his commanding officer wouldn't receive the reply. Pressing on the trigger, the sounds of battle were no longer heard in the distance for Takeshi. He entered it, as several streams of bright yellow escaped the thick green, crashing into the water where the Hazel had fired from. Takeshi's position wouldn't exactly be exposed, though. He wasn't the only one shooting. Numerous trails of bullets escaped the coast line and met with the submerged invaders. Right now, they had the advantage. Right now they would cause the most harm. They were dug in deep within their own territory, whereas their enemy's only cover would be the water; that would prove fatal to many. Their slow moving mobile armors and submerged mobile suits would fall pray to the volley of mixed fire from the beaches. If the volley wouldn't destroy them, they would be filled with holes and forced to get out of the water... And we all know what happens once a submerged enemy comes out of the water. Sulaymaan weapons would catch it like a Bear would a Salmon. |

Yakumo's normally grinning face darkened as he heard the command. Time to engage in the first actual battle since his hospitalization. And god be damned if he didn't feel like shit at the moment. "Yes sir" What was this 'it' that Kazuar had told him to take care of? He glanced over at the monitors while keeping another eye on the screen in front of him. So far all he had to do was some basic avoiding maneuvers, as the GOUF was still at a distance where the cannons could not be used to their maximum potential. However, there was a small blip that was quickly closing in. Yakumo then understood the situation. As the rest of them were still submerged or too low to do anything, coupled with the fact that the GOUF was capable of atmospheric flight, it would be up to him to stop the MS that was closing in from behind. Pulling up and around sharply, the GOUF suddenly changed directions and headed towards the now-identified Jegan. He pushed the throttles to the max, closing in the distance as fast as possible. The GOUF was a close-range specialist, and the only long-range attacks that he could do was with the 4 barrel arm-mounted beam cannons. At this range though, the chance that he would actually be able to hit anything, especially by the fact that the Jegan was on a board-like hovering machine, would be next to nothing. Raising its right hand up, the GOUF pulled out and ignited its beam sword in one swift motion. Holding it by its side, the GOUF charged full speed ahead, straight towards the Jegan.

Alice's jaw dropped, as an Albion class ship made a bee line for lower orbit. "Mam that's not one of ours !" Alice would turn her head to the operator who had said this. A realization of what had just happened hit her. "Get in contact with the sulymaan naval base, and tell them they have company, and relay this information to Colonial Asakora. " The people in communications got to work contacting the sulaymaan's naval research facility. "This is the Earth Union Battle Cruier Redemption. We are currently above your position, the enemy has sent down one Albion class ship down to the battle field. Estimated trajectory places it outside the current engagement field. " Kia would look at the sudden open communications window. "Colonial Asakora the enemy has sent down one Albion class ship. It is currently outside the engagement zone." The communication would be cut out suddenly. So that's what followed me down to earth. Kia's brain was racking for the list of armaments that class had. He would be interrupted, as a monitor opened inside the cockpit. The camera zoomed in on the incoming enemy suit. The computer had identified it as a Gouf Ignited. Kia swore to himself, since he hadn't notice the Gouf's change in direction till now. I need to slow that suit down, he thought pressing a button. The Jegan would lift the forearm mounted shield in front of it. With half of its body covered, the Jegan would lift its beam rifle at the in bound Gouf. The Jegan's finger would press down on the trigger. The beam rifle would fire three beams towards the Gouf's midsection. The Jegan's shield would then fire four small missiles into the air. The missiles would arc back down towards the Gouf from above. The missiles were aimed to strike the Gouf in the shoulders, and the back flight unit. |

The sensors and alarms inside the suit started going off like crazy, the inside of the suit flashing a soft orange. Yakumo swore as he saw the beams ripping through the air, followed by a volley of missles upwards. Judging from the fact that the GOUF was nowhere close to the trajectory if the missles kept going upwards, Yakumo assumed that, as the saying goes, "what goes up must come down". At least on Earth, at any rate. Yanking the controls, the GOUF pulled into a tight spiral spin to the side that the enemy Jegan held the beam rifle (my side, so if you're holding the rifle with your right hand, I would be swerving to your right) while descending and maintaining its current speed. Yakumo grinned as the beams passed harmlessly overhead, but that quickly changed to a grimace as the suit rocked and creaked as the missles struck the water just behind the GOUF's feet. Yakumo kept his trigger finger off the controls for now though - although his current lowered angle would be perfect to take a shot at the suit from an unexpected angle, he wanted to keep the fact that he had wrist-mounted beam guns away from his opponent as much as possible. It was highly likely that the other side already had the general plans for the GOUF and would know of it, but it never hurt to be cautious. Kuso...when have I ever been this cautious...it was always do or die...Ah hell, whatever, here I go!. Gritting his teeth, Yakumo took aim. The GOUF flew forwards at max throttle, held out both arms, then fired off 4 beams each. One set of 4 was aimed at the lower part of the Jegan's shield and exposed leg (the leg on the other side of the shield) and the other set of 4 was aimed at the exposed shoulder and upper torso. Then, the GOUF put its right hand at its side, as the sword would increase drag, and fired off another volley diagonally, aimed at the Jegan's chest.

The Flames from reentry slowly died down as the Enterprise moved lower in to the atmosphere. From the bridge window the sky became a light blue and white clouds became visible on the horizon. This ships Minovsky Craft system powered up and the ships decent speed began to slow. “Status report where are we and how close are we to our original target drop point” barked the ship’s captain, as he looked over at the ships helms men. “Sir we have made it through reentry and are approaching the planets surface but because of the detour we had to make because of the Redemption our trajectory was through off slightly and we are now mile behind the man attack fleet, not over the Base like we had original planned” replied the helms men as he looked back at the captain. “Damn so we are behind every one now….damn I guess it couldn’t be help but from the looks of it this might have worked in our favor” said the captain as he looked out the forward window toward the battle that raged in the distance. “It appears that the enemies base’s defenses are farther along then we suspected. If we had come in over the base like we intended..” He shuttered at the though of what would have happened. Odds were the Enterprise would have been flaming wreckage by now. “Launch the mobile suit teams and bring us forward toward the back of the main fleet but keep us behind them. I don’t want to make use a clear target for the bases guns. Oh and also have that rat bastard Yumata launch as well hopefully he will go and get him self killed that traitors bastard. In the darkness of a cell in the brig Max Yumata sat. Up until a few days ago he had been setting in a jail ceil waiting his court-martial for his actions at Axis where he tried to bridge about a peace agreement . His actions had stopped the attack by the EU but it seem members with in his government and his higher up did not see what he had done as a good thing. Max never though he would be allowed to pilot a mobile suit again but apparently the brace had come up with a better means of dealing with him then a court-martial. They would put him in a mobile suit and force him to fight until he was shot down. If he didn’t fight they would put a bullet in his head and if he tried to get away during the battle they would activate a remote self destruct switch in his suits. Hell the may just activate it for the hell of it. Max’s silence was soon broken when the door to his cell opened casting last on him. A man stood in the door way looking at him with a cold stair. “Too your feet soldier it time for you to launch.” He said as a smirk came to his face. Max looked over at him and let out a sigh. Slowly he got to his feet. He had on his flight suit since that was the only thing he was allowed to wear. His hands where cuffed together and a chain ran down front then to a set of cuffs around his ankles. Max’s jailer lead him out of his cell and out in to the hall way out side of the bridge. Max looked around at the other crew members of the ship as they ran around like mice heading to their station. Only a few even looked at him but he could see their disgust with him in their eyes. As they walked Max concluded that they must be on earth because of the turbulence he have felt during reentry and by the fact that the gravity was much stronger then normal for a ship in space. Max kept quite was he walked, mostly cause he had nothing to say. Anther reason was he didn’t want to get punched again. His face already sported the remains of a injury he had gotten when he boarded the ship and said something. At last they reached the ships mobile suit hanger. Max slowly looked around as mobile suits came to life and left the ships heading out in to battle. Slowly his head turned to the mobile suit he would be using. His eyes fell appoint the TR-5 Hrairoo. Max let out some what of a sigh. It had been a while since he had piloted that suits in fact the last time was right before the Neo UCN reformed. It was apparent that they had made some improvement to the suit since then. The most notable was the two massive psycho gundam arms hanging off the support unit and a pair of extra sub arms in the back of the support units. As Max approached his guard stopped him and removed the cuffs around his wriest and ankles and he was finally allowed to enter the cockpits. As he was getting in one of the mechanics came up to him. “ok we are loading us the rest of your units equipment still so you still have few minutes to wait.” Max nodded as he got in and shut the cockpit. Max quickly got in to his set and started powering up the suits and checking the suits power system. Every thing was in the green and ready to launch. Through the suits monitors Max saw them attaching two long blade rifles to both of the shoulder claw support booster units to form their beam cannon configuration. As he waited a screen with the ships tactical officer appeared on his hudd. “Max Yumata your orders are to attack the enemy base. Due to some trouble on reentry we have missed out target landing area and are behind the main attack fleet. You are to proceed to the base under water. Since the battle was going to take place in an area surrounded with water you suit was already give several enhancements the will allow it to work under water but do note that your speed and the power of you beam weapons will be diminished while under the water to try and avoid the enemy while in the water.” Max nodded when the tactical officer finished. “Mission and orders under stood..” Max tried not to show it but he had a knot in his stomach. They were sending him in under the water where most of his weapons would be considerable weakened. It was clear they wanted him to get him self killed. Once the long blade rifles were attached to the claws and two spread beam shield boosters were attached to the extra sub arms max was given permission to launch. The Hrairoos eyes flashed green and the suit stepped out of it bay and reached over and picked up anther long blade rifle form the weapon rack for hand held use. The Hrairoo took a few steps toward the hander and tried to transform the hrairoo in to MA mode but a flashing light came on saying transformation failed. This was followed be a display showing the Hrairoo with the Psycho arms attached. Apparently he could not transform while the arms were attached. Max sighed this was something they could have told him before hand. The hrairoo stepped on the the launch catapults and braced it self. “MAX YUMATA HRAIROO BIG ARMS TYPE LAUNCHIMG” A second later the Hrairoo was sent flying out the hanger. Its thruster came to light and the suit glided for a few seconds above the water before it disappeared below the surface and proceeded toward the base. |

A lock on warning it was a normal sound, one got use to after piloting for so long. The Jegan would skim to the right as it entered a crouching position. The shield now covering the entire body of the Jegan, as it was in a horizontal position. Kia looked at the monitors around him, as he felt an impact. The shield had absorbed the far right beam shots, the diagonal shots impacted to the side of the Jegan. Kia would press the trigger, his free hand accessed the suits weapons list. The vulcan pod on the Jegan's head would open fire, on the base of the Gouf's sword aiming for the beam emitters. The right hand of the Jegan placing the beam rifle, on the back of its hip. Then remove the beam saber from its recharge rack, on the right hip. All of this was hidden by the shield, blocking the Gouf's pilots line of vision. The Jegan would begin to stand up again. As the suit placed one leg back, the flying armor would make a hard turn. The shield would still be horizontal across the suit. The Jegans head would pivot, while the vulcan pod fired again. This time the rounds were aimed for the 4 barrel beam gun, and the right wing of the back flight unit.

Damn it...that guy just won't quit! The Jegan opened fire first towards the GOUF's sword-arm, then quickly changed its target to aim for one of the wings of the flight pack. Yakumo pulled hard at the controls, his eyes following the Jegan's every move despite of the disorienting view caused by his barrel roll. He grimaced as he felt and heard an impact. Cursing, he quickly scanned one of the monitors at his side. He had been too careless. He had completely avoided the vulcan rounds aimed for the wings but had underestimated the angle for the ones aimed at the GOUF's sword-arm; several of them had found their way into the GOUF's leg. However, thankfully, the leg was still operating at about 93% efficiency - that wasn't enough to hinder the GOUF's maneuvering in any way. However, he would have to be careful; miniscule amounts of damage could add up very quickly. Pushing the throttle once more, the GOUF shot towards the Jegan, approaching it at an even level with the hover-board like object and from the Jegan's shield-side. Yosh! IKUZO! Have a taste of this monster's close-range capabilities! The mono-eye of the GOUF lit up momentarily, seemingly reflecting its pilot's determination and will, and throttled full-speed towards the Jegan. The GOUF swung the beam sword as its head neared the Jegan's knee area from its side in an attempt to cut through the ankles. Regardless of whether this attack succeeded or not, the momentum of the GOUF would carry it further along to shoot past the Jegan; even if the Jegan decided to parry his blow with its shield or the beam saber, he would be gone before it could get a decent shot at him, as he would be gone before the Jegan could reposition itself to strike at it with the saber-hand. Even if the Jegan could see his attack, at this range coupled with the GOUF's acceleration rate, there was no way that the Jegan could get away with no damage whatsoever. As soon as the GOUF got to the other side, it would rise up and fly downwards to attempt a second slice, this time an attack from behind in an attempt to cleave the Jegan in two. When the angle was appropriate, the GOUF would fire off one volley from both of the arm cannons mounted on the GOUF's forearms each as well as shooting out both of the retractable electrical "heat whips", both capable of sending a shock throughout the entire MS, penetrating even the cockpit, that would temporarily short circuit the machine itself. The shock would also permeate throughout the cockpit, perhaps even endangering the pilot of the Jegan in the process; after all, the shock would be double the normal voltage delivered by one whip. Also, even if the Jegan managed to dodge that too, the whips may deal its damage and voltage to the flier, rendering the Jegan helpless over the water.

The bullets from the Zeuryen hit the Hazel, though because of the distance, water, and the suit's Luna Titanium itself, they failed to do much damage. Kazuar brought the Hazel's shield up above its head should more bullets come down on it as the machine advanced. Until the particle cannons had recharged, there was little he could do. |

Takeshi waited in the MS-sized foxhole, ready for when the enemy mobile suit would pop out of the water after his barrage. The sheer size and intensity of the shells he had fired would have decimated his foe, if not that, at least punch a few holes in their armor. Patience was the game now... how long would his enemy wait before coming out of the water? Surely, to have several holes punched into your mobile suit, you may want to stop it from getting flooded. These mobile suits were heavy enough, unnecessary weight, as well as a flooding in the system were not very fun. His eyes glued to the screen, Takeshi hovered his finger over the trigger. Waiting, watching... for that one moment when his opponent would emerge from the water. When that happens, they would find 10 large 150mm machine cannon ammunition piercing through their armor. "Come on... come out..." Takeshi whispered to himself, waiting for the enemy to rise. |

Oh no you don't The Jegan's main thrusters activated, along with the the thrusters in the legs. The Jegan would propel itself into the sky, as its legs lifted at the knees. The Goufs beam sword would fly just below the bottom, of the suits feet. While in the area the Jegan's vernier thrusters would flare on the suit, as the right side thrusters were cut. This caused the Jegan to spin to its left side, as the Gouf fired its beam guns at the suit. The linear seat would shake about, from the impact of the rounds onto the shield. The Jegan landed onto the flying armor. The warning signal came in telling him the suit was in trouble. The Jegan's left hand would unhitch, one of the suits grenades. Ejecting the shield from the left fore arm it would provide, a shield from the beam gun rounds. With the shield now out of the way the Jegan lobbed the grenade up into the air, towards the Gouf's sword. The flying armor would go forward, but the Jegan itself fell into the water, while the right hand placed the beam saber, back into its recharge rack.. The grenade would be cleaved by the grenade, as it exploded on impact. With nothing to impact on, the heat rods would fly into the water. Once Kia saw the rods in the water. The Jegans hand would grab one of them, and pull on it. The Jegan's free hand would take a grenade, and tie it to the heat rod that had been pulled on. lets see how the pilot likes a little close encounter of the explosive kind. If the Gouf wanted him dead so much, he would have to come down here, and play. |

On board the Enterprise’s bridge the ships captain watched as all the ships mobile suits were launched including the Hrairoo. The bridge personal began running the finally checks for battle as the rest of the crew got to battle stations. It was about time to move forward and start the assault against the base. The captain slowly stood up and raised he hand getting ready to give the order. “All mobiles suits move in and..” Just before he could finish he was cut off by a transmission window opening up on the main monitor of the Enterprise. It in the newly opened screen sat one of the lead concle members for the Neo UCN. The captain blinked as he took his see and looked up at the screen. The thought, what the hell is it now, ran through his mind as he looked up at the screen. -- The darkness of the water around the Hrairoo cast the suits visual sensors in shadow. With his visuals untrustworthy under the water max was forced to rely on thermal imaging to see where he was going and what was around him while he was down the. Max had not gotten to far from the enterprise when a transmission came in. “Max Yumata return to the ship right away. Your orders have been change and we are taking you back to jail. Return to the ship now or we will detonate your suits self destruct system” said the voice of the ship tactical officer. Max blinked as he looked at him. Anger started to swell up in him as he lessened to his return order. He wanted to yell at the tactical officer at the top of his lungs but didn’t. He closed his eyes and let out a grunt. “Fine I’m returning…” Once the Hrairoo was picked up the enterprise turned away from the enemy base and started to climb in to the sky leaving the area and heading for outer space. |

"This is...uncomfortable. I realize their defenses should be low but it feels like something's missing here." Kazuar said to himself. "Maybe it's time I came up. By the sound of things I probably hit some of their cannons. I see little other reason for mobile suits to be deployed, aside from simply driving us back that is." Despite his uneasiness, Kazuar pushed the Hazel closer to the shore and readied it to surface. The Hazel's enhanced shield booster was grabbed in the left hand and the long blade rifle had been brought up against the Hazel's right side. As it surfaced, the Hazel made a sharp turn off its path and to the right, leaving its original course where it fired the mega particle cannons. With a sudden burst upwards, the Hazel came up from the water and into the air. Almost immediately after taking to the sky, as some quick targeting came into play, the Hazel fired off its diffuse beam guns and long blade rifle three times each at the remaining guns and defenses below. |

Well, this was bad... As the GOUF flew downwards, Yakumo saw that all of his rounds had gotten rid of that annoying shield finally, but the flying scrapnel and the beads of water flying about everywhere wasn't where the root of the problem lay - it was from the grenade that was fast approaching the upper torso of the GOUF. Cursing, Yakumo turned the GOUF's body so that the shoulder mounted shield would take the impact. Yakumo ground his teeth as the entire suit shook from the explosion. The shield had been bent up in a wierd way; from his experience, the shield could only take one or two more hits like that before it would give way and just be drag metal. On top of that, it seemed as if he was falling even faster than before, almost as if someone had started pulling on the whi- Yakumo grinned. Did that silly pilot really think that the whips could only send a charge upon impact? His finger pulled on the trigger, sending a second shock into the whip which was being grabbed on. There was no way that the Jegan and its pilot would escape that charge unaffected - the idiot had made his job much easier by allowing the conduction of the charge by themselves. Grinning like a mad-man, Yakumo pushed the throttle all the way up and made the GOUF thrust its sword into the water at the blurry shadow of the rapidly sinking Jegan, aimed at where the torso should be while pulling up at the whip which was being held onto. When it shorted, the Jegan's grip would probably remain the same, allowing the whip to pull up at the Jegan, increasing the force of the blow that would be caused from the sword. While it did that, the GOUF retracted the whip which wasn't being held onto. The amount of time that the Jegan would take to recover from having all of its controls and electronic parts shorted out coupled with the time that the human pilot's body would need to recover from such a high-voltage attack would be sufficient to almost ensure a sure-hit. The end was in sight. |

In orbit, the Cezaer de la Morte had been positioning itself in an orbit that would allow a mobile suit HLV drop without being directly over the target. Most of the trajectories had proven fruitless, but one, among many, had become available like a parking spot in the midst of a crowd of cars. The vessel, had been surrounded mostly by the D.I. Jacket Fighters, the black and yellow needle-like fighters slowly gliding around their guardian. While they relied heavily upon the Cezaer de la Morte for support against multiple vessels, they were quite lethal against ships that traveled alone, their numbers and their unmatched agility proving enough to shred apart even the most heavily defended vessels. such a task would come up, as one of the attacking vessels, had been identified. Controllers on the command bridge of the Cezaer de la Morte were quick to spot the vessel on sensors as it began heading to reach escape velocity. In response, the Jacket Fighter squadrons were quickly alerted, and mobilized. The fighters, having been in Delta formation before the signal came, scrambled, moving into sphere formation around the ship as the Neo-UCN vessel came halfway between the start and end of it's planned trip. Once it reached the three quarter point, the fighter squadrons broke formation, scattering into display formation. All units, resort to Evasive tactics, keep your wingmen alive, and draw blood together! The controllers onboard the Cezaer de la Morte had finished calculating the trajectory of the vessel now identified as Enterprise, the weapons selected, and the possible means of countering an offensive assault on the vessel plotted; it was up to the vessel to continue it's escape. Teams Delta Slaughter and Delta Fragment, hit the vessel from the sides, evade the CIWS fire as much as possible. If they're using any conventional weaponry, it shouldn't be any different from the simulators. the fighters broke formation as the vessel came into sight. All of the fighters them reformed into ground of two, and proceeded with activating the booster covers on their engines. The single nozzle thrusters on the back, focused the blast to provide an only forward motion, doubling the already excessive speed of the Jacket fighters, and propelling them towards the enemy vessel. Behind them, the Cezaer de la Morte began maneuvering into a position behind the fighter squadrons. From the bottom, GM III and GOUF mobile suits began unloading, bringing forth weaponry. Among them, a single black suit dropped into view, presenting a different weapon. The forces moved to attack, not providing a warning, but rather the hail of gunfire promised as a result of attacking the allies of the D.I. |

Patience proved to be quite the rewarding investment for Takeshi, as he watched with a smile, his target rising from the water. Pressing down on the trigger, Takeshi's Zerueyun unleashed a line of bullets heading straight for the now risen Hazel. "Go down, you son of a bitch!" Takeshi roared in his cockpit, pressing the trigger with more than enough strength, as if pressing it harder might make the mobile suit's armament fire stronger, more potent bullets. It was one of Takeshi's habits; by trying harder, hopefully his machine would as well. |

Kia had a smirk on his face. He knew the enemy pilot, had been baited into using the electrical charge feature, of the heat rod. Damn it! I might have lost the right arm, but I still have everything else. The Jegan's left hand would fall limp next to the suit, after it had let go of the heat rod. The Jegan’s right shoulder verniers would fire, pushing the suit to the left. The right arm would raise scare crow fashion, while the thrusters accelerated the suit forward. Kia watched on the monitor, while the Gouf's beam sword hit the water. The sword would pass under the left armpit, as the Jegan came out of the water. The arm attempted to wrap around the Gouf's right forearm. This happened as the Jegan's left knee attempted to ram the Gouf in the Abdomen. You should know the heavier suit all ways falls first. Kia would press the trigger for the Vulcan pod; it would fire at the Gouf's stabilizer, on the suits back. The Left thrusters of the Jegan would cut, as the right thrusters fired. The Gouf had all ready done most of the work, charging in at full speed. Now Kia was taking advantage of this, and the heavier weight of the suit. The Jegan was now attempting to slam the Gouf into the water. |

(Jackal, Rhino left with the Enterprise, and since I'm still green on ship combat the Aswan is currently out of the area) Apparently at least one machine hadn't been caught in the sudden attack. Kazuar was met with resistance from the base in the form of a Sulaymaan Zerueyun, an unfamiliar machine to him. The Hazel began to drop as the bullets came in. Kazuar protected the machine as best he would with the enhanced shield booster. While the rounds were larger, the Hazel's Luna titanium was capable of absorbing most of the impact. Armor limited the damage to holes or bevels in the shield booster and at least dents in the unit's actual armor. Kazuar fired the Hazel's long blade rifle three more times down on the Zerueyun mobile suit. The three shots were loosely aimed at the unit's torso, as the time to pick and snipe at certain parts wasn't available. Meters from the ground, the Hazel's leg-mounted thrusters were on, hardly softening the suit's landing on the shore. The unit's movable booster pod moved up and shifted position. The single shield booster on the pod would lean forward, stopping just above and to the side of the Hazel's head. The Hazel moved forward, planning to stop within the damage it made to the coastal guns earlier. Kazuar remained in an area with a light amount of smoke, as the cover was usually a double-edged blade and tricks with it were more and more obvious. The Hazel made no attempt to completely hide itself. This was a blitz after all, as far as Kazuar was concerned. Through the light brown smoke Kazuar could make out the Zerueyun that attacked him. It was another quick attack, but the Hazel fired three more shots at the suit's upper body before shifting to the side, into thicker smoke and fire. "All Empire mobile suits, move onto the base. Beware of any remaining coastline defenses and take them out." Kazuar ordered, constantly moving within the smoke to avoid direct hits. The top of the Hazel's head shone green like its eyes as the area was taken into memory. It wouldn't hide in the smoke for much longer. |

Yakumo grimaced as his attack missed barely. He had no idea why the whip's electrical charge hadn't shocked his opponent and the Jegan's motor abilities to hell yet, but that wasn't the problem at hand. The Jegan had rushed forwards and wrapped its arms around the GOUF's sword-arm. His eyes opened wide after the initial shock, then cursed wildly as he saw the rising knee. He shook around wildly as the knee connected. However, luckily, the cockpit hadn't been breached yet, though the monitors showed quite a bit of damage. Quickly firing his thrusters, the GOUF swerved around with tight turns willy-nilly, trying to get the Jegan off of its arm. This inadvertently sent the Jegan's aim of the vulcan slightly off, causing it to spread its damage around, causing minor damage to the entire backpack part of the flight mechanism of the GOUF. Damn it, the fucker's not getting off my arm and is in a position to potentially cut off my flying! In that case... The GOUF suddenly slowed then pulled its right arm close tightly, attempting to take the Jegan's pilot off guard and trapping the Jegan's arms between its own torso and its sword arm. The GOUF's mono-eye lit up as the left arm pulled up in a motion similar to that of a liver-blow. Yakumo's eyes narrowed as a bead of sweat trickled down his face, mentally going over the plan. In a split second, his fist was lined up. Yakumo pulled the trigger, releasing 1 volley of beams towards the cockpit of the Jegan from the side before his fist could hit. If the Jegan was still hanging onto his arm, then he would then release a second volley at point blank a split-second after the fist slammed into the heated metal. That should be more than enough to permanently disable the Jegan for this particular battle. If instead the Jegan decided to let go, the plan would be to have the GOUF free its sword arm, as it would have enough leverage and space to do so by then, and attempt to kick the Jegan off balance. After that, the GOUF would follow it down with 3 more volleys, one from the left and two from the right before attempting to cut through the waist, so that the Jegan would have no legs, and the un-damaged arm (the arm that wasn't disabled due to shocking). |

Kia was trying to keep his lunch down in his stomach. The monitors were changing the image direction every few seconds, as the Gouf tried to shake the Jegan lose. Oh man I know we were given G training, but this is ridiculous. Kia's hand reached out pressing a button. It was time for him to get off this substitute for, an amusement park ride. The Jegan would let go as the Gouf jerked to a stop. The Jegan was thrown forward, as result. The Gouf's foot just missing inches away from the Jegan. The Thrusters on the Jegan's back would fire, slowing the suit down. The Jegan would land on the flying armor, as it took evasive manuvers. A small screen appeared inside the cockpit showing that the right arm, had been shot completely off the suit now. Just who am I dealing with ? The flying armor making a quick turn, to avoid the shots fired at the left arm. The Jegan had re-armed the Beam saber as the gouf came in to attempt, and slice him in half. The beam saber would parry the Gouf's attack, as The vulcan pod fired at the Gouf's flight stabiliser again. After a short dead lock, the flying armor the Jegan was on accelerated forward. |

Yakumo grunted as he felt the Jegan start accelerating forwards. However, through his grunt, a small smile started forming. A pushing battle, huh? Then a pushing battle this would be. Yakumo pushed the thrusters all the way up in an attempt to gain more "ground", then grunted at the Jegan's head vulcans pummulled his stabilizers once more. The monitors started flashing red - one more hit like that and he was going to be grounded for good. However, Yakumo's eyes narrowed. This feint had to be pulled off if he was to distract the Jegan's pilot from the real plan that would occur almost immediately after, to keep the Jegan occupied. The GOUF's left hand was still free, considering that the beam sword was being wielded by the right hand, and was curled upwards slightly. The angle was perfect for a shot at the now completely exposed right side of the Jegan. The arm was out of sight, as it was blocked by the GOUF's torso. Also, considering the range, letting loose several volleys from the Beam guns mounted on the GOUF's forearms would guarantee at least several critical hits. The GOUF suddenly used the Jegan's beam saber as a pivot and thrusted, sending it slightly below the Jegan and further blocking the left arm of the GOUF from view. However, this was not the only purpose. In order to further conceal the real attack, the GOUF shifted the positioning of the beam sword and pulled it past the guard that the beam saber offered and attempted to saw through the cockpit by angling blade to slice through from the left side. Though the blade itself wouldn't be able to cleave entirely through the Jegan in the short run, it was still possible for the beam to burn through the armor and injure the pilot; the feint was full of killing intent and couldn't be ignored - ignoring it would put the pilot in tremendous, and possibly fatal danger. The only way to move out of the way, due to the angle of the beam sword was backwards - right into the real attack; if the pilot still decided to move to the left, it would only help the GOUF's beam sword in cleaving through the armor. Yakumo grinned. Due to its new position, the GOUF's left arm could easily reach out and deal a point-blank shot to the Jegan's "kidney" areas. While it was thrusting, the GOUF loosed out 2 volleys from it's arm-mounted beam guns, one aimed towards the "liver" area and one more to the direct side of the Jegan's waist. Upon stopping, the GOUF fired off one more volley towards the Jegan's "kidney" area while simultaneously firing the electrical heat whip. Yakumo cursed. He had no idea how the Jegan had managed to sneak away from his last attack with only a missing right arm, but now it was over. He would really acknowledge the skill of his opponent if he could get away from a point-blank pincer attack from both front-left and back-right; he had basically got him completely covered on all sides. His grin widened even more. Even if the Jegan decided to go up, there was no way that it could escape unscathed - from the positioning, it was clear that it would lose a leg at least, which in an Earth MS battle was basically the same as being dead, especially on a MS with no capability to sustain atmospheric flight without a board. Let's see how you deal with this... |

The Gouf's thruster was obviously stronger then the Jegan's. The stale mate was quickly going in the enemy pilots favor. I don't go down that easy. The Jegan's arm retracted towards the right hip. When the Gouf attempted to slash at the suit again, the beam sword would be deflected outwards. The beams fired from the right forearm beam gun firing into the air. The Jegan's thrusters activated accelerating the suit forward. The Gouf was now vunerable even if it was for a few moments. The left hand of the Jegan slashed verticaly upward from the Goufs right arm pit. The Attack was meant to sever the right arm, from the rest of the suits body. The Vulcan pod on the Jegan's head fired again. This time how ever, it was aimed at the mono eye of the Gouf. After the slash the Jegan's right side thrusters fired. This sent the Jegan's right side higher then the left. It all so was going to bring the shin of the right foot, on a collision course with the Gouf's head. Due to the change in the suits position, the beam gun rounds meant for the Jegan's kidney area. These shots barely missed there intended target, as the heat rod shot off finding nothing to strike. |

The Zerueyun simply ducked as the first volley of beam fire crashed with the surroundings. Trees were blown apart, and dirt was flying in the air. It seems that Takeshi had been spotted. Taking a look at the bigger picture, he noticed many of the coastal guns had been knocked out, as well as some of his comrades being discovered in their positions. He watched in horror of the enemy's invasion forces touching the beaches with their giant mobile suits. Without a moment to waste, Takeshi fired his thrusters. With his position now known, he would just be a sitting target. "Displace! Displace!" his Commanding Officer yelled on the intercom, as Takeshi fired off several bursts, clipping a few mobile suits here, and just whizzing by others. He thrusted out of his mobile-suit-sized foxhole and with good timing too. Just as Takeshi had jetted out of his cover, more beam rifle fire had crashed into his original position. It was a new taste for Takeshi... the sample taste of the death that he had eluded. Without a moment to spare, the Zerueyun buried itself deeper into the foliage, to the second line of defense. Before breaking into the next position, Takeshi kept note of his original target. He was outmatched, as his ammunition seemed to have had very little effect on his target. "Useless machine cannon." he muttered, raising the mobile suit's weapon in the direction of the Hazel as it let off another burst fire at the target. Takeshi had to rethink this now; his opponent was somehow immune to his attack. He'd have to find some way to bring the enemy closer, within range of the beam saber. Even then, it was a risk. Takeshi was no expert mobile suit pilot. After firing his burst, Takeshi jumped back into the greenery and began reloading. "There has to be a way to take that guy down..." He was too focused on this single target, proof of his lack of experience on the battlefield. While he was just here, playing one-on-one with the enemy, his comrades around him are being overrun the textbook way. Of course, being the naive person that he was, Takeshi wouldn't notice any of this until it was too late. |

The D.I. forces had mostly been moving around to engage the Enterprise, but the ships had already moved beyond the travel range of the advanced D.I. Jacket Fighter squadrons. As a result, eyes turned back towards the drop point, which was slowly moving up. Mobile suit teams, move to your respective HLV pods immediately or you will not be able to go planetside. The drop zone is approaching rapidly. Many of the GOUF units along with the GM III's, moved silently into the belly hangar of the Cezaer de la morte, the last of the group, the Blackjackal, did not enter. The blast doors spread open like flesh peeled away, closed, sealing the hangar and the compartment within from sight completely. The Cezaer de la Morte ignited the primary thrusters on the back, a bright bluish glow flashing into existance within the jet nozzles. Slowly the ship lurched forward, curving in the direction to begin the rendezvous with the L.Z. dropoff point. As it started to move, the Blackjackal also fired up it's own thrusters, moving close enough to the side hull to grab onto one of the protruding parts. The Cezaer de la Morte pushed forward to the HLV dropoff point, around it small needle-like Jacket fighters moving into sphere formation around the ship. The formation remained until the destination had been reached. Unlike most ships, which remained in an orbit to stay over the specific area, the Cezaer de la Morte positioned itself to release the pods at an angle so that they would fall while the planet rotated below them. The result, would be an inaccurate curved entry, but one that would get it closer without approaching the J.E. vessels that hogged the prime drop point. The belly of the craft opened once more, slowly letting the occasional flash of red signal lights become visible along the blackened steel hull. On the sides, Portside bow and stern maneuvering thrusters fired, bluish flames temporarily igniting and vanishing. The Blackjackal, released it's grip as the ship maneuvered, allowing the twist to effortlessly position the Blackjackal unit beside the belly. Thrusters on the smaller mobile suit fired up, and the unit boosted toward the belly hangar of the ship. Once getting within arms reach of the hangar, an HLV pod dropped, close to the Blackjackal itself. An entry hatch built for mobile suits, remained open. The mobile suit took advantage of the little distance, and grabbed onto the ledge of the HLV pod as it accelerated. Behind it, two more pods also fell towards the planet, moving at a slanted re-entry path. It wasn't long before the Blackjackal vanished within the first HLV pod as it entered the suicide intercept point. |

(No worries Mak. It gave me some much-needed time to get some work done) "I felt those. Maybe I should put in a request for improved armor. The Luna titanium can only hold out for so long. Didn't think they'd make bigger bullets." Kazuar said to himself. "Looks like we're pushing them back, there's probably no reason to be cautious. Then again we didn't expect those cannons by the shore either, and now I'm getting a familiar feeling. I should know who it is...Agh, I can't remember." he mumbled. "Anyway, it feels like this is obviously no trap, considering their condition. That worries me..." From over the Hazel's right shoulder came one of its two mega particle cannons. The weapon opened up to charge, forcing the black smoke away from the Hazel. The Gundam's movable booster shifted upright and the Hazel itself stood with its legs spread to gain footing. Kazuar took aim at the forested area where the enemy forces fell back to, the mega particle cannon faced forward. "Gouf! Continue to push back the enemy forces from the air. Leave that green one." Kazuar ordered Yakumo. With his weapon charged, Kazuar fired the mega particle cannon into the foliage ahead where the defense forces had retreated to. In the back of his head he continued to question the sensation of the Newtype nearby and where it was he encountered the man. |

Click. The magazine loaded into the machine cannon as Takeshi couldn't help but keep his eyes glued to the screen. From his Zerueyun, Takeshi couldn't help but watch the enemy Hazel set the environment ablaze. His ammunition had very little effect on the enemy's armor, the current Republic forces were being pushed back off the beach head, and by now, the enemy forces would have began landing more help onto the base. For the first time today, Takeshi thought of this battle being a losing one. Too long, he has been taught of glory and victory for the Republic, that if he gave his life for the cause, he would die a hero. He fell in love with that mentality... the strong sense of pride and honor... and mainly, glory. He held that idea close to his heart, even now. He stared at the Hazel as he was fascinated by the beautiful yet deadly green beams escaped the Hazel's mega particle beam cannon. It crashed nearby, as several unknown comrades of Takeshi will be just that--unknown. Their lives were incinerated with their mobile suits, with heaps of dirt and scrap flying about. On his side-screen, a bright green light flashed. Good, the machine cannon was fully loaded and ready. Now, things would take a step into chaos. "Somebody take that Hazel do--" another casualty said, as Takeshi watched another distant beam crash into his ally's foxhole. This was looking grim, but somehow Takeshi felt that by taking down this one specific enemy--this Hazel--the tide may just turn in favor of the Republic if he does. Firing another 10-shot burst, the Zerueyun revealed its position within the foilage, as a chain of yellow lines darted straight for the enemy unit again. Takeshi had to get closer somehow; these bullets won't do much. |

Reinforcements were inbound, but it was because of unseen factors, because of unusual methods of approach, that their arrival would be delayed. To help cushion the possibility of not having a secure Landing Zone for the incoming HLV pods, D.I. contractors and armor divisions had been alerted, and drawn partially from a nearby facility that had been offered in exchange for cash. The heavy assault tanks, or what was mainly part of the Five Eighty Third "JawBreakers" had positioned themselves among the now damaged vehicle hangars and coastal defense cannons. Three tanks were clearly visible with an escort of thirty infantry and two GOUF custom mobile suits. The Gouf units, while similar in appearance, mounted beam weaponry in place of their original projectile ammunition, for the sake of keeping up with the beam dominant battlefield. One, raised the shield mounted gatling gun, and fired upon some of the advancing units, beside it, the other doing the same but firing towards a select target, the Hazel. While the pilot within the GOUF custom had been amongst the fienst of mobile suits, he was ill prepared for what response his target would give him. Jawbreakers, deploy your AB pop cans and form a protective field. We don't want those baddies hitting us anytime soon The heavy assault tanks, now spaced apart and positioned beside individual buildings for cover, were masked temporarily as thick clouds of smoke appeared. Cans popped from the side launchers on the vehicles, exploding in the air and releasing a thin mist of Anti-Beam gasses strong enough to take on a couple of beam rounds. From the smoke, cannon shots fired off, flashes clearing the smoke temporarily as the mighty 85mm cannons released a volley towards the Hazel unit. ((The attack is mostly just to help the battle seem more realistic, respond how you see fit.)) |

Steam spewed from the back of the Hazel's mega particle cannon once it had finished firing. The heavy mobile weapon straightened its back and looked out at the trees that now burned a bright red. A number of explosions signaled hits throughout the crowd of mobile suits. "Hmph. I expected as much." Kazuar said to himself. A mega particle cannon wasn't a very common weapon after all, especially not for a mobile suit. It wasn't surprising that it overwhelmed the enemy forces. By this point resistance wasn't expected. It seemed that a number of the Sulymaan mobile suit forces had been taken out from the last attack. Kazuar was caught off guard by the next set of shots. The Hazel staggered back from the impact, thankfully no serious damage was taken. The armor was being worn, however. "Tch. It's not much but this armor won't hold out forever. Where is that flying Gouf?" Kazuar said to himself. The Hazel returned fire with four shots from its long blade rifle before being met by the D.I. forces from behind. The cannon rounds of the tanks met the Hazel's enhanced shield booster, tearing and scorching at its surface. Kazuar made his own attack with the shield's diffuse beam guns, though with the anti-beam defenses, the energy didn't travel far. "What is this?" Kazuar wondered. He'd yet to see such a thing. "The Empire had better start pulling its own weight. What are they doing letting an attack in from behind?" Frustrated, Kazuar opened a line to the Blakkr Ulf's main ship, the Aswan. "Mattus! Be prepared to rendezvous. I'm not going to bother leading these kids if they won't even listen to me. " |

Within the Jewel crusher mobile artillery vehicles, crew and anybody else available, had started reloading the A.B. pop can launchers. The vehicles, were sitll hidden behind thick clouds of smoke, but the protective shield was starting to wear off, the tanks becoming more visible behind the walls and pillars of grey. Five tanks, now positioned to fire, took aim at the Hazel once more. From the vehicles, bright flashes of light lanced towards the enemy as machine guns fires spurts of bullets and tracers towards the mobile suit. The automatic fire was soon accompanied by the bright flashes of the mighty cannons built into the Jewel Crusher tanks. Behind that, the Shriker missile pods also released a volley, two missiles from each tank quickly moving from the launchers and towards the enemy Hazel. Off toward the forest, infantry had started digging in just at the point where the forest grew thicker. Trenches, formed by digging tools mounted on a couple of available Heavy assault tanks and refined by shovels carried by infantry, were slowly filling as the distraction continued. A majority of the D.I. forces were amassing in the trenches, each one possessing a rocket launcher of some form. Jawbreakers, this is Joker Eight; keep firing, we need more time to construct the breaker line. The tanks were holding their positions, laying down more covering fire with machine guns and assault support from the infantry that had been placed around them. Small arms fire continued to be thrown at the Hazel, accompanied by periodic cannon shots. |

"More of them..." Kazuar grunted. "I don't have Zorn so I can't hit them all at once." IT was true the situation was tight, but Kazuar managed to remain calm. He finally made up his mind. "Aswan! Move to the rendezvous point. We're leaving the Empire here to cover our own escape." Kazuar ordered his crew. "Understood." Mattus replied. "Aswan! Straight ahead, full combat speed! Top-side gunners remain alert, underside lay down cover fire for the Hazel. We're going to pick up the commander." As ordered the Aswan crew got to work, and the ship moved forward. Back on the ground, Kazuar had to deal with the tanks now lining up around him. Figuring his beams would be ineffective, he didn't bother to use the diffuse beam guns again. It was an unfortunate set back but he had no time to waste hoping the mysterious field was temporary. The machine gun fire shook the mobile suit but thankfully did little else. The cannon rounds on the other hand managed to break the Hazel's plain, weakened shield in half and force it back. "I guess being cautious won't help me here." Kazuar told himself. The Hazel's second mega particle cannon opened up and began to charge energy in somewhat of a "final shot." He took aim at the group of tanks attacking him, hoping their strange field wouldn't be enough to protect them from the shot. Before he could fire, other rounds had come in at the troops from behind. The Aswan fired as it moved ahead to the pickup point. With a smirk on his face Kazuar changed his firing angle, pointing the large-caliber gun at the base itself, and pulled the trigger. Attacking the base would probably earn him more enemies, in addition to those who thought of his methods at Luna II "cowardly." The cannon had finished discharging its remaining energy, and the Aswan had made it that much closer. Free to move again, Kazuar pushed the Hazel into a full upwards thrust, forcing the suit into the air through sheer brute force. He landed the mobile on the Aswan's top catapult rails, and stepped over to the edge to watch for any pursuing forces. "Alright, we have him. Increase altitude and get us out of here. Set a course for Aargon for now." Mattus ordered. As quickly as it could, the Aswan moved upwards and away, on its way out of the combat zone. |

"An opening!" Takeshi announced aloud in his cockpit as he watched supporting units take on the ever-powerful Hazel. This was his opportunity to deal some critical damage on this enemy mobile suit. Simply dropping the machine cannon, Takeshi thrusted his Zerueyun from the foliage, not caring about how easy of a target he became to the other enemy mobile suits. Nobody won anything without risking anything, Takeshi believed. The machine cannon crashed into the ground; it would probably be inoperable from the drop, but not like it would matter after this. Pressing the pedal down hard, Takeshi thrusted the Zerueyun at a pace that could possibly cripple the wonderful machine. Just from the thrusters alone, the trees and bushes behind the mobile suit's previous position were blown away or torched into black. With beam saber in hand, the Zerueyun darted straight towards the Hazel with full intensity. Stray bullets clipped off bits of armor, punched holes through the Sulaayman mobile suit, but it did not matter. Takeshi's mobile suit had been screaming in pain, as his cockpit was flashing red from all the stray fire making contact with his mobile suit. "GO TO HELL!" the young ensign exclaimed, as he thrusted the beam saber head-on with the enemy mobile suit. To accompany his advance, the Zerueyun's head-mounted smaller-calibur machine cannons would send bullets right at the enemy before his bum-rush with the beam saber. It could be seen as a good or a bad thing. Good, being that the attack would catch the enemy off guard and possibly cause more damage to them before the real onslaught of the beam saber began. Bad, being that Takeshi could be seen as warning the enemy mobile suit of his approach, exposing himself and giving the enemy more time to react. It was one or the other... |
