Taking a look outside of a nearby window of the Minerva, Lawliet had seen the wide view of space which had charged him up for battle; the beaty and mystery had always done so. The enjoyment of space wouldn't last long though; the battle was on the way and Lawliet had to get prepared. Since Lawliet was already suited and had his helmet to his side he had prepared for his call to launch off which came seconds later.

"Lawliet, sir---your suit is ready for launch." Lawliet's personal mech came next to him and told him that he was ready for launch. Being his usual self, Lawliet had replied talking about his sucker on the table; he never left battle without one."Right...Could you be kind and pass me my sucker over there?"

"Hai!" The mech had quickly replied and passed him his sucker which was on the table. "Thanks...I'll be leaving now." Lawliet had now walked off slowly towards the hanger, putting on his helmet. Moments later he had arrived inside of the hanger and was ready for a fight in space. He jumped on the lift-pad which was ten feet away and ignored the mechs approaching him.

"Eh...This again? Don't get killed out there or let the suit blow."
"..."

Still ignoring the mechs, Lawliet had approached the Gundam type suit's cockpit; Freedom LPT. "Time to...destroy. Heh." After a few words to himself, Lawliet had now pressed a button that opened the cockpit in the center of the suit and with that he entered it, having high hopes on defeating the opponent. He awaited for one of the mech's to signal him off. "1..2..3...Shoot em' out!" One of the mech's shouted to one of the men in the control center of the hanger; with that a single button was pressed jetting the Freedom off into space's harsh air. Lawliet had pressed up on the controls and pressed down a petal, activating the main engine on the back of the suit, having it shoot off. Things seemed good...all that was left was---destroying the enemy suit.

The blue silhouette of a lonely Nazca drifted along at a moderate pace, heading in a path that would inevitably lead it to meet the Minerva along the way. It was unavoidable, and the Nazca lacked a company of Mobile Suits of its own. Well, there was one, and the machine stood tall on the top of the warship as its faceless gaze remained fixed ahead and towards the form of the Minerva in the distance. The Z Command wasn't perched up there simply for looks or style; its large body didn't fit through the hangar doors of the ship itself, leaving it and a rather bored pilot sitting out in space. Luckily, in a way, the lack of activity thus far would end.

"Enemy Mobile Weapon approaching, please intercept."

A simple message to be displayed on the screens of the Z Command, but it got to the point. The pilot moved herself into position to control the machine, setting the thrusters to a moderate level for a few moments to send the suit ahead, where it would eventually meet the other that was approaching. There was no particular need to jump into a battle right away, not yet at least.

Seeing the visible suit, Lawliet thought it would be nice to relay a nice message to the suit; he opened an open channel so he could voice out his attack, rather than pulling the trigger on a random leap. "Pilot, I am about so screw your suit over...be prepared. Heh..." Laughing a bit, Lawliet had kept the channel open for any responses as the Freedom had jetted off towards the enemy suit, holding it's beam rifle, preparing to release a few shots.

The enemy suit had looked kind of new to Lawliet; he never seen anything like it, but it was whatever since it only looked big, but not very fast which might give him the advantage. Lawliet had took extra measures even though he seemed to be sure that he could take the suit on; he zoomed in with the monitor on the suit to look closer at the enemy suit. What was this? No fixed armaments, nor any kind of beam sabre; what the hell was this pilot thinking? It must have been something up with the suit's pilot or maybe a lack of weapons? -OR- a possible hidden or over powered device in the suit. Whatever it was Lawliet had seemed prepared and zoomed out, now preparing to launch off into combat.

The assist motors on the Freedom's legs had ignited and pushed it closer, but that was only for a few seconds until Lawliet had pushed straight forward on the controls, having the Freedom to blast off towards the large enemy suit. It was too big to hit it straight forward, so Lawliet had thought of a plan; he knew the best place to hit was the arms for now. Without any arms what could this large suit do anyways? So he had positioned the beam rifle towards it's arms and used the lock-on system to fire a shot from the beam rifle. "Locked on" The computer inside of the suit had notified Lawliet that the targeted spot on the suit was locked on and the monitor blinked green as well; now taking advantage of this, Lawliet had released three shots towards the left arm.

After the Freedom had released it's first row of attacks it was time for the second. Lawliet had pushed forward on the controls of the suit, making the Freedom go full throttle towards the Z Command's torso. The first thing Lawliet thought of before doing this was: 'Slash through the torso and end it quick. The shots towards the arm would hold him off.' , and using the simple knowledge he had moved the Freedom's usable arm, which was the left one, towards the right beam sabre. Soon after the beam sabre was taken out of it's holster it was ignited, shooting out a red beam which was waiting to go through the enemy suit. Now Lawliet had his sabre, what was he to do with it? He positioned it at a 9 o' clock manner to go straight through the suit while keeping it's arms positioned to use the shield. Whether the attack hit or not, Lawliet had fired another shot from the beam rifle towards the torso as well.

"Confident, aren't we."

Openly voicing her opinion towards the other pilot's remark wasn't any form of carefully planned retort, or an attempt to snap back at him. Whether he heard or not made little difference as well. The aggressive suit flew onward and began an attack, and with a twist of the controls the body of the Z Command turned, chest facing the left, and the frontal apogee motors drove the machine back as beam after beam, after beam passed near its torso. A simple maneuver. With the lack of internal weapons systems there was plenty of space for the Z Command's high-output thrusters, and if the enemy pilot thought otherwise, he'd be in for a little surprise soon enough.

The LPT charged in at speed for a close range attack, and as it approached Demichi directed her suit's face back towards the threat. Its knees and elbows bent in anticipation for the close encounter, and the sight of the incoming sabre didn't quite worry the pilot, despite the utter lack of armaments on her suit. Some short distance before the horizontal blade would arrive and expectedly cleave the machine in two, the left arm of the Z Command moved back slowly, and once in range, the open-palmed hand thrust forward and upward, aiming directly for the blade. The beam edge struck the top of the knuckles initially, and as the arm moved up it deflected the weapon with just as much ease as any other beam weapon would. The arm continued to move aside as the body of the Z Command followed the direction of the passing Freedom, giving a kick from its thrusters to shift it slightly behind the enemy machine.

A new beam struck the edge of the armour of the torso underneath the left arm, but was largely ignored as that same arm lurched ahead to attempt and grab hold of the LPT's left leg, Demichi turning the main thrusters of the Z Command to launch it forward as the right arm swung straight in. The heavy punch would easily amount to the same impact force of a bazooka, and that mass was aimed directly at the midsection of the Freedom in an attempt to break it in half, regardless to whether the attempted grab worked or not. All it would do is make the target a stationary one.

"Always confident...And I love your voice tone, ma'am." While dashing off to try and slice through the Z-Commander's torso, Lawliet had replied in his cocky mood and had returned to focus on his target. But sadly he wasn't able to hit him where he wanted to since the damned suit in front of him -had- to brush off his attack with a swat of it's hand; on the bright side Lawliet had prepared for this and activated the shield on it's left arm, creating a good defense against this large suit. He also noticed that the Z-Command had tried moving behind him, which kind of pissed him off. He knew that he had to find a way to counter this and he did; by making the Freedom use it's assist motors and a boost from the apogee motors to do a 180 flip behind.

There were two reasons on how Lawliet knew this would happen; one, the large suit was just so big that a simple beam sabre blow wouldn't phase it as simple as a smaller suit like a ZAKU, that's why he fired another shot to the torso; two, the suit had no other weapons so 'physical' combat was expected. There was just one flaw in this, he was bound to take some damage sooner or later.

It had now seemed as if the Z-Command had tried grabbing the Freedom; what to do? Release a shot from his beam rifle and that he did, frantically, towards a random spot near the core of the suit. With that he pressed down on the full throttle on the controls going in the opposite direction of the suit; he didn't want to get ripped to shreds so quickly, but there was something else coming in, a punch. Lawliet couldn't get the Freedom to move out of the way, but since the Freedom moved it wouldn't take full damage, instead it would hit the shield on the arm causing minor to major damage in the arm area, having it spark off a bit.

Now Lawliet -knew- not to go in close range anymore and he also knew that the suit was a bit too fast for it's tremendous size. 'What to do now?', he thought quickly, and something had hit him in the head; a few shots with the rail cannon should do this pilot some good. And that's exactly what Lawliet had done, he positioned the Gundam straight up as the lock on system had activated, and like always the computer had notified Lawliet that the foe was locked on and targeted and one blast from both cannons had erupted, going towards the foe's cockpit to finish things off, but the suit might try to evade so he thought of another plan...

Knowing the suit would try something tricky, Lawliet had the Freedom burst off 30 meters above with the apogee motors and since he done so he had waited for the lock on system yet again, but this time with a plan. He shot off five beam rifle shots and each with a 2 second interval; two shots were going in the direction of the first arm which was the left; one other shot heading towards the other arm, but slightly off just in case she tried dodging; and the last two towards the head of the suit. He thought this was a good enough plan to damage the enemy suit, just a bit.

The attempted grab apparently failed, and was responded to immediately by another shot from the beam rifle. A random shot resulted as a random attack would, and was somewhat off target (that was assuming the enemy pilot actually had a target). The beam skimmed the torso armour because of this, and the brief contact failed to damage the grimly painted armour of the Z Command. The fist, on the other hand, connected with the beam shield. It hit squarely enough so that the protection on the hand remained intact, and apparently no different results than those brought by the beam sabre. With some focus Demichi continued on without letting a reply distract her, thankfully enough as a set of cannons were soon pointed at her machine's chest. A first response would be stepping down on the pedal controlling the thruster output, and with a good majority of the thrusters pointing down the Z Command went up moments before the cannons fired.

The shells converged soon enough to hit their original target, but came in too low to hit the cockpit. The shots skimmed the bottom of the crotch armour, leaving scratches along the way, and continued to pass between the Z Command's legs. They claimed the lower half of the rear skirt, but that was better than the alternative. Before the machine had time to inspect its groin for damage the other suit flew up over it, but only thirty metres away. With almost half of that distance within arm's reach, this should be interesting. Both large arms moved in front of the Z Command's face in a fashion not unlike a boxer, using the thick forearms to take three spaced hits that were aimed for the left arm and head.

'Got to start actually dodging; this should make it easier.'

Indeed only a second passed as the visor-like face of the Z Command slid up, revealing a dark red mono-eye underneath. Inside the large suit's cockpit the display of the radar and sensors seemingly zoomed in, still keeping track in a smaller sensor radius. A dull hum ensued as a screen displayed the words "N-Jammer Active" in flashing red letters, which would leave the sensors found on both machines somewhat less reliable now. How fortunate for Demichi that she wasn't the one who needed targeting systems. she might have said something clever to the other pilot, had the communication lines not gone dead from interference.

Outside the large suit moved its arms so that they remained covering the front, though crossed over the head and chest of the machine. The thrusters kicked on again covering the short distance between the two rather quickly, and soon both arms swung out. The right arm that was over the face rushed out to backhand the LPT's head with a closed fist, ideally smashing into the right side of the head. The left arm that was over the chest moved with an open hand to swat at the LPT's right hand, knuckles attempting to clash with the elbow of the suit and to knock the beam rifle out of hand. The thrusters still burnt on, with every intention of ramming the ample chest of the Z Command into the chest of the LPT. Of course, once both arms were out to the sides they planned to come back in. The chest-butt was aimed to knock the other machine off balance at first, as the two heavy fists came back to interlock at the spot where the lower back of the LPT would be.

Ah...how the rat reveals it's tricks. It seemed as if the targeting systems were shut off! What was this suit exactly?! It basically just took out what Lawliet had needed to blow it up into pieces, and without it he would have to resort to sabre combat with this large hunk of junk; well there was always close range shots like before but this female pilot was good, especially with the ability to move the suit around faster or as fast as the LPT. This was just -great- for Lawliet, doing what he intended on not doing, but this of course was just running through his head all in a few seconds seeing that the battle was ahead.

Moments later after Lawliet had thought, an incoming blow was headed his way. Cursing to himself, Lawliet knew he wasn't going to be able to take everything that was coming his way and thought it would be best to let the damage to the suit help him in ways of dodging and evading. One way was to take the incoming blow with the Z-Commands fist like a 'man' should, with his shield. "Stupid hunk of crap, I'm about to show you what I could do!!!!" He had wished that the intercom would work so he could release his anger, but sadly the abilities of the Z-Command took it out.

Now, Lawliet had pressed a switch on the suit to make the shield on his right arm generate it's protective energy to take some of the damage with the incoming blow; he knew he would still be hit but not where he was meant to be. The fist had came in and with the LPT's moving right arm, shield activated, going in to block some of it, the Z-Commands fist had steered across the shield and hit the Gundam as planned, but with the shield active it reduced the damage, but suddenly turned off and was knocked over back into it's place. And now another blow had came in right on time for the damned Z-Command to hit the Beam Rifle out of the LPT's hand, and now an attempted chest-but; what kind of creative mind does she have? Luckily, Lawliet had not discarded the beam sabre in his left hand and took advantage of the moment by attempting to lunge the sabre inside of the Z-Commands core.
