Name: Garrod Ran Date Of Birth: March 8th, 0014 Age: 18 Birth Place: San Diego, California, Earth Genetic Type: Coordinator Faction: Earth Union Gender: Male Eye color: Emerald Green Hair color: Dark Green Height: 167 cm Weight: 60 kg Appearance ![]() Personality: Garrod has always been hot-blooded, quick to fight for his pride. In a normal situation he acts arrogantly, making sure everybody knows that he can pilot a mobile suit. To be blunt, Garrod's a brat. Maybe his personality would soften if he were to find a few friends... Biography Garrod Ran grew up surrounded by the Earth Union. His elementary school was filled with the kids of California Base's soldiers, who were always talking about Mobile Suits and the war. Growing up in an environment like this had him hooked on the idea of being a pilot pretty early on. However, Garrod's parents were not grand pilots or warriors--they were scientists. He had nothing to brag about, and was usually getting picked on for having weak parents. The day one of the kids in his class told him he would never be able to be a MS pilot was also the first day Garrod started getting in trouble--he beat the pulp out of that kid. From that point on Garrod developed into something of a lone wolf, going about his own business and dealing with anyone who stood in his way. Eventually the other children figured out to just leave him alone, and he was able to finish his primary education without much more than a nasty word here and there. On Garrod's 18th birthday, his parents presented him with possibly the best gift they could--an entrance exam for the Mobile Suit pilot academy. Garrod passed the exam without much trouble, and was accepted into the training program. Physically speaking, he passed all of the tests. But mentally, the academy noted that he was quick to jump into combat, tossing caution aside in favor of running in guns blazing. While this was not necessarily a desirable trait for a pilot of the Earth Union to have, they let it slide. Besides, they knew one thing which they had not told the boy; his genetic composition, analyzed during a common blood test, turned out to have been altered. The boy was a coordinator--and he didn't seem to realize it. A few months later he graduated and was finally allowed to head off into real combat... though there was always someone waiting to see what he would be capable of out in the field... Role-play sample "Remember, don't go looking for me. I'll be fine. And if I end up needing help, it'll only be to pick me up. That's why I have this, okay?" He showed a small radio device on his suit to the captain of the Blue Base, then turned and walked off of the bridge, not looking out the windows at the snowy ground below. The Captain folded his hands over his lap and frowned, but turned his chair to face the front once more. "Good Luck." Nomake had seen his little injury reopening when he had left Africa, and had had it bandaged accordingly. It felt a little strange, but hopefully that bandage would be all he needed. Walking briskly into the hangar bay, he looked up at his undamaged GM and smiled, climbing aboard the loading elevator and boarding the suit. "Generator, check. Weapon charge, check. Armor integrity, check. All systems, check. Nomake Wan, launching!" The catapult threw his MS from the Pegasus-class cruiser towards the snowy ground below. His own overpowered engines roared to life, rocketing him across the mountains. He had trained here with Zak, a fact that surely Delta did not know. He knew this place... all the better. --- It wasn't long before his sensors locked onto a Dom Tropen, standing alone in the mountain range. And while he would love to do as he often did and make the first surprise strike, he didn't, making sure that Delta knew that his weapons were not armed, and that he would not attack now. He set his MS down in the valley and started the combat systems of his Powered GM as he opened a comm link. "Well, well. Delta, I presume," Nomake said, then with a grin and a bit of common arrogance added, "I didn't make you wait too long, did I?" This would be it. He knew that this battle would be even more intense than the one before... because while Delta no longer had those Newtype weapons, he now had an arsenal of weapons that his Newtype senses would have no problem using. The odds were against him, as always... even though he was now armed with a Beam Gun--his favorite sort of weapon--that still left him with only three weapons. And in this fight, only one would truly be effective. Perhaps they would even survive long enough that it would be down to saber combat. Now that would be interesting... "So... shall we begin?" |
