Name: Jamison "Oriel Override" Simmons
Date Of Birth: 0012 U.A.
Age: 19
Birth Place: AC-69
Genetic Type: Natural
Faction: UCN
Gender: Male
Eye color: Dark Brown
Hair color: Black
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 165 lbs.
Appearance: Fairly tall and slightly muscular. Skin is pale but fair. Has a deep stare, almost foreboding. Often has a slight smirk as if he saw something funny.
Personality: Self absorbed, patronizing, overbearing, commanding, with a sick sense of humor.
Biography: Oriel was born in 0012 U.A. as Jamison Override. Born to a couple charged with the task of overseeing the growth and harvest of the agriculteral supply for the UCN. His mother was well educated in enviromental sciences while his father was one of the lead designers of the farm colony AC-69. He was raised in a wealthy home and given many luxuries that most people didn't have. His childhood was an easy one: home schooling by his mother, job training from his father, and mechanics training from the various workers on the colony. Jamison took to mechanics and machinery very well. He had a natural talent when it came to the design, build, and operation of most heavy machinery. By 16 he began to work part time repairing the farming equipment.

A year later, Jamison was no longer interested in farming but still held his love for machines. He left his home on AC-69 for the busier, industrialized colonies. First he changed his name from Jamison Simmons to Oriel Override, a little known mythological character to avoid any recognition due to his parent's status. He decided to begin work as an mechanic for the UCN, modifying and repairing mobile suits for combat. He worked there for a year when the military began to recruit new pilots. Oriel gladly applied and it turned out that he was fairly good. He was enlisted in the ranks of the UCN as a mobile suit pilot. War was something that never crossed his mind until that day, now he was part of it.
Role-play sample:

To Fight In the Dying Light

The sun was moving to the far side of Earth, leaving the debris of Side 5 shrouded in amber light. The fight had raged on for hours between the Earth Union and the United Colony Nations. The battle began with a fleet of 15 Zaku-II Kais and 5 CGUEs one of them being Oriel. On the other side were a couple of GM Snipers, 10 GM Cannon II’s, and 10 GM Commands. By this time only a few on each side remained. The UCN fleet was down to 3 Zakus and 2 CGUEs. The Earth forces had their Snipers and 4 GM Cannons.

Wreckage floated around, parts from both sides along with the various debris of the area. It kept both sides on edge during the short cease fire. For 2 long minutes there were no beam cannon blasts nor sniper shots. The Zakus took cover behind a large chunk of metal while Oriel and the other CGUE stayed behind a piece of a warship that was covered in wreaths. The vulcan system on his shield was out of ammo and he only had 2 clips left for his assault gun, his sword was idle on his back. The other CGUE no longer had his sword and he had less ammo for his gun. Luckily his shield was in good condition and the vulcan system was still capable of firing. Between the Zakus there was a total of 4 fragment grenades, a single sturm faust, about 4 clips of ammo and 3 unused heat hawks. The Gms were no better off, the beam cannons were bound to be low on charge and the snipers had fired quite a bit.

The standoff continued on for another two minutes. These were the two longest minutes of Oriel’s life, floating silently in the wreckage waiting for the other side to make a move. However, it wasn’t the Earth Forces that made the first move, it was one of Zaku pilots. The mobile suit took off, straight up, and began firing randomly into the distance. Within second two long range beams came flying in and pierced the left arm and torso of the Zaku. The damage was followed by the explosion of the mobile suit.

A single shot from a beam cannon blasted the wall that the Zakus hid behind. Not a second later two more followed. The remaining Zakus scattered and then rejoined the CGUEs behind the busted warship. Ok men, that means that they have a number advantage over us, more than we would like. We need to pinpoint those damn snipers and take them out. They’ve already started using their long range beams, that means they’re out of sniper ammo. If one of us can maneuver around the debris and find ‘em, we may get the upper hand. The commander kept on with orders, but Oriel’s mind wandered off. He thought of his childhood, of his parents, of home. He let go of everything to become part of war, but was it worth it.

I’ll do it! he said abruptly. What, go home? asked the commander. They must have been in mid conversation when Oriel interjected. No sir, go after the snipers. There was no response at first, another brief moment of silence to build tensions. When the commander did answer he gave Oriel a simple Go. Oriel immediately began to move backwards, keeping the ship between him and where they thought the Earth Forces were. Pretty soon Oriel reached the brim of the debris cloud, from here he would maneuver around to the other end as quietly as possible and seek out the snipers.

It was safe to assume the snipers were within the debris to both avoid detection and make sure they can get the best shot. However, it was also safe to assume they were close to the edge so they weren’t found easily. As Oriel moved the CGUE around the large cloud a few shots were fired within. His audio sensors allowed him to hear the gunfire, it was ballistic and ballistic only. He assumed that it was his allies firing to keep attention focused on them. They were counting on him to take out the snipers, if he did they could get closer to the GM Cannons without worry of the beam fire. Cannon shots were easy enough to dodge, but high speed, long range shots were difficult to foresee. It was a couple minutes before Oriel was approximately to the point where the snipers would be. He judged this according to the trajectory of their last shots. Beams were easier to track, especially in space, because they left a trail of heat. He did his best to seek them out.

By now there was no more light from the sun, just the reflection off the moon and the lights on the suits. This was opportune for snipers because they could use the light given by boosts to find their targets. Whether it was good or bad, Oriel saw one of the snipers fire. It seems that one of the 80
80 tried to get a new vantage point and was caught in the leg. Either way, Oriel knew where they were now, all that was left was the takedown. He checked his ammo, the assault rifle was nearly full. His shield was ok, and his sword was also good.

He held the assault rifle in his left hand with the shield. He drew the sword with his right and boosted into the cloud. The first Sniper didn’t realize until it was too late. As the mobile suit turned with its bean rifle in hand Oriel speared the heavy sword directly into the cockpit. There was a burst of flame and the other Sniper drew his beam rifle. As it fired Oriel raised his shield. It wasn’t strong enough to block the shot, but it was enough to help Oriel from taking serious body damage. The beam went through the shoulder armor and nothing more. The Sniper fired two more shots as Oriel rushed in. The CGUE went almost a perfect vertical as the shots pierced the left foot. The CGUE was much more maneuverable than the Sniper so it was an easy dodge. Oriel came straight down on the Sniper, firing the Assault rifle at almost point blank range. As the CGUE passed the inferior Earth Union MS the torso burst and pieces of the pilot flew into the void of space. Oriel stopped the suit and took a deep breath.

This was Oriel’s first kill, his first two actually. He reloaded the assault rifle and idled his sword once more. As he faced the direction of his allies a volley of beam blasts tore the right arm off the CGUE and almost destroyed the right leg. The cockpit flashed red and Oriel’s blacked out…

Sulaymaan Republic: (3)
Status: Invite Only

Invite Only

You do not ask for invites.

Quote:

----------------------
Under the general history and articles of recruitment of the Sulaymaan Republic, only those born in territories of the Republic or existing members of annexed nations armed forces may enlist into the Republic. This condition may only be waived with the permission, signature, and full acknowledgment of the Sulaymaan Republic leader - Alastair Riothamus.
----------------------

The bio, though not without it's flaws, was well enough. However, it is not accepted at this present time. Under agreement with admin staff and moderators, the Sulaymaan Republic is a invite only faction. By this means, only those who have met the unannounced criteria set forth by the factions standing leader and administrator, Alastair, may be accepted.

On the grounds I rarely consider the biography and "roleplay sample" an full exhibit of the skills and qualities sought by the Republic, it is at this time I recommend you seek enlistment in one of the other warring factions.

Perhaps at a future date yourself or others seeking a place among the ranks of the Sulaymaan Republic will receive the long sought after waiver. Until then, hopefuls may only continue down their diverse roads in the hope they will someday exhibit the skills sought after by the Sulaymaan Republic administrator.

4 things:

1) My bad, I didnt see the conditions of the invite, all the criteria and such.

2) If one were to join, and then fill out a profile, how else would one expect an invite but to ask for it at the time the profile is filled out. You are only human so you cannot invite a player prior to them joining.

3) This is also why I said that if an invite was not possible that I choose the UCN, I'll proceed to delete the mention of the invite.

4) Now that I have plenty of time, I think I'll re-do my roleplay sample too.
