Yes, martial arts is a sport. Are there any other martial artists on this forum or what? :D

I'm a green belt in Okanowan Goju Ryu Karate Do. It was founded in Omanowa, Japan, 'Goju Ryu' translates into 'Hard and soft system' and karate means 'empty hand'. No idea what do means, but I'm guessing its 'fighting' XD.

Its a very fulfilling, fun sport, as there's sparring (Fighting, but with rules! :D) and forms in tournaments, and also it helps (A lot lol) with self defence. And in other sports, too. The falls in my karate type are fun, and if you manage to trip or something in a sport you can do a roll and come up looking cool and get called a showoff! (Yes that's happened to me in soccer --- I tripped over the ball XD I'm such a clutz).

Anyone else to any martial arts? I myself am going to take Judo or Juijitsu (Haven't decided which) after I get my black belt in karate.

Sweet! I do Kempo Karate, its pretty much an American/Chinise Karate that is kind of similar to Tae Kwon Do. I just got my Junior brown Advanced II which is right before Senior III and then on to Black Belt. Its mostly beased around self-defence, sparring, weapons (sickle, nunchucks, staff, club, knife, gun, ect), and physical/mental fittness.
I'm hoping to do Akidio or something else once I get my Black Belt also.

I do Rhee Tae Kwon Doe and I'm one off black belt too! But I'm considered as a type of black belt. We have to really actually FIGHT and jump over little kids to break things and stuff.

I talked to the World Master Rhee!!!!!!!! Unfortuately his accent wasn't so Aussie but I think he did mention something about being a "Good Brick" :I
