I'm not going to lie...a god...I don't know if I like the sound of the way the Inheritance book is going to go if it gets that into it. Dangit, they had a good formula...why complicate it? |

i know! but maybe it will just be a small part...probably not though. I just thought of this like 5 minutes ago: if he meets a god, then the entire elven society will be wrong, and they will be forced to change. because remember in eldest, eragon asked oromis what the elves believed in. he said nothing, but if they were given proof, that they would adjust accordingly...that alone would make it huge... |

maybe the god won't be all too important. just in his dreams or something, somebody that gives him advice... but it's easy to screw everything up if he's not careful with what he does with this "god" |

Anyone with me on my whole "The Vault of Souls is the sky" now? I think this backs it up. He shouts his true name into "The Vault of Souls" (as in Heaven), to the sky, and a god answers. It just keeps making more and more sense. |

I think it could be Vanir, simply because Vanir is the name of a group of Gods in Norse mythology. Then again, Eragon's already met Vanir, and he doesn't exactly seem Godly to me. |

And so far Vanir isn't of the jolly sort. |

No, not exactly. That does make sense about the vault of souls. But, mabye by 'god' he dosen't mean what we think he does. Mabye his defination of a god in hte book is diffrent. How? I don't know. Or it could be pretty strait forward, but that dosen't seem quite, right to me. |
