This is one of my favorite chapters. At last we get to completely understand what was going on.

I was devastated at D/D's pain, but I also admired the fact he never tried to make an excuse for his mistakes. It really pained me to see that he died and never made up with his brother. It wasn't until Harry told Aberforth about the scene in the Cave that Aberforth did consider the possibility of Albus's regret, pain and remorse.

I just really like that Harry got to learn the truth from Dumbledore instaed of having to spend the rest of his life wondering with just the information from Aberforth and Rita Skeeter and that other guy (can't remember his name at the moment).

I think there must have been some type of contact with Aberforth. I remember the Pensive scene when Tom Riddle came to ask for the job! When he told Riddle of all the people that had gone with him to Hogsmede, while he went to ask for the job, D/D told him that he was friends with the barman of the Hog's Head.
So that leads me to believe there was some kind of communication between the two at the time!

I dont think D/D would have not been on speaking terms with his brother, he was too loving for that

After listening to the CD's so many times, I came to the conclusion that they actually WERE on speaking terms. After the Trio arrives in Hogsmeade and Aberforth argues with the Death Eaters about his Patronus, he clearly tells Harry that he had bought the other mirror off Mundungus and Albus told him what the mirror did. So he was keeping an eye, LITERALLY, on Harry! Thank Goodness for that!
