well i have finished the last installment of the harry potter series and it was a great book that brought me on a roller coaster ride of a journey i will never forget!

I will not say anything about what happens because i dont want to wreck the story for anyone.

The only thing i can do is use what i have learned in the book to apply to my everyday life for the better!\

J.K.R thanks for a marvelous journey

Change the title and warn about spoilers so we can discuss the book. I'm still reeling from some of the things that happened, but I belive Rowling lied to us. No one used magic late in life, we didn't find Dudley's dementor memories, and some other things she mentioned.

I don't think it was that surprising. One of my friends thought that she might kill off one of the Weasleys because there are so many of them. That one of the twins was killed shows very much the brutality of the war and how Voldemort and the Death Eaters rip families apart, that he destroys what belongs together. Still, it was really sad... :CRY

Also, looking at it now it is pretty understandible that Lupin was killed. He was sort of a relict from the old times. It sort of feels like he followed his friends - James, Sirius and also Pettigrew - and joined them in death. His fate is quite tragic after he got married and had his son.
I wouldn't have Tonks expected to die, though. That was quite a blow, I think. Horrible for Ted isn't it? He sort of shares Harry's fate... And again it shows the brutality of the war and the suffering caused by Voldemort and his followers. :evil

Mad-Eye Moody's death didn't really touch me. Don't you think death during a fight is what everyone kind of expected from the old fighter? And what he probably would have preferred to a different kind of dying?

No, what really got me was Dobbys death. That was so not fair! Stabbed by that aweful woman Bellatrix! She is the most horrible character of the whole series, I really got to hate her. She is just insane and withou any conciens!!!
:evil :angry :evil

And why did Hedwig have to dy? There was no point in that! And no one really seemed to care to much... *hmpf*

not fair? I thought that the most unfair death was Tonks' and Lupin's because it created another orphan. Why not a teacher or i don't know, another minor character like Dean.

I just don't understand why she had to kill them both!!!!! At least Teddy has a grandmother who loves him. Harry had no one!!!!

Yeah, I thought at least Tonks would have survived. Did she write who killed them? I wonder what Harry is like as a godfather... ^^

No I don't think she said who killed them. probably some death eater. But i think Harry probably became a really good godfather. he would be able to tell him all about his father. Well what he knew about him anyway.

Yeah, I bet that is why they chose Harry for the godfather instead of someone else, I mean, they must of belived that Harry woudn't have been killed. They must of also thought that if they died, Harry would be able to Sympathize with Teddy.

Yeah I agree. Harry would be able to understand him and how he feels about not having any parents and how they were killed by evil. I can't believe she killed off Hedwig. I was like "Noooo!!!" and I was all teary eyed.

Hedwig's death almost made me drop the book. I'm sitting in the car reading and I'm like, "Whoa!", and my dad is like, "You just started someone died already?!?!"

LOL. Thats what I said to myself when I was reading. I was like dang first Hedwing and then a couple of pages later Madeye Moody. I was like Oh my goodness. What next!?!? But it was great. Snapes memories!! I knew that he had a thing for Harry's mom I just didn't know how much he likes her.

When Hedwig was killed, I felt my heart stop! I was angry at Harry! I thought; "You idiot, why not let her fly, she would have known how to find you!!!"
But then I understood why JK killed her off. Hedwig would have been a giveaway on where they were at any given time. Besides they apparated and disapparated to so many places... How could have Hedwig cope with all the situations they went through!
