Yes but once Galby dies hopefully order will be restored and everyone will perhaps change their minds about Riders. |

IMNC: How can you say the dwarves have balance when so many have died? And that's only the beginning! See my post below to Scarecrow. Scarecrow: I agree with you, now that there is open war, the dwarves are in as much danger as anyone else. First they were attacked in Farthen Dur and next hundreds of them died in the Balltle of the Burning Plains. So the security and balance, is threatened just now by Galbatorix and the Empre. And once the word gets out that Murtagh is a Rider and killed Hrothgar, things are going to get messy! |

when i have the time, i'll look for a quote from Oromis that describes the link between the races and how the dwarves were not dragged down by the fall. |

I remember it. They did not suffer as the dragons, elves and humans because they were not part of the pact. However, as Eldest stands, that has changed. There has been two battles and their King has been killed. They may not have suffered any losses until then. I also remember Eragon lamenting the death of so many dwarves and people. Enough to to fill up a city, all because of their effort to stop a madman. The quote is after Saphira and Eragon are released from Murtagh's spell and on their way back th their camp. |

I know that IMNC, but the topic includes the dwarves. It reads as follows: Balance, elves - humans - dwarfs |

I would be really disappointed if that's the end of Murtagh. I want him to die in battle evil and power hungry!! (Wow, I know that's harsh coming from me. But I have the standview that he had a choice and mad the wrong one. NO MATTER WHAT THE END WAS TO BE!!! |

I like Orik too, and I liked Hrothgar. He gave Eragon the benefit of the doubt and did not judge him for being a human Rider. :P |

personally I like dwarves. I think that the balance between tham and the rest of the world is important. They were the first people in Alageasia! according to them they 'are tied to Alageaisa. I dont think they will be the ones leaving! |

Well said Hadarac, I like the dwarves too. And they are a load of fearsome warrioirs. Like all living being, some are great, some are good and some are nasty! |

Yeah, dwarfs are cool. And unfortunatley, even if they are not part of the pact, they still live in Alagaesia and therefor have to be part of the re-structuring of Alagaesia after Galbatorix is defeated. Somehow I doubt that the dwarfs will stand aside to let others decide over the fate of Alagaesia. I'm pretty sure, that they will want at least some influence on the riders after what happend the first time the riders were left to the responsiblity of humans and elfes. |
