I assume he probably would have been dragonless like Brom. He would most likely still be evil but probably wouldn't have the position of power and history he is known for to this day.

Shuruiken would be named Shuruiken because Galabatrix never took it. And it would probably remain with its original rider and lived a long happy life because Galabatrix wouldnt have killed the rider or any other rider because he would have been dragonless.

Actually, it was Galbatorix who killed the Rider. If I'm not wrong, I think Galbatorix placed dark spells twisting the dragon into forcing it to serve him.

No problem, I've read it and heard it so many times it's stuck in my head. If I had my book, I would have quoted the page for you! Sorry!. :(

Just imagine how powerful Galby must be, when he can force even dragons into serving him! :o

i don't think that a dragon hatchling could fight against arcane arts learned from a shade.

Did I read incorrectly? Where does it say or implies Galbatorix is a Shade? :o

in the beganning of the book it says (during Broms story of the riders)

"He found a symphethic rider, adn there has insidous words took root. By persistent reasoning and the use of dark secrets learned from a shade , he inflamed the riders aginst thier elders." pg 33 Eragon

See?so hes not a shade but has learned secrets and forbidden magic from a shade
