I don't think this is correct. One is born into royalty, (usually) and someone who marries royalty usually is somehow tied to royalty. Of course there are exceptions, but somehow I do not think Ajihad "came into roylty'.

And IMNC is write, you do not need to be royalty to govern a nation, all you need is brains and lots of money! :D :D :D Though here money doesn't count!
