Is there any merit to the theory that the egg is in the Helgrind, or is it just a ploy for the people who think that Roran will be the next rider??? I'm leaning toward the latter. |

i think it's in helgrind because when arya goes with eragon, saphira, and roran to rescue katrina and defeat the ra'zac, arya will find the 3rd egg and it will hatch for her |

the way I see it, the only reason Arya would go is if she susspects it to be a trap. otherwise, she wouldn't go. |

I see it as possible; there is no way anyone could get into Helgrind if not by air. So I would think it as logical for it to be there. I think the whole thing is just a misguiding thing CP has done to keep us wondering, but hey, who really knows? Just him! |

ah but the razac hate dragons and their riders so they would more then likely destroy the egg rather than protect it |

They do hate dragons and Riders, and Galbatorix is one. I think there is a possibility for the last egg to be in Hellgrind. Since no access is available it would be the perfect place to keep it. But Eragon and company would need to be vigilant as to when Galbatorix sends the Raz'zacs on one of their "errands" in order to rescue both Katrina and the egg. I do have a feeling they may expecting Eragon and Roran to come to the rescue. This is, if Murtagh gives Galbatorix the information that Eragon and Roran are re-united.

i don't think Murtagh even KNOWS who Roran is, so how could he know they're reunited? |

I got the impression he did know once Eragon wanted to defend him before he killed the Twins. To what extent does he know? That I may have streched it a little. After reading the passage again, I noticed Eragon gave no specifics on it. |
