Incomer, don't be angry at CP. That's what makes the story so grest, he mixes fiction with real feelings. Anger and fear can move a person to do things one never thought. I guess you have never been in that position.

Still every soldier who at least once come on swordmanship lessons will be able to kill bad tempered Roran just because he know how to nab his weapon and point it on your enemy. And hammer is very odd weapon. Short, you can't parry with it and you have very good chance to survive hit to chest if you are wearing some decent armor. RORAN SHOULD BE DEAD!!!

i beg to differ on the hammer part, a hammer is a formidable weapon, similar to a mace and can crush through armor

yeah I agree with lady phoenix, when you are powered by anger you become amazingly powerful, your entire body works as one and your cells are super charged, I have done research so its true but after wards you usally have to rest for a long time and your mucles are usally sore

it's called adrenaline. it makes you go on overdrive, but it wares down ur system.

oh, and Roran is using a smith's hammer, not a war hammer. WAR hammers are formidable, like Volund. Roran was just using whatever he could find.

He went by one of the stories he had heard. I wonder if it was Brom who told the story?????
LOL!! It seems Roran's hammer from being a plain smith's hammer was promoted to being his Warhammer!

GO RORAN!!!!!!! CHARGE!!!!!!!

The sword has a different concept than a hammer, they are both formidable. I personally choose sword over anything but thats just me, it fits my fighting style.

This IS off topic! And no, I have not seen a smith's hammer. Only on TV shows.

I cannot understand what you have against Roran! The boy has his merits as do all the other characters!

Thanks Incomer! :D I just remember Orlando Bloom was a smithy in Pirates of the Caribbean I.

As the storyline stands, there is a probability that Roran will rescue the egg IF it's in Helgrind. If it will or won't hatch for him, it remains to be seen. We have to wait! What a drag!

ok. smith hammers suck and that is the end of that discussion. Riders use swords. that is that.

he might, or Eragon might find it when he wakes up.

annie, i like the old avatar better. i just hate that movie too much!
