I, too, think that Brom's sword is more likly to be Eragons. Eragon I. has to offer something different to Eragon, I reckon.

I'm pretty sure the elves will fight! They have to. The Varden are way to outnumberd by Galby to even get near to Uru'baen. The elfs have to get out of their nice and safe forest (which won't be very safe anymore, once Gaby decides to attack them)!

But why would broms sword be "under the roots of the menoa tree" not really under it literally but why would it be found in the family origans?

Why wouldnt it?? I mean almost everything is pointing to it being part of a family. CP wouldnt have put it in for no reason.

Thats true, but she couldn't have had children, and generally on a family tree, the roots are each one's children.

This seems to be an ongoing theory. We have no information whatsoever on Linnea's family. Linnea was not even an elf, and it is implied that she had no children. So if we are to take into account her family history, there is no information to work on.

My mistake I meant to say: Linnea was not even an INMORTAL elf

ok. there you go. but she probably had siblings, cousins, etc. which count as family.

Oh sure, it would count if they were mentioned. but since "We have no information whatsoever on Linnea's family." it is just a speculation with no canon evidence.

yeah, but she did have parents. and most likely had other family members. All discussions on the 3rd book are speculation. It comes down to which are more logical and are more based in fact.

This is one of those theories which pop up out of just random thoughts. It's all down to the publication of the last book. Waiting, waiting, and more waiting.
