i would say it the other way around, he's kinda part-elf, but he's technically still human. |

We cannot deny that his physique has changed. That was part of the Gift of the Dragons. So was the gift of long sight and speed. He gained longevity the moment he bonded to Saphira. But the human side was never eliminated or taken away from him. He is more human than elf. He WANTS to be more elf, because he thinks this would bring him closer to Ayra. But if he found himself a girl that would challenge his intelligence and would not be a 'helpless female' I bet he would go for her AYRA IS TOO OLD! HE LACKS LIFE EXPERIENCE!! He will ALWAYS be in dis-advantage with Ayra. |

For someone who's immortal age can't mean anything. I think it's pointless to take age as main problem. Can't you just admit that she does not love him? Maybe she likes blonde guys with blue eyes (means Eragon from movie)... :P |

lol. well, she might (it explains a lot), she might not, but age is just her excuse to keep him away. |

those Elves aren't born with. they come through training. even elves have to work for flexibility and balance. |

but the movie isnt right.....i'd rather not quote it. Eragon is obsessed with Ayra.... or at least i think so. He just fell for the first elf he saw, because of thier natural beauty. If Eragon had found someone else first then he woudnt have felt the same way. |

There a few reasons for Eragon to have been infatuated with Ayra. 1. She is an elf and he was fascinated by the stories Brom had told him about them. 2. She turned out the be the woman he saw in his dreams. 3. He feels responsible for her life, thus, the first time saving her from Durza and Galbatorix. 4. He then gets into her mind and is fascinated with her strength and the feeling of it. 5. He then saves again from dying of the effect of the poison Come on now. He has not had the chance to meet any other female who can be as worthy or more than Ayra to vie for his affection. |

i agree with that first part totally. especially you using the perfect passive tense. lol. taking latin has it's advantages. 2 the second thing: are you saying that he loves her because noone better has come along? maybe she is everything Eragon would like in a woman. why not love someone who is in your opinion perfect. or is she perfect? probably not, but we are getting the story from the 3rd person limited perspective, limited to what Eragon sees and feels. It's like having rose-colored glasses. everything turns rosy. u get where I am going? |

Then you are agreeing that he has not had the opportunity to meet anyone as 'special' as her. If so, other may have been the story. However, the fact remains the same. He has not had any 'choices' when it has to do with the opposite sex.
