I'MNOTCRAZY, I was exponding on what you said.
I don't think Saphira would say anything to Eragon because the moment has not come up. I think after the battle would have been a good time. It would have offered Eragon the re-assurance he needed then. Why it did not happen, I don't know.

We don't know that Murtagh. If she didn't know, then why did she refuse to meet his eyes at his words. Do you have any explanation to that?

Actually, I do not have the book here. I got my up-stairs neighbor into the series; she already read Eragon and she's reading Eldest. On contrary to me, she's married, she has a 3 yr old, she works part-time and she's pregnant. So it's not that I can rush her to give it back to me.

I would like you to explain what did you mean by this:

Murtagh, as mentioned in the post, I don't have my own book, someone else is reading it. However, I got one on a loan from the bookstore in order to be precise and have evidence backing theories or thoughts. Doing this gives credibility to the theory and its' purpose is to sustain it.
I will, however, cite from the book for your benefit:
"Wise? He shook his head. No, I've just learned how to think. That much, at least, Oromis gave me. Eragon wiped a layer of dirt off the face of a fallen banner boy, making sure he was really dead, then straightened, wincing as his muscles spasmed in protest. You realize, don't you, that Brom must have known about this. Why else would he choose to hide in Carvahall while he waited for you to hatch?... He wanted to keep an eye upon his enemy's son. It unsettled him to think that Brom might have considered him a threat. And he was right too. Look what ended up happening to me!
Saphira ruffled his hair with a gust of her hot breath. Just remember, whatever Brom's reasons, he always tried to protect us from danger. He died saving you from the Raz'zac.
I know.... Do you think he didn't tell me about this because he was afraid I might emulate Morzan, like Murtagh has?
Of course not.
He looked at her, curious. How can you be so certain? She lifted her head high above him and refused to meet his eyes to answer.
Have it your way, then."

Eldest, 656

This passage sustains my theory that Saphira knows a lot more than what CP has allowed the reader to literally know!

Why did she refuse to meet Eragon EYE TO EYE? Why? What is it that she knows and did not say? I feel a migraine coming strong!

There is no way brom could be eregons father, Murtagh told Eregon in the Anient Language that he is Morzans son and his brother

Ahhh, but remember this information came to Murtagh by pure speculation. The Twins found Selena in Eragon's mind, they knew she was Murtagh 's mother and assumed Morazn was also Eragon's father. (Check out page 652 of Eldest) and Galbatorix relays the information to Murtagh who believes it is true, so he's able to say it in the Ancient Language!! Ahahá! That doesn't mean it's true, it means it's true to the Twins (may they burn forever), Galbatorix (I hope he gets a flea infestation and scratches himself to death) and Murtagh, (I can't wish him any more than what he has endured to date).
