Yeah, but him going through thinking that Morzan is his father makes me think that after the battle would have been the perfect time for her to tell him. Why would she want him to suffer through thinking that he is Morzan's son??? |

That's what I said on SF!!! But I'm not sure that Brom would have told Eragon. It wasn't the right time. But the right time for Saphira to tell Eragon if she knew has pased. |

Do you remember reading my post about this in SF? I have a hunch it will be Oromis who will tell Eragon the truth. Once he rescues Katrina, he will return to Ellesmera and before saying:" Hi Oromis, how are you?" he will bring it up with Oromis. I also think no one has told him because in Eragon, page 493 it says: "Come to me, Eragon, for I have answers to all you ask." If we come to think about it, the need for him to ask Oromis who was his father had not risen. So being Oromis who he is, did not volunteer the information. I'm guessing this will be one of the things that may happen early into book 3. |

Something like that. Parents usually are supposed to answer our children's questions, but not tell them what they do not ask. So I think you are correct in what you are saying. Eragon didn't pose the question, (he did not need to at the time) so Oromis never told him. Come to think about it, CP did something similar in the story when Brom asked Angela, "Could she tell him where did Joed live?" Remember the the word play? Well I guess this situation is more or less similar. |

Angela was just being Angela!!! Remember when she said, "I suppose I won't see you for a while, so farewell, best of luck, avoid roasted cabbage, don't eat earwax, and look on the bright side of life!" That's just Angela!!! |

Exactly, which shows that CP loves to use word play in the story. |
