Oh, I differ, I think she tried to use the arts of seduction to get Eragon to talk about whatever she could later use for her benefit, |

Because he didn't want problems with the Council of Elders. Who knows? Maybe he can be a good leader. After all, Nasuada praised his loyalty and dedication. |

see, and then the army would have even better tactics, so in the end, its decided, nasuada should die and jormundur should lead the varden |

I think he's not as smart as Nasuada. He might be skilled in fighting and stuff, but he would never have thought of using lace to finance the Varden. And somehow I doubt that he would be a better ambassedor than Nasuada. He would have killed the Urgal leader, for example. It's not all about fighting! |

Nasuada would not need to step down; he can continue to be first commander. After all it was Nasuada who led the Varden in battle. It was her who accepted the help of the Urgal Tribe, going above and beyond her personal feelings, for the good of the Varden. Jomundar and Eragon allowed their feelings to cloud their judgements while she stood above it. |
