Elvenwarrior may have gotten off topic, but I did not. I was explaining why I didn't care for Norfravell's character. :P

After reading both Elvenwarrioir's posts and mine we were both in the right. Actually, that was because he used a metaphor for Norfravell's actions when the villagers attacked the soldier's camp. I commented on not finding the similarity and he expanded. So we are not OFF TOPIC! Maybe you should read more than a couple a posts before pointing fingers.

Elevenwarrior, some buddy you've got there, kiddo, some buddy! :o

Moving on: I can understand the poor boy going all "Rambo" on the soldier, it must have been some trauma and a he must have wanted some form of revenge, or release to his pain and anger. And I just realized he wasn't Birgit's son but anothe villager's son who was also killed in the seige of Carvahll.

I beg to disagree, Elvenwarrior;
I know we are talking about a fictional event, however, it would really trouble me is a 12-13 yr old child would channel anger, pain, and revenge the way Norfravell did.I can empathize with his feeling but I cannot approve of them.
In the storyline Eragon, went through a similar feeling and wanted revenge, but Brom was able to harness the thirst of "an eye for an eye" in him. Wise Brom! ;)

c'mon, an eye for an eye is the best philosophy, i mean the first civilization had it as its main law, so the soldiers had what was coming to them

I didn't I NOT like him, just that he's not within my favorite characters and because he was not a responsible young man when he decided to begin the gambling route. I consider it VERY dangerous "hobby' for want to call it someway.

you not likeing him went a bit far into the tangent.

and the Mesopatamian civilization died out. eye for an eye didn't work.

I am not going to argue with you! I may have gone " bit far into the tangent." but it's is still a character discussion.
And I still think he reacted out of hurt and revenge, I understand it, but it doesn't mean I approve it. But then, this is just fiction.

I'm just saying, this is solely an Inheritence Character Discussion. if you discontinue discussing Inheritence characters, then it is off topic.

Scott, Norfravell is an Inheritance character. I was discussing Norfravell's character, I was saying and I quote:" And I still think he reacted out of hurt and revenge, I understand it, but it doesn't mean I approve it. But then, this is just fiction."
