I doubt it. Jeod role I think is finished really and I highly doubt he will become anything really, especially a dragonrider. Wouldn't make any sense either plus there isn't enough background or much proof either to make him the new rider.

Then there is also the matter of him knowing the ancient language.... After the Batle of the Burnioing plains he said sometihng to Eragon and Saphira in the ancient language and Eragon was surprised by his knowledge of it.

He was a scholar, and Brom's friend. Why would it be so outstanding that Brom would had taught him the ancient language?

Sorry for the typo, "four finger typing " does that. What is a wild theory? Joed learning the ancient language from Brom or Joed being a Rider?

Spamming?

As the third book is not out yet, I think the possibility of Brom teaching Joed the AL being palusible and not so wild at all. LOL! There are some theories out there so outlandish that would really make anyone mildly intelligent cringe!

1. YOU ARE OFF TOPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. When typing in a hurry, spelling errors are common!

Back on topic: the fact that Joed has knowledge of the Ancient Language does not necessarily mean he would become the next Rider.

If he has knowledge in the AL does that mean he may be able to use magic?

I don' t know, after all, I cannot recall anyone other than Joed knowing the Ancient Language and not being able to perform magic.
