its not vanir vanir sucks y do peple think it will be in insignificant charcter

Vanir is not an insignificant or important character. His character in the story is to convey a message to the reader.
Through his character we learn that not all the elves are happy to have another human as Rider and why. It just shows the both sides of the coin.

LOL!! Too true! That's what Elvenwarrior is hoping for; I really, really, really would be very unhappy   if this turns out to be true.

I just think he's not worthy to be a Rider. Too obnoxious and prejudiced for my liking!

It will have to be someone wise, which mostlikely will be ayra

Well with everyone that has happaned and seeing how the story has unfolded the most likely and obvious choice in this case is arya. She is intelligent and wise, brave and well it's blantently obvious and the best possibility. Plus Christopher has left so man yhints and clues that point towards arya being the next rider. It has to be arya and I just can't wait to see!

Yes he can do that sometimes during the books and there have been many plot twists but just the small things he has hinted at and stuff...it shows and points towards arya. CP never disappoints and I think it will be most liely her. I think he is leading us to find the mssing bread crumbs and whatnot and to put the pieces together to figure out that arya is most likely the next rider. But I definitely see your point...he sometimes does do that and throws us off in the books.

Vanir is an important character, I think. I think he will have a deeper role in the book, but he seems unlikely to be a rider. Saphira didn't choose him, but maybe his last fight with Eragon changed him. In case you guys don't remember, Saphira did not hatch for Eragon until after he heard Brom's "Narrative."

I beg to disagree on this one. I do not see as Vanir as an important character. I view him as a spokesperson for the elves who were not happy to have another human Rider.
Keep in mind at first we were not aware of the reason for his animosity towards Eragon. It was only after "the change" done by the dragons when we find out why he was such a rude, mean, obnoxious, snobbish, baiting jerk!
