As it is, Eragon is going to have one heck of a job with Murtagh, nevermind with Galbatorix!

ya its a lot of the vardens fault to, cuz they need him to fight and get tired, not like Murtagh, who can come in later, so the empire does a way better job in that respect

The Empire had a very powerful strategy; the element of SURPRISE!!! As if that was not enough they used Murtagh when the dwarves had tipped the battle in favor of the Varden. They had to stop him, thus, demoralizing the dwarven warriors and hope they would squash them. BUT they did not count with RORAN!!!! :D

Boy do I suck typing when I'm tired!!!! :o

no but they wouldnt have needed eragon to fight if they did a better job recruiting and had enough men combat them without a rider, cuz then when murtagh came out eragon could have ridden and met him before he killed hrothgar letting the dwarves help entirely exterminate the enemy, instead of leaving the majority of the army intact

dethroning the king, establishing the rightful government, the third egg, the killing of the ra'zac, the love of eragon and arya, and its not to say he couldnt conscript more soldiers

well the varden could manage their funds more wisely, like selling eragon to the empire, ok not really, but i mean part of that is their fault, i mean they could tax their ppl
