To coincide with the attacks in the midwest, and Lee's invasion of Maryland, General Sidney commanding the bulk of forces in the central area, has been ordered to prepare for a possibly invasion of the Confederate sympathetic state of Kentucky. Sidney will begin to skirmish with and prod Federal forces in Kentucky, which borders Tennessee to the north, in order to gain knowledge of their strength and will to defend, as well as attempt to stir civil disorder against Lincoln's marshall law which has been enacted to keep the state under Union control.
