Spanish Expedition to Hawaii

King Juan III has ordered the Spanish naval commander in Havana, Admiral Juan Batista Topete Y Carballo, to take a command out towards the Hawaiian islands in the interest of annexing them in the name of Spain.

The Admiral has taken the following vessels towards the islands :

Conquistador (2nd rate)
Soberano (4th rate)
Cervantes (4th rate)

The following formations have been embarked on commandeered merchants to join the expedition :

Regimiento de Havana (3,000 men)
1st Bn., Regimiento de Cabelleria de Cuba (1,000 men)
