The creature's oath of protection was surprising and Victoria turned her head to him, half smiling. She did not expect such words. Looking back to the gate, she hesitated and the creature spoke again. The confidence and accuracy of the speech grabbed Victoria's attention. Bringing her eyes up to his, Victoria listened intently. Almost dreadfully. The creature had found order to the chaos and Victoria worried what his words would tell.

Unfortunately her woe was well reinforced by the revelation. The story he told was uncannily close to those of the days of the Guardians. When Mayce poisoned every single one save himself. Subconsciously, Victoria brought her free hand to her lower abdomen, very slowly rubbing back and forth. Dropping her gaze back to the gates, Victoria did not know what to tell the creature. She did not want to give him any information that would give false visions. For whatever reason he had them, the fact remained that he had the visions.

"What you have seen follows some history. I can tell you no more. " Victoria felt sorry that she could not inform him of anything. It almost was the sense of lying to him and that Victoria would not do.

"If you see anything else, please tell me. We must hurry to our destination but if you need a moment should the visions occur, stop. We will continue when able." Victoria found herself closer and holding tighter to the creature as she began to walk. The anxiety threatened to stop her feet and force her to flee back to her temple. Still, courage pushed her forward.

The creature listened cautiously to her words. They were chosen carefully from what it could tell. She was eluding some information she had that pertained to the visions. Though a spark of caution was issued from the armor, the creature itself figured that perhaps the knowledge she kept from sharing was of either nor importance or it was simply not the time to discuss such matters.

"Very well, I will inform you if any further incidents occur." its attention moved over the area again as they began to walk. It became aware that she was holding herself against it tighter, as if she derived some form of security from being close. It made no notion of if it realised what she was doing or not. Thinking that bringing attention to it would only cause more problems.

"Perhaps later we will discuss the visions in more detail?" it was a question, though the way it was worded was almost a polite demand. It heard some commotion from back at the city but paid no heed. They were on their way out and its job was simply to keep Victoria safe. The thought of a possibly failure never crossed its thoughts.

Victoria relaxed a bit and smiled when he complied to tell her if his visions came to him again. Her eyes searched the area for any trouble and Victoria wished she had adorned a disguise. It would have in the least settled her nerves a bit more. The creatures display of desire to speak more of the visions at a later time brought forth a slight nod.

"Of course," She replied, also hearing a ruckus coming from the city. Victoria fought the urge to turn her head and look should the creature suggest returning to the city. Whatever was happening would be either stifled or continue with or without her presence. Victora was in no shape to be fighting but she did not mention such to anybody. Besides, her hunger had begun to make itself known and she had to control the urge lest she attack a fellow townsman. She had enough to worry about. The queen could do her job for the time being.

OOC: Sorry it's so late and short. I don't have my own comp...so I get to come to the library when I have free time...which isn't much. LOL

The creature kept its gaze wandering, as likely it would for the duration of this trip. Even though it was aware of its immediate surroundings and the commotion that had been raised back in the city somewhere it's mind still processed things as if being aware was not enough to occupy itself. If this Mayce was as the books had made it seem, then would he not have the answers the creature was seeking. Destroying this person would not aid the creature.

It looked to Victoria for a moment. Contemplating if she would end up deciding this Mayce's life must be ended. Would the creature comply knowing that may result in forever being plagued with the visions, or perhaps losing itself as an entity to whatever was prying at its conciousness? As it came to its decision its eyes took on a light brown, the aqua-marine disapeering slowly. A smile crept across its lips as it decided that it would gladly sacrifice itself for Victoria. The smile slipped from it as that blank expression loomed back, its eyes loosing the new coloring and reverting to old.

Blinking a few times it paused its walk and glanced around. A bit loss as to the wash of feeling that had briefly overcome it. "I...." it started then looked back to her, "...odd." the statement was given with a shake of its head before it continued walking. Expecting the pause and sudden restart of the walk to not be of any real concern.

OOC: Sorry, trying to write an essay, read a book, work, and find time for my rp forums. But atleast I have my own comp :P

Victoria thought as they walked. For a moment Victoria felt as if she would cry. As they walked away from the city, she felt lost. She had to leave Ombra Di Notta. It was more dangerous to be there than anywhere else. Had anyone known what she felt, they'd want her dead. Unfortunately that would leave her the only choice she could think of. They'd end up in Luestrife. Victoria loathed to travel to the city. It was a matter of pride. Bitter memories. She wanted to give the creature the best possible answers he was looking for. Victoria sighed. She felt guilty for having to keep silent. He deserved to know the truth that she had no idea what to do to help him. The truth was that Mayce would know if anyone did. Victoria tucked her hair around her ear. Was the truth really the best answer? She could end up dead. Or worse, something could live. She had some decisions to make and not much time to kill.

Hearing the creature speak while they had stopped for a moment, Victoria glanced up at the creature as he seemed to change his mind about something. The movement in his head reinforcing this assumption.

"What?" Perhaps he would finish what he began to say, maybe not. Either way, she was anxious to be at the port setting sail. She had to go to the sea if not anything else.

OOC: I really liked your post.

Despite her question the creature began walking once more. Its response not immediate, leaving enough time for one to assume it would not answer at all before it finally spoke.

"Not a vision. It felt like one but the thoughts were my own and no images invaded my head," it kept those cold aquamarine eyes set on the path decided, though now it seemed like it was setting the pace even though it had no real idea of where they were headed, "and... acceptance of whats to come, I think." the last was stated with a hint of insecurity.

It glanced to her, then back to the path ahead. It could not let its eyes rest on her, unsure of what thoughts would drift through its head next. It would be best to keep moving. Yet how to avoid a topic that was sure to continue to raise more questions from the priestess?

ooc: Sorry, just woke up but I felt I have waited too long to post. It doesnt really mount up to the last one either.

The creature's silence slightly disappointed Victoria and she let her gaze fall back onto the road ahead of them. At least they were making really good distance and time. Still, it wasn't soon enough for them to board a vessel. As well Victoria would need to adopt a disguise once they reached the docks. It was imperative that no one knew which ship she was traveling on. Looking up to the creature as he spoke Victoria lightly smiled at his replying to her. His words however brought a crease of thought to her forehead. For a moment the consideration of the information paused as she just looked at the creature. Sure she had noticed the correlation of color to the armor, but she never really just saw. They truly were beautiful. Then when he glanced at her Victoria felt her skin tickle. The color's depth could swallow...Victoria brought her mind back to the situation and kept her eyes before them.

"What do you believe is going to be?" Worry took hold of her. Perhaps he was an oracle. Such a talent wasn't unheard of just rare. A memory of the ritual she had held to return Gwenefiere knocked the wind from her breast. Stopping to hold her hand to her chest briefly, she caught her breath. The lack of air was replaced with a deep chill. Shivering, she rubbed her arms and continued to walk. They had a destination and could not turn back now. There would definitely be no city left standing should they remain. Victoria could feel an energy shift. She worried for the temple and all of its knowledge and secrets. She was too far to place any locking charms and hopefully the queen made no foolish decisions. There were things there even she did not know of its potential.

The docks reached its sights just as Victoria broke stride again after asking a question that perplexed the creature somewhat. It looked to her, concern filled its eyes though its face remained placid. Perhaps the only other sign was that it moved to put an arm around her shoulders to support her. Pulling her to lean against it in almost a protective manner.

"I do not feel so seperate from these moments when I am no longer myself. The armor fears them as if they are causing it some great loss." though that was not the whole of it, sharing more at this moment was perhaps not the correct choice. Too much was going on, back in the great city and here at this moment. As if to emphasize on the later thought the creature spoke quickly, "Should we not make haste? This task seemed dire when we first left."

As the creature put his arm around her, Victoria sighed into him. She didn't bother to worry why he had brought her close only accepted that he had. Victoria's body began to warm again. Listening to his words, she pondered on them. It was definite that the armor and the creature were two entities. Two consciousnesses. She had assumed it was before but the way the creature made the statement was very confirming. So if the creature could not remember some visions, perhaps the armor was a direct influence of that loss. Even inhibiting the visions and answers. His suggestion broke her thought pattern.

"Yes, we must hurry," Victoria again denied herself the desire to look back onto the city. As soon as the creature began walking, she was prepared to do so as well. The port was very close and they did not have the time to waste. Still, her mind could not help but wander back to her fore thoughts about the creature and the armor. If only she could get him out of that armor. Technically he had taken it off at one point so wouldn't he be able to do so again? When they got to the piers, she would suggest donning a disguise and packing away the armor on whatever vessel they took. Perhaps getting him away from the influence of the armor would give them more information. Something to go by to keep them from needing Mayce. Victoria did not want to even consider the dark wizard necessary but if she could not help and he could... Victoria pressed up closer to the creature and her hand again to her abdomen. She still had time to think.

The creature's hold on Victoria did not faulter as it began to walk. It kept a slow pace for her sake, as she did not seem in the best of walking conditions. This time it would not stop unless absolutely necessary. It did keep note of how close the priestess was paying attention to it. It was clear she was pondering something.

It glanced at the hand which rested on her abdomen. A bit curious as it had yet to see someone walk with a hand on their stomach. It was going to ask why she had decided to do such, perhaps an injury or she was ill, but decided against it as further conversation may cause continued delay in their progress. So instead it kept its mouth shut, keeping the questions to itself as it walked.
