Forgotten: No one can escape. A great flash emerged above all of Aronia leaving each with short term memory loss. Years lost to the fog of amnesia. Can no one recall? That appears to be the case. Whom or what is responsible? Panic has stricken the globe. Will civilization collapse? What will emerge from the reset? Only time will tell. To each citizen of Aronia from the Global Gazette, we wish all luck.

Freya woke little while later, slightly confused. Where was she at? How did she get there? Why was she there? She sat up suddenly, remembering the hologram video. She looked around the room and swung her legs over the side of the bed and noticed the little bird. It didnt look like it was in good shape.

She kneeled on the floor and used her own wings to slice her hand open, then began to let the blood pour into the birds open body. Her hand sealed, and so did her glove. She watched closely and made sure the birds inside repaired them selves correctly, then took the now chirping bird and peeked out the door to the room. It was a funny sounding chirp, but a chirp none-the-less.

She left the room, looking about but still tried to remain on guard. A smell then floated to her nose and she followed it into the kitchen. She stood in the doorway, watching Asher cook...or at least attempt to. It didnt look like he was fairing to well, either. She walked over to him and looked around him to see what he was cooking, then casually pushed him away taking over. "Your going to burn it..." She said quietly.

The bird left her shoulder and managed to make its way to Asher where it rested with a long slow chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip as though it was tuckered out just from that short wobbly flight.

When she finished, she turned the fire off and looked around, "Do you have plates?"

He looked up a little bit when she came in, and he smiled slightly, embarassed.

"Ah... yeah..."

He stepped back out of the way, and shook his head a little.

"Yeah... unfortunately my genius seems to end when the things stop involving machinery and electronics... I used to be able to cook, but... hell."

He just blushed and stepped away to check on the rice - he could at least make that... now what was he supposed to do...?

"Are you alright, F... I guess I should ask what you'd rather be called, hm...? This is my home if you hadn't noticed... I figured at least that guy wouldn't know where I live. I'm sorry, if that means anything... I just couldnt leave you there knowing something would happen, I... hell I'm not evern sure what to tell you. Oh, hey lil guy..."

He smiled slightly and reached up to the little thing, petting it a little bit before he turned off the heat on the rice and looked back over towards the girl. She really was pretty... but now she just looked broken, in her eyes...

"I'm not going to leave you alone, if that helps... you can stay here as long as you want. As you can see my cooking might kill me if you don't."

A slight grin at that last

Misery dished out the food as Asher spoke, but did not respond, only remained silent. She looked back and spotted a table and set the food on it and sat down. She stared at her plate for a little while, and then began eating. She didnt eat very much though and most of the food on her plate went to waste.

Misery was lost and now felt as though she didnt have a home. "I guess I will have to." She said finally, "I have no where else to go."

She rested her chin in the palm of her hand and looked around at the kitchen, with her fork held loosely in her other hand. The place was pretty messy and there were piles of parts sitting out in different places. He even had odd looking things sitting around and she began to wonder what they did. "You dont spend much time cleaning, do you?"

The answer was obvious, so she didnt expect him to reply. She suddenly looked back at him, "Why do you always where those mirrored sunglasses?"

"I'm not that bad a roomate..."

He laughed just a little, but only briefly - the joke wasn't very good and she probably wasn't in the mood... He ate rather more than she did, but he was usually hungry, he sometimes joked it was because of his brain, but really he just was hungry often... when she commented about his cleaning, though...

"No... I finish things bits at a time sometimes, so I usually leave them out so I don't forget, you know?"

He watched her walk around a little bit. Would be a while before she really trusted him, he supposed... but then again if she trusted anyone right away, he would be worried, to be honest... when she asked about his sunglasses, though, he took them out of his pocket and put them on the table - he hadnt been wearing them since the apartment...

"Those? So people can't see my eyes. Everyone always says you can tell a lot about a person by their eyes. People always used to say mine looked smart, so it didn't bother me... then I started having... visions. Of the future, of the past... of half a second in the future, that's how I was able to dodge that man..."

He winced a little and rubbed at his shoulder - he'd bandaged it, but thinking about it made it hurt like hell again.

"Well, the first time anyways... but my eyes glow sometimes when it happens, and... people get scared. Thats why I keep those on... I never really know when I might have one..."

Misery was suddenly inches from his face looking into his eyes, trying to see if she could tell what sort of person he was. All she saw was clear shining green orbs. It was a shame he covered them up at all. But whoever said that his eyes looked smart, they were right.

Her attention was diverted to his shoulder when he winced and rubbed it. "Whats wrong with your shoulder?"

She thought for a moment about her own pain and noticed it had faded tremendously. That was odd...she didnt even use the soothing creme....

She backed away from Asher and absentmindedly began to mess with one of his inventions. Some of these things were just so intriguing. She touched something on one of them and something made a ‘boing’ noise and the thing began to fall apart. Her eyes went wide and she tried to catch most of the springing parts, but she only made it worse.

Maybe he didn’t see that…. She thought to herself, Who am I kidding, he is sitting tight there…. Uhh…maybe if I just fix it real quick!

He blinked a little bit, looking back into her eyes for a few moments as she stared at his, then he looked down at his shoulder and started to shrug, but that hurt, so he quit right away and put a hand to it instead.

"Got cut, is all... that guy showed up after you passed out. Got away clean though, dont worry..."

He didn't mention the whole "well I blasted the guy with a weapon that should have atomized a TANK, but he just got knocked through into the next apartment, so I ran like hell" part... instead he went back to cleaning things up, and when she was toying around with some of the things he had lying around, he was walking back out into the room, carrying a plate and drying it off. He saw the thing fall apart, and he just laughed a little.

"Don't worry, that was broke anyways... was supposed to measure energy currents or some such crap, I think I built it when I was like five... anyways it fell off a shelf the other week and I just kind of stuck it back together, so... it was kind of asking to get shattered by the next person to touch it..."

He knelt down and started picking up some of the scattered pieces, before he looked back up to her and tilted his head a little.

"I saw you fix that bike the other day, and those toys... you're good with machines, huh?"

Misery dumped the arm full of parts onto the counter and stopped a few from rolling away. "Ah..." She said a bit nervously, still kind of worried over breaking something that didnt belong to her. "Yea...."

She blushed slightly as another spring sprung from the broken energy current reader. She usually fixed machines, not broke them. Well, there is a first time for everything....

"Machines are simple things." Misery stated, looking at a part in her hand. "They are easy to fix." Without thinking much about it, she constructed a much more advanced version of the 'invention' she had just 'broken' out of the parts that came out of it. It took about five minutes total. When she was finished, she looked at it then began to disassemble it just as quickly. "Simple..." She repeated.

The parts she had used were placed in a neat order among the mess. It was a habit she picked up living with Lahziel. He liked everything orderly.

She stared at the neat pile, seeming to drift off into her own world. She moved her hand slowly then and gently flicked one of the parts to knock it over. She began to wonder what kind of person she was before. Did she like the same foods as she did now? Was her personality the same?

Misery couldnt help but think Freya and Misery were two different people. Misery lived, while Freya died about three weeks ago or whenever her truth ended and her lie began.

He laughed just a little bit, then he watched her put it back together, lifting an eyebrow slightly.

"Huh. Now I feel like I was a dumb five year old... you even switched around the inducer, nice one."

He watched her take it back apart just as quickly, and he shook his head as she dissembled it, and he leaned a little against the shelf, before he walked over to the kitchen again, putting the last plate away, before he walked back out, looking in mild shock at the neatly ordered parts.

"Scary... something organised..."

Laughing again, he walked over to her, and knelt down beside her, looking over into her eyes, then he looked back to the parts. Finally he looked back to her, serious again, and he pointed back to the bedroom

"This is your home now too, alright? So dont worry about messing with anything, if it's important or I'm worried about it being broken, I don't leave it around. The bedroom is yours, alright? I'll sleep out here on the couch, it's surprisingly comfortable, y'know? And later I'll show you where I keep the expensive and fancier gadgets, and we'll think more about what to do, hm?"

He put his hand on her shoulder for a moment, then he smiled and stood back up to walk over and flop down on the couch. He at least was tired, though he pulled one of Gerard's books out and opened it... from what he had glanced over the guy was crazy smart...

Misery lookup at the wall, then turned her head towards Asher when he spoke, snapping out of her thoughts. She looked towards the bedroom when he pointed that way, then looked at the couch. She felt a little bad taking his bedroom, but then again he is the one who 'flipped the switch' and started this.

She watched him sit on the couch and pick up one of Smyd's books and decided to sit herself at the kitchen table. She had called the bird over and was attempting to repair it as much as she could. When she finished, it was sounding better and flying better, but it was up to the bird itself to heal the rest of the way.

A thought struck her then and she blushed slightly. The bird flew off the table and found Asher again and started singing in his ear. Misery appeared next to the couch and laced her fingers together, "Um...since I will be staying here for awhile, I will need clothes. I left all of mine at...." Misery was unsure of whether to call her old residence 'home' or not. "...my house...."

Maybe she should get herself a job, to earn the money she needed to provide for herself. But, that may not be a good idea since hewould probably be looking for her. Still, she had never had a job before, other than to take care of Gerald as Freya, and just to do house chose as Misery.

"If you loan me the money for clothes, I will pay you back as soon as I earn it back...." Misery added.

"Clothes...? Oh, right... should have thought of that... yeah, in the morning I'll take you out to get some, how's that sound? Unless you want to go alone, which I suppose is alright too, I'd just worry..."

He rolled himself up into a sitting position, and he set the book aside, then pulled his wallet out and pulled a couple hundred dollar bills out, which he handed to her.

"There, and don't worry about paying me back... It's my fault you need everything new, after all... and I don't want you to worry about anything. I make more money than I need anyways... look at all the things I end up doing, rebuilding cars and all of that. Really, the less money I have, the better off I probably am."

He took a breath, then he went put his wallet back in his pocket and slid up a little into a sitting position before he started reading again.

"Just let me know if you need anything else, okay...? I'll back you up."
