To each citizen of Aronia from the Global Gazette, we wish all luck.

Once it had finished its task it glanced up to see her handling the rest. Though she was far from done, he stood up and peered over her work to notice her writing was different, more elegant and flowing than the hand that had written the book previously. He noted that it was probably an old man who wrote the book not only because of the writing but because it was so large only an old creature would have so much to write about if experience did lead to knowledge.

It listened carefully to her words. Now realising the potential power that was in this room. Though it was mere recognition of its existence. The creature had no personal want for such power, it had no need for it. Once it saw her organizing the scrambled halves it began to help. It was easier for it to glimpse over the torn half to logically find its second. Oblvious to the few numberings on it.

"So if one were to read every book here the one would become formidable?" it asked with a detached interest in the subject, "As to say, if this one were to comprehend and remember what it read it would?" it handed her the finished stack of papers it had put into order as it finished its question.

Victoria could feel the creature watching her work as she wrote, but it didn't bother her. Realizing that the way the book would end up was that what the creature had begun writing was the beginning and she was writing the end in the beginning of the second book. So whoever read the book she wrote would have to read the pages backward. Also, when the books were together on the shelf, whoever was reading them would have to know that. Being such, it would help prevent unwanted eyes reading the script. Victoria was sure he would finish the tome before her, which would prevent a stop in the flow of reading.

Finding the two pages she was searching for, Victoria began to write again, glancing beside to notice the creature look through the pages, ordering them. As the creature spoke, she continued to write and thought about what he had said. Turning to answer, Victoria's eyes widened a bit in surprise. She did not expect to see the pages back together so quickly.

"Yeah," She stammered a bit, "Comprehension is key, considering most of these books are written in various languages," Looking at the creature for a moment, Victoria returned to her writing.

"But even with all of the information in this library, there is so much more to know through your own experiance. Age brings wisdom," She was full of cliches lately, but it was the best way to get a concept across to someone. Straight forward words would work best in this particular situation.

It watched her work after it was done organizing the paper. Listening to her words as well. This new information made it think, "So the older the creature the more powerful it is, so I am weak?"

It shifted a bit where it stood as it thought, "That is not so, I was overpowering you and the demon woman before that metal man interrupted. I do not believe him to be stronger than myself either...so I must be very old then." it stated its conclusion to her and tilted its head to the side as if it knew there was something wrong with what it said.

"Yet my memory is of no more than just before my capture." it finally looked up to her again, and stared in thought. Its thoughts running through everything it had done, everything the things around it had done. Yet it simply stared intently at her as it thought.

Victoria listened to him, still writing and a bit preturbed that he had stopped. Holding the pen still, Victoria locked his gaze.

"You copy the top of the stack and I will copy the bottom, so we will meet in the middle," Victoria returned to work, thinking for a moment. He had a point and she could understand his rationale. She needed to be more specific it seemed.

"Everyone comes into being with various abilities. Sometimes they are stronger and sometimes weaker. You are lucky to have been created so strong, but you still have so much to learn. Just because someone is old, does not mean they are strong and just because someone is young does not mean they are weak. It is simply very common for older beings to have more knowledge and practice with the talents they were created with," Victoria placed the torn papers on top of the other she had already copied and carefully reached under the stack for the next two. Pausing for a moment for the drying ink, she set the pen down and stretched her fingers.

"And the only reason why you were winning is because I didn't have my weapons," Victoria looked to the creature out of the corner of her eye. A small smirk appeared on her lips. This one had an ego already and he was just fresh out of the oven.

It blinked and went back to work when told to. Following her instructions to a key though he still listened. This notion confused it further, though with the confusion came a steady understanding of what she meant.

"I am not sure weapons would have been much aid, then again I am young so I am likely wrong in my assumption." it blinked again and looked to her, "Knowledge gives one the ability to accurately pridict an outcome with known possibilities." it then moved its attention back to the book.

"So to say experience and natural born prowess are the two primary factors. Yes?" it asked to make sure it understood what she was saying, though its own recognition of it came through its statement. It continued copying the work though now it was mimicing her style of writing on one page, then mimicing the handwriting from the original, "So, your experience would give you the upper hand in combat or most any other situations?"

The severity of the ruined book lessened as they worked onward. The problem would be fixed soon enough for Victoria to rest easily. She was a bit obsessive about the library. The comment about her weapons being futile was amusing. Victoria bit on her bottom lip a bit to attempt to hide a grin. She waited for him to make his point to reply and began to write again.

"Exactly, knowing your outcomes helps you to be ready for them rather than being caught off guard," Either he understood better by the minute, or Victoria was wording her sentences better, "I was just joking about the weapons, you would have inflicted some serious damage. You weren't wrong." His next questions required another moment to reflect. During that, Victoria had glanced at the creature's writing, a bit puzzled to his style choices and continued on the page she was working.

"Again, yes, you are correct, they are two major factors for sure," His comment about her own experiance quieted her for a moment, "I would like to think so, but I still have much to learn. This temple has been my home for many millenia and I have not seen much outside this city. That in itself detracts from my worldly experiance." Victoria hated to speak of any weaknesses or faults she had, but there seemed to be no harm at the moment. So what if she hadn't seen much of the world? She could still hold her own.

Its selected method for writing was causing it to take longer to complete this task. It worked quietly along beside her still, its eyes glued to its work. As she finished it began its response but this time kept up with its work as well, deciding it was best to complete the task as quickly as possible.

"So why do you not leave to explore the world?" it asked for the fact that she sounded as if she wished to travel. It saw nothing that was keeping her from doing such, she was not shackled or in a prison, not even locked in a room.

"I see no reason for you to stay." It stated as if to give reason to why it asked the question. It paused work momentarily to glance at her work then continue again, slowing its pace so they would finish at the same time rather than finishing before her.

Victoria shrugged slightly, it wasn't like the thought had never crossed her mind before. In fact, she yearned for the excitement. Just different scenery. Victoria loved the temple, the city and being so involved, but it still felt like a prison.

"Sometimes responsibility is a stronger than the most fortified prison," She sighed and dipped her pen in the ink and continued writing.

"For a long time now, the queen has been absent. Someone had to remain here to look after things. That someone happened to be me," Victoria thought back to when she had just started her priesthood.

"When I first accepted my duty and was changed, I did not realize how long forever was..." Victoria was never so open about her thoughts and feelings of the matter, but she just spoke. Even though the creature probably did not understand her, that was what gave her the comfort to speak. What she said would most likely not go beyond the library.

"My home land is actually Luestrife," Victoria looked to the creature, she assumed he didn't know where that was, " It is another continent, a whole other land. Where I was from, it was almost tropical. Lots of fruit trees. That's why we were nomadic, food was everywhere so why not travel?" Victoria smiled to herself, reminiscing. She could feel the sharp sting of tears threatening and Victoria cleared her throat.

"But that was another time, another life," She quickly finished the last of the page and set the pen down again. Another moment for the ink to dry.

It listened curiously to her words. For once it understood what she meant, though only in part. It let the page dry and continued onto the next as it listened, though its eyes still on the work infront of it.

"Responsibility, doing what you are meant to do and being kept to it. That I understand." there was no emotion in its words, though sympathetic with her as much as it could be. It did not see its duty as a hindrance, it was as necessary as breathing is for humans, or atleast in its mind it was similar.

"The queen is back. This means you could go and travel, yes?" it asked because of the statement that Victoria was ruling over in the queens absence but now the queen was back and there was no logic in staying if the reason she stayed was no longer there.

"Or perhaps you.....feel as responsible for this place as you do her?" it asked, trying to find some logical reason for her to stay, even if it didn't understand the reason it knew there was one.

Victoria took the next section and began writing as he spoke. The busy of her hands keeping her mind focused. His first statement caught her off guard. The last thing she expected was a reply in which he simply understood. Granted it was not in his way of speaking, but the words he used clearly indicated such. Atleast it wasn't like talking to a brick wall.

"That's where I'm conflicted," Victoria didn't know if this creature had any sense of free will. The way he acted, he had none. However, it logical based on the information they had of him, how he came to be.

"Everthing you've stated is what I think of," Victoria sighed, concentrating on what she was writing as well, "Everything I know is here too. To go alone is just simply intimidating," Victoria remembered the offer by the messenger. Perhaps that had something to do with why she was so eager to accept.

"I have as much descision in the kingdom as the Queen does," Victoria looked to the creature and shrugged again, her words just not being enough sometimes, "I would feel responsible should I not be here to protect it." She wondered if the creature could emapthize with that area. Some things were simply instinct.
