Forgotten: No one can escape. A great flash emerged above all of Aronia leaving each with short term memory loss. Years lost to the fog of amnesia. Can no one recall? That appears to be the case. Whom or what is responsible? Panic has stricken the globe. Will civilization collapse? What will emerge from the reset? Only time will tell. To each citizen of Aronia from the Global Gazette, we wish all luck.
Welcome to Aronia. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Nicholette applied a little more pressure to the wolf beneath her, but they still did not return her sword.

"I guess I will have to do this the hard way..." Nicholette was interrupted with the touch of metal to her neck. She immediately froze. Stupidity wasn't something Nicholette was familiar with and it was not the time to get aquainted. This was also one of the few times to hold her tounge. The woman did not mean to kill her, for now it seemed. On the contrary she had bid her presence. When the blade was removed from her neck, Nicholette carefully let the beast free and backed up to have everyone in her sights.

"Give me back my sword and I will not have to resort to such extremes," Nicholette motioned to the woman's sword, "I am sure you understand my sentiments." She reached into a pocket and retrieved a cigarette. Only had a few left, soon she would need to get in touch with a trader who made trips to the Jade Isle. Nicholette was Trader Joe's best customer.

"Got a light?" She asked, no one in particular, just whoever had one while she waited on her sword.

Victoria considered Gwen's response and decided to just let it rest for now. They had responsibility to the city and that was first. As for her statement about the creature, Victoria understood what she where she was coming from and an outside perspective brought things closer to the truth. She nodded in comprehension and read the paper the queen had given her. Victoria had heard rumors about the city and casino. Mostly tales of sex, drugs and violence. Sounded like an interesting place. Quite different from Ombra Di Notta, although their city held its share of destruction. The man had guts too, the way he sauntered in. Taking her hand was a surprise and she pulled back a little, but let him continue as his lips met it. She blushed a bit, it had been a while since she was greeted with such respect.

"Yeah," Victoria was tounge tied, "Call me Victoria," The blush still in her cheeks. When he aknowledged the creature, Victoria tensed and turned to look at him briefly and back to the man.

"Don't worry about him, he's harmless really," She smiled as she spoke. After the man spoke of the casino and what their complance would entail, Victoria shrugged. It sounded like a good deal to her. They would help out families in need while they got to visit a foreign land. What was the worst that could happen? They would go, have a good time, tell people how great Ombra Di Notta was and come back refreshed. Sabre, Shale and Alain were investigating the wolf incident. Too much attention would cause whoever was behind it to have a heads up. Victoria glanced at the creature again. She wondered if he would even be interested, it would be simply for pleasure not finding out any information.

"Sounds interesting to me. It could be good foreign relations for Endymion."

OOC: sorry its so short, I 've got a fever today :(

OOC: Short? Its twice as long as most of mine.

IC:
It watched the man carefully. It's eyes narrowing, it did not trust this one at all. Though it made no other threatening gestures and soon its hostility was gone, almost as quick as it surfaced. It watched the passing conversation and the mans actions with interest. Perhaps it was typical to kiss a woman's hand when meeting her the first time. It did need to learn the customs of the creatures it would be around if it were to exist.

The foreign place mentioned interested it not but it would go if Victoria went and it sounded like she had already accepted the invitation. It shifted where it stood when it was called harmless. A bit curious as to why the priestess would lie to the man. Or perhaps it was because he was under control now that she would say that, a controlled beast is less harmful than one without a leash, that much was true. That blank expression remained on its face now as it listened, keeping quiet, slowly its eyes drifted back to the queen, then to her guest again. Suspecting they would say who all was going now to declare their intents of visiting this foreign place.

OOC: Why did the two threads get merged? I came back here to post so that that wouldn't happen, that way Gwen, Vic and Akuma's thread inside the temple was separate from what was going on outside the temple or whereever this thread goes. LoL.

IC:

Sabre watched the woman free the wolf guard and smiled. "Well now, is that all this little commotion is about? A sword?" Sending the wolf who held Nicholette's sword a look, she nodded and the creature returned her weapon. "Yes, I understand how it must feel to not be in the presence of your weapon, especially if it has special qualities," Sabre chuckled.

Twitching her head to the side, she bade the guards return to their patrol. Now was not the time to be slacking. If the woman tried anything now, Sabre still had Althea pointed at her, not necessarily in a threatening way, however, as she was resting her hand and the sword's handle on her hip. Norban hovered behind her, easily standing a foot an a half taller. If both Sabre and Norban couldn't take this girl out, with the help of Althea and Virote, of course, then General Shale was still behind her. Sabre felt quite safe with the General at her back.

Sabre's lip twitched up briefly in disgust. She couldn't stand cigarettes, even if they were the good tasting or smelling kind. A light chuckle escaped Sabre's lips as Althea sent a tiny bolt of lightning, more like a spark, at the tip of the woman's cigarette. It lit immediately and Sabre laughed.

"So, would you be so kind as to accompany Norban and myself to my house? I can have tea ready in a few minutes, if that's what suits your fancy."
Wash: I think they really captured his essence.
Kaylee: He looks kinda mean.
Wash: That's sorta what I meant.
Simon: This must be what going mad feels like.
Kaylee: Everywhere I go, his eyes keep followin' me...

Gwenefiere Looked thoughtfuly to the floor, thinking over the offer now that she and Victoria were semi-straight with the earlier events. Luestrife was a good distance away, at leaste two weeks travel by horse or foot, plus there was the ship in between because the two continents were seperated on all sides by the ocean. The Middle ocean. It seperated the two largest known masses of Aronia. She wasen't sure if she should leave Ombra Di Notta just yet either. There was alot to be done, and she worried for the safety of her kingdom. At the last time she had been there before this one, the castle and temple had been destroyed and Victoria changed. She coudln't afford that again.

The mans wink, and returned it with a knowing grin. She was not stupid to the minds of men. She did not doubt the good nature in the gesture but it would take at leaste a day to figure out whether or not she would go. There was much she had to look into, too much to be srtaightened out, and even more faces that she had to reacquaint with. It was a long favor, though it would make good foreign relations, but she did not feel ready to make a decision. As well, she was not in her proper state to do much from under her protective home. She was still human after all. Lifting her head to the priestess, she gave her a cowled look of exhaustion. She figured it was time that she retire for the night.

"I am not sure yet....I agree though. Give me a night to decided and I will tell you in the morning." Looking to the Traveler. "If you like, Go and rent a room at the Silver Steed." From her waist she produced a small silk bag which was obviously heavily filled with Leaves. There was enough there for an extravagant room and enough food and drink for a week. She smiled in approval as she handed it to him. "I will give my decision in the morning. I am Tired. Victoria, I am sorry for the misunderstanding." She said, looking the woman full in the face. "It won't happen again. But Good night to you, and You as well. " Her eyes trailed to Victoria's Guest. She saw the jealous affixiation, and it warmed her heart a little. Turning once more to the Traveler. She headed to the door.

"Shall I escort you to the Tavern? Or can you make it on your own?" She offered, before heading through the door and to the higher level of the temple.

OOC: I merged it cause everyone one was going to hidden tomes to post in the temple and figured to just throw them together to have less on the boards. Sabre hates her smoking, norban hates her drinking his beer...LOL *Sings* "Nobody likes me, everybody hates me, I guess I'll go eat worms"

IC: The sword in her possession brought a comfort that she forgot existed. It had been a long time since it left more than two feet of her. Still, it was mostly because of its history. Even without having any powers it was still her favorite. Sentimental value usually weight out monitary value any day. Nicholette jumped from the ignition of her cigarette and it fell to the ground. Quickly picking it up before it went out, she realized why the woman laughed and she did so nervously.

"Tea sounds fine. If you've got a little wiskey to spike it with, that'd be even better," Nicholette situated herself for travel, waiting to follow the woman.

Shale walked up not long after the whole debacle, though he knew everything that happened, after conferring with one of the guards. Sabre and her portals. He had walked there, actually, taking his time - this whole day was just becoming more and more tiresome, to be truthful.

"So, this is the one that was sneaking around in the alley while you and Alain put down the traitors? And you're taking her to your house, what fun."

He shook his head and put a hand to his brow for a moment.

"Were it anyone but you I would have to think you insane... if she tries anything she's going straight to my prison, just so you know."

Victoria mentioning foreign relations provoked a response.

"Don't quote me, but I think that it has something to do with whatever have been going on lately. My boss is just trying to gather other well-respected persons to share information."

Grinning to the queen, agitated but professional, he replied to her request to answer in the morning.

"I understand your situation. Afterall, you are the queen It is completely out of the blue and you had no sooner notice. My boss does that a lot. I should be at home." Talking to the queen, "How about I escort you to your chambers, after all, it is a task for a gentleman." Bowing and with a draping of his cape, he bid Victoria good night. With a slight nod and glimpse out of the corner of his eye, bit the unknown creature fair travels.

OOC: Heh, I know I'm out of turn, but I had a moment to write this quickie up, so yeah,

She waited at the top of the stairs for him, wrapping her arms about herself. She hadn't felt cold in a long time. It was so new. She was tired as well and it didn't help. Gaining a new respect for humanity, as her now human body had many requirements, that were a good deal less when a vampire.

"I appreciate your courtesy. I don't mean to be a hastle, but I have a great deal on ym mind...I have only just returned home." She said, looking to him as they exited the temple, and out into the chilling night air. it whipped at her face a little, threatening rain to pour down upon them. it did not though and they were lucky.

"Are you sure I should not show you where the Inn is? Do you plan on staying in the city for the night?" She referred without saying, to the small pouch of money she had given him. She shivered a little and continued along the cobblestone walkway outside of the temple. It was a short road that led the long way to the Castle. It didn't take them too long to reach the stepps of the huge stone structure, that loomed greedily above them, swallowing the sky from view. Street lamps cast an errie glow about the world. It was beautiful. Stopping finaly at the castle, she turned to him and smiled.

Victoria decided silently that she too would wait to give a definitive answer until morning. She didn't know this man, and though he seemed to have no ill will, looks could always be decieving. It was usually the most charming man that held the most devious intents. She smiled and nodded politely as the man made his exit and Victoria waited until both the queen and the man left the hall. She could hear their footsteps as they ascended the stairs. Looking to the creature, only slightly facing him, she sighed.

"I rather not have anymore conflict, so don't think I underestimate you," She was of course referring to what she said to the man earlier, but getting all mushy wasn't her intention. And she had a lot of time to waste until morning. An idea popped into her head, but it was merely for something to do.

"Do you want to have a physical body? Would that make it easier for you to exist or not be so hell bent on an answer that might not be there?" It seemed an easy task for Victoria. When you boil it right down, its all about energy. That's it. You don't need to create another being out of actual flesh to have flesh. As long as physical energy was present, it could be whatever you wanted it to be. Granted some things may not work properly do to basic biology, but it could be there. Atleast it could be a step in some sort of direction.
