Listening to the creature's reply, Victoria tried to analize the response. His words sounded sincere. As he spoke, it felt as if she had another change in attitude suddenly. Victoria had not been this emotionally chaotic since, well, since she was mortal. And that usually happened with her monthly cycle. If the creature felt compelled to protect her, then that was fine by her. You can never have too many guards. His reference to the words and actions while in the castle usually would have flushed her cheeks and silenced her tounge, but Victoria's mouth raised in a corner and her eyes smiled as she looked the creature from head to toe, well, not that far down and back up again. Victoria stood and took a couple steps toward the creature, quite close considering. Placing her hand on the side of his face, Victoria spoke softly. "Yes, much was said and done, was it not?" Her gaze dropped to his lips for a moment before she felt the presence of another in the room. Looking to the door, Victoria noticed the queen. Her hand dropped immediately and she took a step back. "At least you were honest with your words. I just wanted to know what my purpose was that you were finished with," Victoria smiled once more before she stepped aside to address the queen, leaving a moment for the creature to respond. She truly wanted to know. "Gwenefiere, I did not expect your appearance. Especially in the library," She did not say much. It was more to get the queen's attention away from her involvement with the creature. From an outsider's point of view it would have seemed harmless, but Gwenefiere knew Victoria better than anyone. If there was one thing Victoria didn't do, it was to be close to or touch anyone. Even sitting at a dinner in honor of guests to the castle. Gwen understood why as well. |

It watched her carefully. Not expecting this reaction. This meant it would have to come to a conclusion more rapidly. Even if it didn't know what its purpose had been. Luckily it never got to it having to answer, the foul woman that had nearly destroyed it was here. It kept its detached, emotionless demeanor. It slowly turned to face the queen. Its body tenced, it would not be taken surprise by this woman again. It didnt remember much of her attack except that it caused the mechanical one to hault. Then pain, yes uncomfortable, torturous pain. Its eyes narrowed at her but made no move, as she was kin to the priestess, or so their earlier discussion had lead it to believe. So it would wait to see how this encounter went, as if he could do anything else without Victoria's leave to do so. |

SHe noticed Victoria's hand drop from the creature, but did not give it much attention. She was too worried of how the priestess would react to her that she stood wringing her hands. SHe was uncomfortable, and the looks the creature gave her didn't help. She took his tension as confusion though. How Unfair! She thought to herself. That a one who she ahd stood up for and saved their life, could look at her with such disgust. She ahd merely neutralized the situation in the Prison. It was not meant to kill or harm, but rather to stop the confrontation. She did not press the point though and smiled to Victoria when she approached. "I am sorry, to interupt your studies." She had noticed the books. "But I am terribly sorry, Victoria, for any misunderstanding we may have had. I was unsure and confused. I acted without thought." She bowed her head slightly, giving the woman respect. Thought, Gwenefiere was the Queen, and goddess of the vampire race of Aronia, she was not concieted. "As well, I am sorry for my absence..." She almost mumbled. She had had no control over that, but she was still sorry for it. Had she been able to turn back time to fix the problem, she would have. Looking up into the priestesses eyes, she looked worried and as human as ever. She was weak and vulnerable, but held the momories of when she wasn't. That was torture as well. Stepping a bit farther into the room and closer to the priestess, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a small silver disk. It was an ancient medallion that was created by the gaurdians. It held a power of it's own and Since she had found Victoria, the girl had been entranced by it. Gwenefiere could not use it, as it was not her element. Reashing out, She handed it to Victoria, some what as a peace offering, but mostly as a gesture of their friendship. She did not want problems with her closest friend, and she meant to make that seen. |

"Lady Sabre wishes to see you, then." Norban's eyes flicked to the side as the bartender slid the two mugs of ale towards them. When the woman handed one over to him, he took it, only to set it back down on the bar untouched. "No, please." It was obvious that what he was trying to say was 'no thank you', but for starters, he wasn't incredibly versed in contact with civilized beings, and secondly, he was focused on his job of getting this woman to the dark woman in a timely manner. "Lady Sabre wishes to see you," he repeated. "I take you to her. Follow me. Business with her more important than drinking the poison." As he said the last word, he motioned towards the ale. It wasn't poisoned, but it did poison and cloud the mind, so he considered it not a good thing to drink. It didn't even taste good anyways. |

Sabre's form moved through the great entrance hall of the castle. Her eyes scanned the room, looking for her horse. She found him in the far right corner and smirked silently. Snapping her fingers, she watched as the horse whirled around, saw her and came galloping towards her. She did not flinch, even when he came to a sudden halt right in front of her, but merely grinned, bringing one hand up to gently stroke his nose and pat his cheek. "Come, my dear. We must find the General... and fast." A wolf, obviously getting on in years, seemed to overhear what Sabre had just said and decided to speak up. "Queen and General leave for Temple." Sabre's eyes flashed, but quicly dimmed. It was a wolf she'd known personally for years. Usually he prowled with his partner along the streets near her house, but now he was alone and in the castle. Narrowing her eyes some, she spoke to it. "How long ago?" "Few minutes. And I here because partner got hurt, so different pair by your house, Lady." Aha. That made sense. Thank goodness for body language and telepathic links, she thought as she stepped lightly up and into Kael's saddle. "Thank you very much. At ease." With a small smile in his direction, Sabre dug her heels into Kael's sides gently, but urgently. He understood the command and started off across the hall at a light canter. Instead of running down the steps themselves, for that would have been quite awkward for Kael, he directed himself up and onto the wide banister on the left side of the staircase. It was a smooth surface, with no bumps or steps to deal with, so he could run down it much easier. As they reached the bottom, Kael leapt over the crouching gargoyle at the end of the rail, landing on the ground with a thud of hooves. He smoothly transfered his joints and muscles from being use for landing to being used for running again and took off down the street a little faster than before. At this rate, they arrived at the temple in no time. Kael slowly cut down his speed as he reached the temple staircase. Sabre hopped off his back before he'd even stopped and was halfway up the stairs, at the top of which, stood a rather familiar figure, by the time he finally did. Making two clicking noises with her mouth, she finished rushing up the steps knowing full well now that Kael would not be going anywhere. The temple door was closed, but that didn't matter to Sabre. Stepping up to the General, she clapped a hand onto his shoulder. "I think you and I should have a little talk," she murmured, pulling the bloody scroll from her pocket. Holding it by one end, she let the rest of the parchment unroll itself so that the General could see the map, boldly marked secret entrances included. OOC: I didn't really understand how Gwen and Shale got to the Temple, so err... I just sorta improv'd that one. If it's wrong and I shouldn't have been able to do that, let me know and I can change it.

Nicholette tried to put a face to the name the creature spoke of and she couldn't. Whomever Lady Sabre was, she had never heard of her before. Watching the wolf set down the ale, Nicholette frowned. 'That's gonna take some chugging' she thought to herself. By this time though, Nicholette could handle two more pints. Perhaps this Sabre woman could lead her to the golem and his capture. Someone had to know about this golem. Calling the brew poison made Nicholette laugh. It was true, but after a while one gets used to the taste and effect. Nicholette was extremely tolerable to both. "All right. Just no funny buisness," Nicholette wagged her finger lightly at the animal, "One sec," She quickly finished the pint in her hand, returning it to the bar and grabbed the one the wolf had set on to the bar. Raising it in a toast to the animal and with a nod, she gulped the liquid with ease and wiped the froth from her upper lip. Nicholette placed three leaves on the bar next to the two empty mugs. Smiling, now a bit more relaxed and in the mood to visit this Sabre, Nicholette linked her arm with the creature and gestured to the door with the other. "Lead on, oh furry one," Nicholette chuckled to herself. She wasn't drunk by any means, she just spoke freely. |

"Very well, Highness." He huged her back, then he smiled a little as she went inside. Once the door was shut, he put a hand to his forehead. Never before had the priestess and the Queen both at the same time acted younger than he was, when both were older... ah well. He was about to turn and leave when he felt Sabre's hand on his shoulder, and he turned to look at her, and the scroll in her hands. "Yet again I must read through your bloodstains, hm, Sabre? A little kindness to an aging soldier, if you will." He took the map from her her hands, and walked away a bit to stand in the light, where he shook his head slowly, and rolled the map back up. "I'll reinforce security, call up the skirmishers, and the Leigion will stand up by tomorrow, but my ability to mobilize the marge forces in such a short time is extremely limited. The lycan units are apparently not enough to combat whoever is pulling the strings here... I would speak with the Queen about this but she is currently... resolving personal issues." The lady would take his meaning at that, he was sure... "Fear not, though. As you well know I have dealt with worse. I thank you for the map, however. Makes my job simpler." He turned his head, slightly, and let out a draconic roar, then waited a moment as one of the wolves ran up. The General took it by the throat and inspected its shoulders, then he let it go and handed the scroll to it. "Give these to Fai'ell, and tell him that I need the skirmishers and the Leigion on standby, but to put the Fallen on these entrances immediately." The wolf ran, and Shale put a hand to his head again. "Such a long period of peace has apparently dulled my mind... any suggestions on your part, Sabre?" |

"Well, I hope you don't mind me joining you. I'm on my way to see the priestess myself," He really was thinking, 'I'm making my way down the food chain, one knotch at a time. Queen to Priestess, Priestess to peasant.' It just made the trip longer, atleast at this leg I had someone to keep me company. In just a couple weeks I would be sitting in the lounge of Casino Kelpie sipping wine, gambling my earnings away. He slowly strode beside her and noticed her long dark hair drifting as she walked. With a sharp, almost arrogant glance, he said, "You know what they say, dogs make the best companions." Night vision was not what it used to be, after all this dog was getting old. The smell of the queen helped him find his way down the stairs. Even though the scent of the queen was driving him crazy, he could still pick out the priestess and something else. He stood back and watched the women talk, not listening to their words, but just watching their bodies. How he would like to sleep on the end of their bed. |

Victoria narrowed her eyes a bit as Gwenefiere spoke, remembering how the man that had appeared the same time the queen did and how the two clung to eachother. They had returned together, Victoria was sure of it. He meant to replace her, as all previous men in Gwenefiere's life tried. Unfortunately, most of them were killed in the process. She had looked away for a moment when the queen placed an object in her hand. The energy of it was familiar to Victoria immediately. Looking down quickly and back to the queen, she was confused. As a young girl, she had asked for it relentlessly. Gwenefiere would alway reply, "When you have found your self; your source, then the treasure will be yours." How ironic that she had now recieved it. Victoria felt as lost as ever, but at the same time confidence and strength had been found. Taking a deep breath and sighing, Victoria's face softened and she smiled. The arrival of another's energy brought her attention to the door. Noticing a stranger, a man, Victoria smirked. The queen was back and was it a wonderful thing. She must have tired of Alain, he was an arrogant snob of a man. Reminded her some what of Vorhen. Both pompous but Alain kept it hidden, camoflaged in manners and courtesy. Victoria shook her head a bit. "I'm just glad you are back again," Victoria closed her fist around the pendant, "I was angry that the moment you returned Alain was the only thing important or that mattered. It was as if you did not return to the kingdom to see me as well, but..." Victoria looked to the figure standing in the doorway, "It seems not so." Victoria slipped the medallion into the bodice of her garnments. "You seemed so content with him, I felt as if I lost you to Alain. Either way, you were not alone. If you chose him, I had nobody and if you chose me, then he would have nobody. Both ways you would not be alone, and I was," Victoria motioned with her hand to the creature, "This thing can't tell his own self from a pile of feces. Better yet, neither can I. And that's what I got stuck with," Victoria laughed under her breath a little, "Tell me how you would feel..." It was as if a flood gate was let loose. "That louse even had the nerve to take advantage of me. When you saw me leaving his room in the castle, that's what happened. I didn't even realize it had happened, not until he verified it with his own words. I thought it was a dream, no a nightmare," Victoria spoke of the creature as though he was not present. He was so apathetic, Victoria wondered what it would take to get a rise at all out of him...if it was even possible. "And now, since he got all freaky with my blood, he said that protecting me and my kin was something 'he must do' How would you feel having someone with no personality around and you can't even help because the damn thing can't figure it out himself when you've already explained it until you are blue in the face," Victoria's energy started to feel noticably different. Flowing and calm. A peace swept over her that had been quite absent. "So, who is this?" She nodded her head towards the door, motioning to the man. |
