Forgotten: No one can escape. A great flash emerged above all of Aronia leaving each with short term memory loss. Years lost to the fog of amnesia. Can no one recall? That appears to be the case. Whom or what is responsible? Panic has stricken the globe. Will civilization collapse? What will emerge from the reset? Only time will tell. To each citizen of Aronia from the Global Gazette, we wish all luck.
Welcome to Aronia. We hope you enjoy your visit.

It listened carefully. Waiting to hear that bit of information that would answer its questions. That had never came, instead more questions followed the brief explanations she gave. She didn't seem to fond of the subject of what had transpired in the castle. Yet soon she was leading him elsewhere again. So he stood and followed. Even now the vampiric bond caused by the blood in the fountain was strengthening itself between them.

This temple appeared to have many secrets. A secret passage, light appearing at the priestesses command. He followed her down the passage, in similar fashion to his walk to the temple, and into some old forgotten library. A thin layer of dirt seemed to cover just about everything. It's eyes searched over every inch of the room but he remained standing there silent, even once he had completed the once over. His eyes traveled back to her and he patiently waited.

Victoria turned her head slightly so she could just see the being and walked further into the room.

"The books are ordered by title. Alchemy to Zoology for example," Victoria walked along the bookcases, her finger trailing over the spines. Finding a book entitled, "Encyclopedia of Magical Beings," Victoria pulled it from the shelf and quickly flipped through. There were many pictures, as it was a hand written book that a mage had given her as a gift. The mage had been a close friend and helped with her instruction at one piont. The book had been quite helpful over the past few centuries. Victoria turned to the creature and tossed the book to him.

"If you see anything that is familiar, let me know," Victoria continued to search. Finding an old text that contained many recipies for summoning, Victoria took a seat on one of the leather chairs and began to read. The unfotunate fact that many of the books were handwritten caused too often much information to be scattered throughout the text. She easily flipped through the pages that consisted of angelic beings of light and such. It would be a long night, if there was success at all.

Making his way through the city quickly, he found the castle easily. With his keen sense of smell, he could distinguish between the rich and the poor, which made the queen able to be found. Changing into his human form, he approached the queen and her companion from behind. Being human would be less aggressive than being a wolf. Reaching into his cloack, Crispin retrieved the invitation and extened it for the queen to accept as he bowed before her with his head lowered. If she read it, the letter would read this:

In leiu of recent events, you are formally invited to spend three nights in luxurious Casino Kelpie on the next full moon. Only the rulers of each contient and a guest of choice is welcomed to participate in the events. There will be a 'high-rollers' section for gambling roped out. Every Leaf you bring, the casino will match. A special performance is scheduled in the cocktail lounge that evening. Each guest will be given a suite on the recently remodeled hotel located above the casino itself. Completely inclusive stay in honor of your presence.

Compliments of Brass.

"Of course, this invitation is also extened to the High Priestess also." In this city, both women were regarded with authority.

ooc: I already talked it over w/ brass, so he's not an intruder. It's legit.

Its hand snatched the book from the air and he stared at it momentarily. Searching over the outside of the book as if with caution before opening it and begining his search. He paused to read anything that caught its attention but hours had passed by with nothing recognizable. Yet still it continued searching carefully through the book. Word by word and picture by picture.

Hours passed and finally it paused its reading to look at a picture, "I have found something." it stated as it slowly aproached her. Turning the book around to face her as he held it open. There was a picture of some devil, by the looks of it. The description calling it a "pact maker". Though these were not hostile creatures they did make deals with creatures, often mortals, that would end in their favor. Though the demon wasn't entirely familiar its head was an exact duplicate of the demonic heads crafter into his armor. At each shoulder and at his groin.

OOC: technically it is the tavern, but lets just keep the thread here for now...lol most likely nicholette will return to the castle soon.

IC: Nicholette was enjoying a tall stout when someone interruped her half swallow. The voice was familiar. Looking up to the being that spoke, she almost choked and eyes went wide. The first thing to cross her mind was 'oh, shit...' She may not have heard the beast speak, but even a growl held some similarity. If she couldn't even figure out someone's voice, then she should not be a hunter of any sort.

"Yeah, I was. So what's it to you?" Nicholette made it sound like no big deal. Her recognition kept to herself as well. Setting the almost empty mug on the bar, she motioned for the tender to bring her two more. Buying someone a drink ususally put them in a better mood. She really didn't feel like fighting this creature, he wasn't her bounty. It would be a waste of her energy, and as far as it looked she would need all of it if she had any chance at defeating the golem. The barkeep quickly slid two full mugs down the bar and Nicholette intercepted them, the froth spilling onto her hands and the bar.

"Have one on me," Nichollette held the ale to the wolf. Everyone enjoyed a tall boy, she only hoped it extended to other species as well. Otherwise, she had two to finish herself.

Through the time they sat there reading, Victoria had nodded off. Nothing in the book she chose had proven useful. Sure there were a few possibilities, but the creatures weren't anything like him. All the 'recipies' she read would take ingredients that were entirely too weak to create the being. The blood of a snake or dust of a vampire were the closest things she could find, and that wansn't cutting it. Startled awake by the voice of the creature, the book she had been reading fell onto the floor.

"Dammit," She muttered, picking the book back up and setting it on the table. As the creature reached her, she looked eagerly as he turned to book for her to view. Victoria sighed as she read the page. How could she have missed that? It was one of the oldest tricks in the book. It was similar to the djinn, just summoned rather than found captured in something. Also, every djinn had to come from somewhere... Then again, how did she know he didn't start in something? Hence the red and black on the ground. Victoria looked from the book to the creature.

"Well, that looks like the answer to what you are. And your purpose has been fulfilled. Once the one who made the pact with you is dead, then technically it should be completed," His desire for a purpose was crystal clear. However, Victoria knew better than to be getting involved with creatures like this one. She would end up on shit creek without a paddle. And shit creek wasn't fun.

"Please do not take this personally, but based on your reputation I don't think I would want to make a pact with you. It will turn out bad for me," Victoria did not want to leave him to be lost still, but she couldn't risk making a deal with the devil. Unless she thought like a devil...

"If someone making a deal with you is what will save you from yourself, then the only proposition I have is for you to protect me and my kin with your own existance," Victoria had to think of loopholes he could find just in case this deal were to go through. A mage asking for the death of all mages was quite full of them.

"Should you attempt to harm me or my kin, your own existance would cease the very moment you attacked. Also, if I say for you to protect someone or thing, you cannot harm them either until I say so, using the words: Do not harm them, them being the person or object I would refer to by name, in which you cannot inflict any damage or pain on in the same sense to me. If I change my mind, I will say: They, they being the person or object I would refer to by name, are no longer bound. Then all bets are off and you can do as you wish. Also," She added on quickly, "You must give me a name or word to describe yourself, just in case I need to put yourself into the words for the pact." Victoria bit her lower lip as she thought through the plan. Hopefully the creature would be past the stage of needing a purpose since the run-in with her blood. But this was a whole new situation and she had no idea what the outcome would be. Victoria waited patiently to hear what the creature would respond with. At this point anything was possible.

It frowned at her, in confusion as she spoke. Shaking its head and simply nodding, "The blood from the fountain had already made it impossible to harm you." it stated though it was not the fountain in truth, it had been incapable of harming her for some time, though without its knowledge. The orbs which were the demonic eyes in his armor still held the colour of the blood from the fountain.

It shifted where it stood, "We do not think we are one of those...but a by product of a deal. Would make sense why a likeness of them is on us. Or maybe we are one and do not recall." it sighed and leaned back, "We will obey, as you command. Harm those who seek harm on you and your kin, or those specified in later times until further instructed. Yes?" Its own eyes were slowly taking on the blood-red colour of the fountain.

Victoria looked to the floor as the creature spoke. She felt completely embarassed at her ignorance. It seemed that ever since the contact with the being she was rewired so to speak. That was not the case at all, but something just didn't fit. Hopefully it would only take time for her mind to return to its former status. His offer to stick with what she had proposed if it were necissary brought her gaze back to him.

"I...yeah, sure," Victoria stumbled over her words a bit. It was strange to her for the creature to still agree to the terms. Then again he should, after what he said and had done to her. Suspicion made its presence known to Victoria. Gripping the arms of the chairs, she spoke solidly.

"Why? What do you plan to gain from this?" Victoria knew about the connection through the blood and its properties, but it did not force him to remain in her presence, "The words you spoke while captive, why? How can it not have importance now?" He had free will, she would just know where he was, as if an extention of herself. Victoria was of no use now as she was before. So, why? Even he said that whatever gave the mage the ability to create him had the events turn out better for itself and what would make this creature have less similairities? It was Victoria's turn for answers.

The queen Linked her arm into Shale's. even though He was much taller than her, and the action looked somewhat odd, it was not uncomfortable. She looked thoughtful and somewhat confused.

"If it does, you. Take me to the temple." She smiled up at him. "You have always been good at talking me out of my worries. I must talk to her though. We have much to discuss. There is much going on, and we need to be united in order for my return to go smoothly." Her boots thudded softly on the carpeted hall. The door at the end, was the one which would lead to the temple. They still had a distance to travel, but not too far. Looking up suddenly, she noticed the extra presence, her dark eyes finding the one who felt much like one of the gaurds. He was in a human form though. Obviously not the High Blood Line of the Dhenn Isle. SHe smiled regardless and gently took the roll of invitation from his hand. She bowed her head to him as well, in the recognition of his position. She watched silently as he walked away, looking up to Shale. She had stopped short, and now stood, holding the roll, looking at it with some worry. Her curiosity got the best of her though and she pulled the cord and unwrapped it.

Compliments of Brass."~

SHe looked to Shale slightly bewildered.

"I have never in my years heard of the Casino Kelpi, But I will ask the Priestess what she thinks." Gwenefiere spoke, her voice soft. Turning, she continued on toward the temple.

It did not take long to get there, and Gwenefiere excused herself at the door.

"Thank you Dear, General. I appreciate your company. But I have pressing matters to discuss." She gave hima half smile, showing her true feelings of the situation she was about to enter. She gave him a hug, then turned and stepped through and into the temple.

The Main chamber looked as it had for the past thousand years, and it offered her comfort. Stepping about, she peered to see if the priestess was visible, but did not find her. Gwenefiere had a good Idea that she was below. Moving for the statue, she inhaled, closing her eyes and taking in the freshness of her home. It was everso good to be back. Candels were lit to cast the right light on the dome. It was the home of vampires after all, and the coal coloured candels were fitting. At the statue, she skirted around it to the secret entrance of her and VIctoria's. Pressing the panel, it slid open, the rock scraping and grinding slowly open. Stepping through, she did not bother with the candels here, but simply walked down in the dark, her eyes perfect even in the pitch. At the bottom she turned and found herself in the hall. Stepping to the first door, the Library, She pushed it open, finding them sitting and reading. They were discussing something but she did not listen, merely stepped into the room. She knew that Victoria would Notice her.

It drew back at her sudden questioning, surprised, though its face didnt show it. It listened to her carefully and did not respond immediatly but took its time, as if thinking. "I do not know, we feel I must....not as an obligation but...like we do not have a choice. It is something I must simply do." it shifted back to a neutral stance, no longer drawing back away from her, "We..are not sure what you mean by what we said while captive. We said much, and did much." it stated. More because the subject seemed to draw silence from her and it did not have the answers she wanted, or was not sure what answers she was seeking. The silence would be borrowed time to think further on what she meant.
