She glanced quickly between the two, from the creature to Sabre and back again. But only a millisecond passed before she acted. Making her way to Sabre, the last remaining scent of street rat's herbs lingered in Gwenefieres nose. The smell was acrid, and sweet, burning and earthy. It was familiar though...of a trip to the Jade Isle. But she couldn't recall it in great detail at the moment. The fountain's expanse stood as a monument not only to their kind, but their timeless history. A History that Neither Gwenefiere or Victoria would ever be allowed to forget. And if one were to forget, it would not be far off their heels, ready to drown them with it's perpetual madness once more. It was a sad life, but one that was necessary in a darkly lustful manner, that ate away at Gwenefiere's soul. It ate away at who she remembered herself to be. It made her want to cringe away from the blood fountain, whose metallic smell covered that of the woman's herbs. Only Victoria's scent and feel was there. It made Gwenefiere realize more so how long she had been gone. "I wasn't here..." She looked to Sabre for a moment, and then to the Priestess, who was nothing but a heap in the Creatures arms. She would not believe how weak the woman was... It made so little sense... Something was not right. Never had Victoria taken so long to recover from any ritual...including the one they had preformed that afternoon. The queen didn't have any idea...which was somewhat to the lengths of great displeasure. Her brow furrowed a little, as the situation wound itself past her eyes. "I'm not sure exactly. She was...resting when I last saw her." She caught the words before they came out in the wrong way. Worry had already been established. Her eyes found those of the Creature, and she bade him to her, with a quick motion of her slender hand. She had to do something after all. She could feel the eyes on her. wondering what...just plain what. Honestly...Gwenefiere didn't know. She had no idea what to make of the situation. Only that she needed to do something before that worry became panic. And as if luck were on her side, Alain came sweeping back in, and deposited a body to the floor. Live food for Victoria? Her eyes wend to the limp for of the woman...no such luck that she would get it live...by the time the sun set, half the mans flesh would be eaten by the things that lingered in the shadows. No, it was best to just take care of it. Wordless eyes watched him retreat, and then moved to the body. Her feet moved as quickly as her eyes and in what seemed like a single fluid moment, she had made way over, and peered down upon the man. Today was not his lucky day... Victoria would be able to drink better if she did it the right way. Bending with regal grace, Gwen grabbed him by his head, lifting him by his matted, dirty hair. Pulling his body up to the edge of the fountain, Gwenefiere tipped back his head, exposing the soft of his throat, his adams apple, protruding like some kind of growth, the angle making it awkward. with vampiric accuracy, she used the fingernails of her free hand to stab into the targeted artery, collapsing his esophagus on their way through. They came out clean, the blood taking a moment before spurting from the pressure his last heart beats. A Smile touched her lips, as she wiped the blood from her hand and reached for a chalice, putting it below the stream as if it were mead from a barrel. When it was full, she propped him to drain into the fountain and turned to the priestess and the Creature. Dipping a dainty finger into the chalice, she popped it into her mouth, letting the metallic flavor roll over her tongue like a forgotten language. "She should drink while it's still warm.." Gwenefiere stated through her grin, and held out the blood toward Victoria. |

Sabre's eyes found those of the Queen as the two spoke. She frowned as the Queen looked back to Victoria, a look of sadness in her royal eyes, mingling with... helplessness? Placing a hand on the Queen's shoulder, she squeezed it ever so softly, sending a bit of her own strength into Gwenefiere. She needed to be strong for Victoria. They all did, but Gwenefiere most of all. If anyone could help the priestess, it would be Gwenefiere. Sabre's hand fell back to her side as she spotted Alain dragging an unconscious body into the room. At first, she thought it was Nicholette, and she feared they'd gotten into a brawl. Noticing, however, that the form was masculine, she pushed that thought aside with a sigh of thanks. She watched the Queen move to Alain and take the crumpled form from the ground and shook her head softly. Ah, but he was smart. She guessed he would catch on to her teachings much quicker than she anticipated. Good, she thought to herself. ~Good idea~ she murmured, touching Alain's mind with her own. ~Do you mind watching Nicholette while I finish up in here? She's a bit of a handful, so be careful.~ Sabre smirked mentally to the Terran, but her outer expression remained stoic as she moved to the fountain. "Gwen..." she whispered. A thousand questions raced through Sabre's mind, different scenarios for each answer the Queen might pose, racing alongside them. Would the priestess be all right? Would she be all right before the war reached the city's borders? If not, would the Queen like Sabre to bring her somewhere safe? Deep down she knew, however, that the Queen would not want to be separated from Victoria, especially now that they'd finally reunited. |

The creature watched with detached interest. It's mind more on Victoria's current state than the happenings around it yet still it felt the need to pay close attention. Live food was the first thought that crossed the creatures mind when the man was brought in by the other and deposited on the floor. It was what Victoria needed, it could almost feel the need to feed though it was likely because of its own prior use of the fountain. As Gwenefiere prepped the 'food' the creature was unsure of what to do with Victoria. She seemed too weak to move how was she going to feast upon this one? The answer didn't come to it so it did the next logical thing, it slowly placed Victoria against the man, facing him, so little movement would be required. The creature seemed to be making sure it was all but gentle and sure in placement, "Victoria?" the blank voice lingered with what was surely unrest. Its teeth grit, it didn't like this odd sensation that was in it. |

OOC: sorry if this sucks. I haven't been around much...lol Mind's preoccupied with bullshit. I hate drama. IC: Victoria heard the commotion around her, eyes closed until she smelled the blood. With unknown strength, the lids opened to see the dead man being draged by the reincarnate to the fountain. Had she the strength to protest, she would have. She wanted to keep the blood in the fountain of the elders, but there wasn't much she could do at that particular moment. Looking to the extended cup, her mouth watered. Trying to lift a hand, Victoria was moved to the body of the man before she could make any motion. Either way, Victoria needed to feed. Her face almost buried in the corpse, she heard the creature speak her name. Had he one, she would have replied. The blood before her was too tantalizing to keep her thoughts on anything but. Again finding strength to do so, Victoria reached back and found the creature's hand. Intertwining her fingers with the hand of a creature as she fed, Victoria drank without shame. The refreshing flavor almost unnoticed in her ravenous state. As the blood was broken down and absorbed, she could feel strength return. A slight cramp in her abdomen paused her consumption for a moment and she finshed as much as the body would allow. Resting her head on the corpse's chest, she took a deep breath and a moment. Giving her body enough time to heal itself, she waited and sat up, releasing the creature's hand from hers. The action hopefully appeared fluid as taxing as it was. Blinking slowly, she turned her head to the creature and smiled knowingly. Victoria understood her condition now that she was recovering from the ritual and some time had passed. Turning her gaze to the queen, she lowered her eyes to the chalice. She could use more, it definately would help. ******************** Nicholette watched the feud between the man named Alain and the stranger. The words exchanged were very informative. Not only would she recive a reward for the golem now known as armor but for the man as well. Vorhen would be thrilled, although getting back into Arianrhod would prove harder than when she had left. Getting through closed borders wasn't a problem for Nicholette but with a dead man and a huge suit of armor...that was a different situation all together. Alain's disposal of the man secured the fact of her needing to kill the man. Pity, he was such a sweet piece of candy. As the man disappeared into the building with the body, Nicholette pulled out another little twist. She was far too sober to handle this situation properly. Just lighting the end as the man returned, she smirked as she inhaled and turned the rollie to form a well burning cherry. Finishing her task, Nicholette exhaled as the one named Alain spoke. Raising a brow, she nodded. "For you, Nicholette works just fine," Letting her eyes wander, Nicholette did not hide her gaze as it slowly made its way down the man's body, hesitating at the crotch, only to return to his lips. Taking another drag, she held the smoke for a moment and exhaled through her nose. Entering a mellow state of mind, she smiled again. "That was quite a show. How sweet that you had a stalker," Nicholette smirked again and lifted her brow briefly as she spoke, "You must be quite desired." Her eyes went to the temple doors and back to Alain. "Let's get out of here. There's a tavern just down the street there, Lady Sabre will find us," Nicholette really wanted a refreshing beverage and ale was just the one for her, "Besides, the dog will smell us out," Nicholette chuckled loudly at her own amusement. She could only imagine the dog sniffing their asses as he found them in the tavern. Taking a step forward, she nodded in the direction of the Silver Steed and hoped he'd follow. "It's on me," She added as an incentive. |

"'For me' huh?" He lifted a brow, then shook his head a little bit "Yeah thats not condescending..." Not that she seemed above looking him over like that... oh well. The sort of thing he should have been used to after dealing with Carla for five years... Oh well. He barked a short laugh when she mentioned the stalker "So you saw that huh? Yeah, real sweet..." He shook his head slightly and chopped a hand down on the bolt of the submachine gun, snapping it forward before he let the weapon hang at his side "So sweet I think I might have choked. Fairly literally. And yeah, what the fuck" He looked to the place where the man's head had left a stain on the pillar "I could use a drink..." Alain pushed a hand back through his hair, and walked towards the tavern. There was a soft sound, and Alia flew over - or rather glided, apparently she had climbed up a pillar and jumped off to glide down to him. He laughed a little bit and caught her, letting her crawl up on his shoulder "Alia, Nicholette, Nicholette, Alia." The little spitfire looked to Nicholette for a moment, then curled around Alain's neck gently. He felt her discomfort, but... well she'd always been shy. |

The creature watched with detached interest. The blank expression on its face and lack of emotion in the eyes made it seem more like a scientist observing some lack-luster expiriment. Though when Victoria's hand found it's that expression changed to something more serious and observent as if something had caught its interest. It gave her hand a light squeeze for no reason that the creature could dictate. It was no longer watching the feeding but its focus shifted to Victoria. When Victoria released its hand its fingers took a moment to relax. Its head tilting to the side as Victoria sat up and turned her gaze to the queen. Its own attention slowly shifted towards Gwenefiere as if awaiting to hear what was next. |

Gwenefiere extended the chalice to her priestess, the poor light glittering sickeningly on the top of the warm blood. Had the temple been only a couple degrees cooler, steam may have been risen from it's depths, as it looked like pitch, even to the queens vampiric eyes. Being sure that Vic took the cup, Her eyes then lifted to Sabre, and she smiled a little. "A lot has happened while I have been gone, I'm sorry I haven't been here to help with the hardships." Her eyes lowered to the Priestess again and she shook her head. "But now that I am back, I am not about to let you go and die, Vic." A toothy grin corrupted her scarlet lips, and she straightened, looking between the three others. Gwenefiere was glad to see that the creature stuck so close, and wondered how if they knew how obvious their affections were. Her gaze averted to Sabre though and she smiled a bit. "Business always mottles pleasure, eh love?" She asked her dear friend, her smile becoming crooked and befitting of her status. Too bad she didn't care. Inching closer to Lady Sabre, she slung an arm around her shoulders "Have you learned anything else on the advance of the Wizard?" Her irises shone a metallic sapphire, so blue they were almost black. They also shone with her intent. So easy was it to read the Queens facial expressions. "I have no idea what he could be planning now, or how he would that this was a good time to attack..." Her eyes faltered a little and she pulled away, crossing her arms over her chest and biting into her lip a little before continuing. "I barely know why I am here or how I happened to fall into reality at the moment...It is all kind of vague. i remember the beach, and the sun...The smell of fish, and an old man who's wife was named after Vic and their daughter, after me." Her mind fluttered over the memories as gently as a butterfly over a blossom. There was much more from the night before that she remembered with fondness, but this she didn't disclose. "Many of us have returned it seems...I need to see all the new and old faces together, and we all have alot of work ahead of us, if Mayce is behind this.." She had doubts, but she also had a strong feeling about it all.. Gwen had a great deal on her mind right then and wasn't sure what to think, but she knew they needed to prepare. And that is what she planned to do. But the people standing before her were priority and she would be sure they were well before she took off. Gwenefiere watched as the Priestess drank, and took the cup when she was done, filling it again, just in case. "I just don't know what to do first.." She gritted her teeth and sipped the blood a little, enjoying the metallic burst of flavor across her tongue. |

Sabre looked to Gwenefiere as the Queen spoke up. She soon realized that her highness was speaking to her and she paid good attention to what was said, nodding to acknowledge she'd heard. "It's okay, Gwen," Sabre murmured, a smile brushing along the corners of her mouth. "I'm sure everything will work out just nicely." Deep down, Sabre wasn't quite as sure of herself, or of their future. One thing that was for sure, however, was that she'd die defending them if the need arose. She hoped the need would not, however. Death was never a friendly feeling, although one would figure she was used to it by now. With a mental roll of the eyes, Sabre pushed back those thoughts of the past, focusing now on what the Queen said. Despite herself, Sabre grinned some. "Aye, but it does." As the Queen slung her arm over Sabre's shoulder, her grin only broadened. Just like old times. "Not much... He infiltrated the wolves, but we eradicated that threat yesterday. Aside from the information I've gleaned from Norban's thoughts, I've learned nothing new. The wolves came from across the water. I can show you where their base was, if you'd like. I can also translate for Norban if you'd like to ask him questions I may have overlooked." White brows furrowed on top of Sabre's forehead. Mayce... Where had she heard that name before? Pushing the name to the side for now, Sabre looked down to Victoria briefly. "Perhaps we should ready the guards. Do they have any sort of armor? I don't know if we should warn the townsfolk just yet. The last thing we want is panic amidst an already chaotic situation. If the townsfolk ask why the guards are armed, the reason is to ensure your safety. I'm going to be working with Alain and Nicholette for a good portion of the day. I can work with more if you think it would be wise to tell a few loyal citizens of the impending attack." |

Victoria took the chalice and sipped the man's life source. The ravishing hunger was no longer felt but the added consumption topped it off. Listening to the women speak as she drank, Victoria's eyes every so often glancing to the creature. More so when the name Mayce was brought up. In all actuality no one really knew anything about the creature. In fact, that was a large part of Gwenefiere's presence. Subconciously, her hand moved to her abdomen as she drank. The action comforting. The name Alain she knew, but Nicholette? There were so many people in the city they were bound to pick up a few stragglers here and there. Victoria simply wondered why Lady Sabre would bother with another when she had so much to concern herself with as it was. Either way she would find out sooner or later. Finishing the cup, she set it on its place on the fountain and licked her lips subtly. Turning to the creature, she smiled and motioned her head towards the queen. When the ladies had a moment perhaps the queen could lend her knowledge. Drinking the blood had reminded Victoria of the encounter the creature had with the fountain before the ritual. The difference was her blood was quite more potenent than the mortal man's. Barely holding back a smirk, Victoria brought her attention back to the situation. How easy it was for her to become lost in her own mind. Then again, perhaps it was not so uncommon when you had thousands of years of memories locked away. OOC: Ok, I finally posted. Just had to get off my rump. It's a beautiful day, got good tunes and I can't stay grumpy. Oh, I'm moving nicholette to another board cause they'd be in the silver steed. |

The creature itself had paid little attention to the queen's ramblings. To it the names said meant little to nothing, it knew very little if anything of what was mentioned. A few names were remembered from the book it had rewritten. Its hostile act on the innocent text of the immense history leading to a past not so old. It kept glancing at Victoria while it waited for it to be directed. It felt some odd tightening in its chest while it waited to see if she had truely fully recovered. This Mayce worred the queen which meant that it would trouble Victoria. The creature glanced down to Victoria at its side. Its attention stayed on her for a moment before going back to Gwenefiere. That all too serious, emotionless mask on yet again. It spoke. "If this ancient wizard becomes such trouble why not kill it?" it had read the text and Mayce was mentioned. Though powerful he may be, if he could kill the other ancients then it would stand to reason that Mayce himself could be killed. Or so the creature had decided would be the logical conclusion, "We think it should be killed before it can inflict any further trouble." The slip up on proper use of individuality in reference to itself had been forgotten for the moment. The symbiotic armor was still partially linked ot its own selfconcious, in a fashion not unsimilar to other items that were strewn through-out the realm and their link to the one wielding them. OOC:Sorry, tired but here it is finally. |
