Sabre smiled at Nicholette, her teeth shining white in the midday sunlight. She then turned quickly back towards the building as if she’d just heard something not there. Her violet orbs seemed to drift off in thought and slowly turned a deep crimson hue. When she returned to reality, she smiled, satisfied. Norban appeared in the doorway, leading Alain. Sabre’s eyes brightened and she moved forward to greet the soldier. “Good day, Alain. Good to see you. I hope you’ve managed to keep yourself out of trouble for the night.” She grinned knowingly and turned to Nicholette, only to find that the girl had wandered off somewhere. Sabre narrowed her eyes and looked to Norban. Norban loped forward, stopping just behind Sabre’s left side. The sword she used in her left hand seemed nicer. Norban had no problems with Alain, as he’d fought beside the man before, so he relaxed some. The dark lady seemed much more comfortable in Alain’s presence as well it seemed, as if she knew he was trustworthy. The girl, though… Something smelled just a little off about her. He pointed to the doors leading inside the temple nonetheless, showing the dark woman where the girl had gone. Sabre's lips twisted up in a slight frown. "Huh... Well, Alain, I'd introduce you to Nicholette, but she seems to have disappeared in there," Sabre chuckled softly. Frowning apologetically, she slipped through the open doors. Her violet eyes slowly turned a crimson hue as her darkvision kicked in. There was light in the temple, but not very much. Once her sight had adjusted itself, it was easy to spot the girl. She was standing in awe, staring at the huge statue of the queen, who Sabre thought she spied slipping into the back room. Blinking, she shook her head some and called out to Nicholette quietly. "Queen Gwenefiere," she said, moving to stand beside Nicholette. "Isn't she beautiful?" Sabre smiled, silently content that the queen had returned to Ombra di Notta. Not a moment too soon, either. |

Her reaching out, made little difference it seemed, as they only recoiled farther away. Seeing that the Creature didn't have much footing space, The queen pressed no farther. If the two of them fell...she wasn't sure she would have enough time to catch them. The shift in the beings face told a little of what she needed to know though and she sufficed to wait until his vision had cleared. Gwenefiere had caught the almost hostile look from him, and didn't like it, her guard raising in an almost palatable form of energy. It was forgotten just as quickly as she saw the shift seem to finish and he stepped toward, and began around her. Now, she felt comfortable to reach, out, and change his course of direction. She didn't "Come...This isn't a good place to be right now..." The Queen lay a gentle, but firm hand on the Creatures arm. "Come this way..." Opposite the statue , another door set into the wall, this one was much the same as the other, but to open it, required pressure on the hidden pad in it's face. Gwenefiere approached it and opened the door with ease. a brighter light spilled from it's innards, the halo touching their feet, as she allowed them to enter. It would be a good place to sort things out. There seemed to be a great deal of confusion that needed organizing. The Queen was ready for anything they had to throw at her, at that point... She doubted that it could get much more strange. But then again...It was Ombra Di Notta. Gods, it had been too long. Sighing a little to herself, Gwenefiere waited with great patience, for the next move. |

Victoria felt the creature slightly retreat and the lack of the sound that had been present only moments before. The continuation of their journey brought her eyes before them. The opened door and the queen motioning them in that direction was the stimui for her body to tense. Shaking her head so little that it could only be felt and not seen, Victoria put as much presssure as she could with her fingers onto the creature. Which was quite weak to say the least. She had to get to the fountain for strength. There could not be anything in the room before her that could do such. Not to her recollection any how, and that was not infalliable. OOC: don't know what else to do w/ her right now... IC: Nicholette heard movement of stone on stone and then a voice. Holding her breath, she knew she could not move for a few moments. In the dim light she could see the illumination coming from a recently opened door. Putting two and two together, she figured that was the noise she had heard earlier. Hopefully whoever it was would continue in that direction and leave her to escape. At least she knew her exits. |

OOC:I'm pretty tired but figured I needed to post finally. I apologize before hand if its short or contains typos, unrecognizable uses of words, etc., IC: It had followed Gwenefiere to the secret door. If not for Victoria more than anything. The momentary laps of control brought on by the vision had caused it to forget about the fountain. That was until it felt Victoria move against it. She was shaking her head from what it could tell. It came to a hault and pondered this for a moment. The situation running through it's head as it attempted to piece out what Victoria was trying to do. "No...she said the fountain would help..." it stated and began to turn away from the hidden passage, "We need to to go the fountain." it stated taking a few steps away from Gwenefiere before glancing back at her. It wanted to make sure that she would follow as Victoria and here were two of the same creatures it thought it may be better if Gwenefiere were there incase any unexpected happenings unfolded. It may not know what to expect but perhaps the queen would. |

OOC: Shoooooooort Expecting them to follow her through, Gwenefiere waited patiently, only to be confused a little further. As odd as it seemed, the creature was more with it than her priestess...which the Queen did not care for in the least. What was going on? She was beginning to worry greatly about the woman's well-being. Without thinking, Gwenefiere left the door ajar, and followed along after them, nodding to Him, that she understood. Luckily she was no amature in both verbal and bodily language. If the Fountain was what the priestess needed though, Gwenefiere hoped that it would help to restore some of the woman;s ability to function. Gwenefiere had a nagging feeling that there was more happening than met her eye. But it was only one feeling out of a million that she was trying to make sense of. Oh, if she could just make some sense! a little bit of loving sense, would make her day that much easier...and then a familiar scent touched her nostrils, and she smiled, turning her head to see Her dear friend standing in her temple. Sabre looked wonderful as usual, but the creature with her, was to be desired. She smelled sickly of alcohol and smoke. Pursing her lips a little, she found herself caught on whether she should go to her priestess, or distract company such as a human from the midst of a very hungry priestess... |

OOC:Yeah yeah, short. IC: The creature moved towards the fountain. It failed to notice the others that seemed to be near. Even if it had noticed they weren't of any concern to note, though the woman it had fought at the prison was there too. It knew not as it carried Victoria to the fountain's side. It's footsteps were once again near soundless, atleast to human ears, despite the additional weight of the Priestess in its arms. It slowed to a stop as it reached the fountain. Looking over the large blood spewing item as it tried to determine how Victoria could access it in her current state. She could hardly move so it did not see how it was possible for her to gain anything from this fountain. It looked over its shoulder to Gwenefiere. The look was blank but the confused look in its eyes was there, "Help." it demanded without a moments hesitation. Obviously the title 'queen' meant nothing to it. At that moment it saw the woman from the prison, the one that had stabbed its back, and another female with her. Unless they would provide aid it cared not for their presense. Its attention snapped back to the fountain and to the nearly unconcious priestess in its arms. It walked to the very edge of the fountain, already debating on if it should place her down upon the edge of the device, or if perhaps simply placing her in it would be better. Though the thought of the last time she had been submerged in a liquid came to its mind, perhaps that wasn't such a good idea. It shifted almost nervously and glanced to Gwenefiere again. |

OOC: *gurgles* I'm sorry Amy... I'm just so bored, I neeeeed to post something somewhere and here seems to be my only option, lol. IC: Violet eyes turned as Sabre's overly sensitive ears picked up the sound of footsteps coming their way from the hidden passage. The creature appeared out of the doorway, carrying Victoria in its arms. The priestess didn't seem to be moving, although her eyes were open. Sabre's fingers clenched into a fist and she was ready to hurry over there, when she spotted the queen with them. Furrowing her brows, she sent the queen a questioning look. She needn't have, however, for the queen's worried look at Nicholette spoke volumes. As she realized where they were heading, Sabre clamped a hand down upon Nicholette's shoulder. "Get out of here," Sabre hissed, pushing the girl towards the door gently. "Please, don't question me." Without another word, Sabre hurried over to the queen and priestess, worry filling her violet orbs. "What's happened?" she asked in a hushed tone, her eyes finding those of Gwenefiere. |

OOC: I don't mind, I was being lazy anywho and could have posted last night...lol IC: Victoria's body relaxed once the creature changed it path and spoke to the queen. She would reach the fountain as planned even without being able to get herself there personally. Sighing with relief, Victoria closed her eyes again and thought of nothing until they reached the fountain. ********* Nicholette flinched when Lady Sabre spoke, she wasn't expecting her presence at all. Her eyes didn't leave the statue as the woman explained who it embodied. "Yeah..." The word drifting off only amplifying her awe. When movement drew her gaze, Nicholette had to blink twice. Was she really seeing what was in front of her? The two headed her way were odd as hell. What was going on? And the woman was the statue in the flesh. Swallowing hard, Nicholette did not know what to say or do. Her neck craned at the scene as Lady Sabre ushered her out of the temple. The woman took off towards the group and Nicholette thought for a moment on whether to follow the orders or not. She needed a drink anyways and decided to leave. Heading out of the door, she looked behind her one last time and walked into the sunlight. |

Alain dropped down off the low stone fence he had been walking along, and smiled a little bit. He was dressed rather more appropriately for the city than the last time Sabre had seen him, actually looking, but for his slightly overbright blue eyes and his watch, like he might have belonged in this world. Under the tunic and the light brown pants, though, he still wore his jumpsuit, and the blue and gray collar could be seen on his neck, and under the parted shirt "Hey Sabre... and guess we'll find her, huh?" He laughed a little bit and looked around a moment, putting a hand on Suchara's hilt Figures we come out here and she vanishes... "Oh, quit your bitching, Suchara..." As Sabre walked into the building, where Alain could feel Gwen and Victoria - not to mention that creature from before, Alain stopped and looked back behind him a moment, frowning slightly. What was... "Shit!" He grabbed the nearby pillar and pulled himself behind it just as a bullet passed the space he had been occupying, hitting the stone with a crack and blowing a few chips from it, a cloud of pulverized rock rising from the spot. Alain took a breath, drawing his own pistol from where he had hidden it under his coat, and closed his eyes, reaching out with his mind. The shot had been silenced, he didn't know exactly where it had come from... he had to feel the man out... Before he had a chance, though, he felt the man just around the pillar, and he dove to the side, aiming for the black-clad figure, but the gun was knocked from his hands, and clattered to the ground off to the side. Alain stumbled slightly, and the man came at him, a long and vicious looking combat knife in his hands. He swung for the side, but Alain drew Suchara partway and blocked the swing. Instead of finishing the draw and attacking, though, he lashed out across the man's arm with his hand, locking down just above his wrist and pressing his hands in, hard enough to make the assailant cry out and drop the blade. He started to level the submachine gun at his side, looked like an old Heckler and Koch to Alain, but he didn't get a chance for that either, Alain finally drew his blade and swung, neatly cutting the strap, and the weapon fell to the ground before the soldier could grab it. They stood there then, watching each other carefully, Suchara's prismatic blade gleaming a blood red in the light of the courtyard. The other man had a plain brown cloak covering what looked to be at least 21st century combat gear, all black, ballistic vest, clips and the like all over... Alain's eyes narrowed. "How'd you get in here dressed like that anyway?" "I have ways." "What are you after?" "The elves may be simple enough to think that was a golem, but we know powered armor when we see it" "We?" "Oops. Let that slip" "There's a very hungry vampiress in that building. Talk or I feed you to her." Alain had felt that already... it was hard for his mind to miss... and he was worried about her, about his sister... The man laughed though. "If you can" He dove then, and Alain lunged, but he had been expecting the man to go for his gun, instead he had gone for Alain's, which he hadn't been able to see behind the plant. The man got it and stood slowly, grinning. "Bring a sword to a gunfight... where's the armor. Now." Alain lowered Suchara, glaring slightly, and he took a step towards the man, silent. The man growled "FINE!" He yelled, and pulled the trigger - click - Nothing. He gaped, unbelieving, and Alain thrust one hand forward, his mind's power lashing out, wrapping around the man, and throwing him back - hard - against one of the other stone pillars. He hit with a crack, and dropped, obviously out. Alain picked his pistol up off the ground and holstered it, sliding Suchara home afterwards. "What, your guns aren't coded? Pity." He picked up the man's machinegun and looked at it curiously for a moment before he tied the strap off and slung it over his shoulder, walking over and grabbing the semiconscious assassin by the collar of his vest. "I gave you a choice." This was one of the humans from Earth, wasn't it...? The greedy bastards that had wrecked their world and then left it to die... he had no alleigance to these humans... especially if they were willing to kill for more technology to kill... Alain closed his eyes a moment, and pressed his mind into the man's... he was trained to resist, but Alain was good... too good for him at any rate. When he had finished, the Terran recoiled, looking horrified, and then angry. "Son of a..." He growled slightly, then he dragged him roughly from the courtyard and into the space where Gwen, Vic, and the creature were, along with the massive blood fountain - gods but it was familiar... he remembered it's taste... no. Was a past life... "Think Vic would prefer live food?" He grunted slightly and threw the man to the ground - Alain was a big guy, but he was only a little above average for a Terran, just under seven feet, whereas this man was less than six... like history almost... He nodded to them then, and smiled a little "Guess I should leave too, being human..." He waved slightly, and slipped back out again, but there was a cold glint in his eyes - this man wasn't the only one... now Alain was going to be hunted by his own kind? No... they weren't his kind after all were they...? He walked out and saw the woman Sabre had been with before - or so he gathered from what surface thoughts he could catch, and he called out. "Nicholette, I presume?" |
