Forgotten: No one can escape. A great flash emerged above all of Aronia leaving each with short term memory loss. Years lost to the fog of amnesia. Can no one recall? That appears to be the case. Whom or what is responsible? Panic has stricken the globe. Will civilization collapse? What will emerge from the reset? Only time will tell. To each citizen of Aronia from the Global Gazette, we wish all luck.
Welcome to Aronia. We hope you enjoy your visit.

"Reason for - oh"

He looked back to see the creature coming over to them, and he was a little irritated for a second, but then it was like Arya in a way... really had no concept at all of interactions between people. He brushed it off, then he released Gwenefiere and sat back against the wall, litening to the exhange. He looked up a little when she said his name, then he shrugged.

"Sure. I'll grab Alia and meet you at Victoria's room. Don't worry, I remember where it is."

He tapped his head once, grining slightly, and pushed himself off the ground before he walked back to the door where he had left Suchara and his sister. He pushed the door open only to be ambushed by the little dragon, and he laughed, hugging her against his chest.

"Well hello, little one. Didn't know you were up."

Her emerald eyes looked up at him, then she gave his cheek a little lick, and he smiled.

"Love you too, sis... come on, we've got somewhere to go."

He snatched Suchara off the couch after that, and hooked her to his belt.

So, how'd it go?

Fine. She's just trying to reconcile two bodies, like Ive been trying to reconcile two lives.

She doing better than you are?

Infinitely...

You feel that bad?

I don't know what it is... sometimes I think it's just this world itself that gets me, I don't know... It'll pass, I'm sure.

And if it doesn't?

Well then I'm in deep shit arent I?

He scratched Alia's head a little, and she snuggled closer against him. Cute little thing... hard to think that she would be the scariest thing on the planet in a few years... ah well. She was still his little sister. He closed the door behind him again, then walked off after the other two, arriving not long after they did - he was taller than either of them, so it wasn't hard to catch up.

"Maybe you have a past life or something."

He leaned against the doorframe as the creature finished speaking.

"I've had that happen a few times since I've been here, sounds like when I remember something from Auroth. Maybe you have a past life or something?"

He looked to Gwen for confirmation, though - he understood almost nothing about this whole deal...

Gwen:

Gwenefiere took into account the gentleness that the Being used in
laying Victoria to rest. It brought a smile to her face, seeing that
if anything, it cared for the priestess, or so it seemed. She did not
expect it to speak to her though, and so candidly. It brought her
slightly aback, and into the deep swirling expanse of knowledge she
was mistress to. There were a couple of avenues that this could lead
down. Before she could speak though, Alain's voice sounded to her
right, pitching her head that way. He was correct. A past life made
alot of sense. Nodding to him, she organized her words to speak.

"Rememberance of a past life will come in many forms, as the energy that
governs such things is random and uncontrollable. It comes like to what
both of you have experienced, as well as voices unheard by others,
changes in accent or tongue, or in that beings behavior. But Past lives
are not the only things that cause these afflictions, as many see them."
She let this sink in a little before going on. She was making a point
though they may not have seen it. "As well, It could be how the being is
created, where, or what of." She addressed the Being. "If you are a
creature of magick or energy, that is created in a place that has
remaining spirits, a spirit may possess that creation. If you are a
creature that was created using another deceased beings remains or
possessions, it could summon up that former spirit and bring it into the
new body. The energy used to create the being also has force over what
it's future is. In a way, it all relates to a past life, but there are
many variations of them." She smiled to the creature, hoping that it may
assist him in his self-search. "There is nothing wrong with you, but it
isn't pleasent. It's difficult to say as well, because your origin is
such a mystery to all of us." Her smile faltered a little, not wanting
to make him feel badly of himself, as there was no reason but she hit
with an Idea and she smiled once more. "I would advise, you remember as
much as you can, go to our library and look up anything that comes to
mind from what you have seen." The queen looked to Alain again, in
curiosity. She wondered to herself how many lives he had lived between
his time in Aronia before and now. A hundred? None? She hoped for his
sake they wouldn't pop forward if there were any because she knew he was
roughing it. It wasn't good for him. She felt guilty and almost wrong
for bringing the change forward, but she almost hadn't had a choice. It
would have happened either way, because even in her time of weakness it
had happened. A shiver ran down her spine making her skin raise with
gooseflesh. A Deep breath was necessary after such a train of thought.

"And if you don't find anything there, Speak with me later, or Victoria
when she wakes. I believe, her and I should speak of this as well, try
to find something that fits. But you are the one who will know what is
right." She didn't know exactly what to tell him. He was in a rare and
impecably bad situation. Bad depending on what perspective you looked at
it from. Either way, there was little Gwenefiere could do for him at the
moment, and she regreted that she couldn't be of more help. Stepping to
Alain, She unconciously gave Alia a pat on her little scaled head, in
greetings.

It listened to her suggestions carefully. Concidering each in turn as they were mentioned. The possibilities seemed to be many, and yet only one could be right. Maybe there was a combination of possibilities that were each right in some small way. It shifted its footing as it thought.

"You are right. I will return to the room with the books and read." without saying another word it moved past them, its steps were a good deal quieter than they had been prior to now. It made its way back to the church, past the 'secret' door, then down into the chamber containing the books.

It searched over the many different ones, some being in a languages it did not recognize, so it merely grabbed as many books that seemed to relate to past times that it could and took them over to the desk it had been placed at before when writing the replacement for the book it had ripped.

It immediatly went to work, working from the top of the stack down. Its eyes moved quickly, each page taking only a few seconds to read over. Very engrossed in the reading and paying no attention to the world around it as it searched through the texts for answers.

Sabre was sitting behind the counter when she heard the knock on the door. Looking up, she put the parchments she'd been studying on the counter and moved across the room. As soon as she unlocked the bolt, she pulled the door open, smiling warmly out at Nicholette.

"Ah good. You remembered how to get here. I was starting to worry you were not going to show up, or that you would forget the way. Please, come in and sit. I've got a pot of tea already ready."

Closing the door behind Nicholette, she quickly locked it again. She wasn't open for business after all - not when she had a small war on her hands. But Nicholette would know nothing of that. Not now, anyways.

Moving back to the counter, Sabre shuffled all of the parchments - maps, letters and a few diagrams she'd drawn herself based off of Norban's descriptions. Dropping them all in a scroll case, she slung that over her shoulder, picked up the tea tray, and made her way over to the sitting area of the room.

"So, I'm assuming you're here because of the offer I gave you last night. Am I correct?" Sabre smiled as she poured a cup of tea for Nicholette and refilled her own.
Wash: I think they really captured his essence.
Kaylee: He looks kinda mean.
Wash: That's sorta what I meant.
Simon: This must be what going mad feels like.
Kaylee: Everywhere I go, his eyes keep followin' me...

Throughout the settling into the bed, Victoria did not stir yet again. However, she began to regain slight conciousness while the creature spoke to Gwenefiere. Unfortunately Victoria comprehended none of what was said. Soon she still could not open her eyes, nor move in the least but she could hear everything around her. The sound of footsteps leaving the room heavied her heart. She was left alone. Trying to talk herself up, Victoria knew she was safe and that she would be fine, but her thoughts went to the creature. Not kwowing what he was doing brought a bit of anxiety. It was not that she was afraid of him harming anything or anyone, on the contrary, Victoria worried about the creature being taken advantage of by someone who did not know the situation. The queen had other matters, which meant Alain went with her, leaving the creature to himself. Should he go wander the streets...Victoria stopped thinking there. It was only causing more harm than good. She had to concentrate on coming back to her full strength again. That really was all she could do for the time being.

OOC: Sorry this took so goddamn long. I hope its ok, I have limited time.

"Relax."

Alain spoke clear out of the blue after the creature left, and let Alia climb over his shoulder to curl up in Gwen's arms for a change. He laughed a little at that, and motioned for Gwen to hold on a moment before he walked over to Victoria and put a hand on her shoulder.

He just went off to do some reading... studious for a synthetic being, but I've known another like that. You'll have to meet her someday-

His sentence broke off abruptly, and he put a hand to his brow, puzzled, then he shook it off and continued, a bit more tenatively at first, but then he seemed to get over it.

Just rest awhile. I don't imagine there's much about that could hurt the guy, considering he could take a punch from my armor and keep walking... we'll talk when you feel better. Do some catching up.

He took his hand off her shoulder, hoping she would be able to relax - her worry for a moment had been palpable, at least to him... Alain looked back to Gwen after that, and cracked a smile.

"What about you? Going to sleep on me too? Starting to think you two've done nothing but since I left..."

ooc: I echo Amy's sentiment... sorry Ive been so busy, and I'm typing this in class, so.... yeah. Too short for my tastes

After reading for a few hours it had decided that it was unlikely going to find anything in any amount of time that would relate to the incidents it had seen thus far. Those all too real experiences were little more than hallucinations at this point, perhaps memories but from what it had read there were no good references that were easy to find. Infact if there were any then it was simply having an extremely hard time locating them.

Deciding that this search was fruitless thus far it decided to simply go and investigate other creatures. Perhaps if they were memories then a creature out there was old enough to know of what he spoke. So it would go in search of old creatures in the city. The creature left the hidden library and walked out of the temple. It's eyes on the streets now it simply began to walk towards the loudest part of the surrounding area, listning to the social cacophony eminating from the Market District.

Gwen:

She watched with a little confusion, as the creature made a decision for
itself, and then left. The Queen couldn't help but smile though. It
seemed that the creature had come a long way in a very short ammount of
time. She felt a bit of pride for him, and wondered if he could feel
pride in himself. Hearing Alain Speak, she turned to him, to ask what he
had said, but Alia was already curling up in her arms, and relaxing. Her
eyes followed Alain over to her priestess's bedside. She knew he was
communicating with her, could feel it more than hear it, but she was not
trying either. The feeling of the energy was all she needed, to know. It
was touching, and comforting, knowing that things were coming together,
rebuilding themselves. Gwenefiere had hopes for the future, and what
would become of her city. She did not consider herself really though, as
usual. It was never really about her. She was only a mere portion of the
big picture. Sighing contentedly, she shifted the small creature in her
arms a little better, making them both comfortable. It was unreal, how
much had happened in so little time. Gwenefiere relished it though. The
time of change was upon them, and it didn't seem to be for the worse.

"Sleeping? It was something like that..." She smiled back, "But I'm
fine. Wonderful actualy., but a little drawn." Her eyes moved to the
priestess. She would be fine soon, walking and talking and arguing with
the queen over something. It was usually only small things, that they
would laugh about at the same time. They got along better when they
took out their frustrations on each other once in a while. It was good
to be so open with someone that you were able to tell them exactly what
you thought, and didn't mind if they didn't agree. She loved Victoria
deeply. She was Gwenefiere's best friend for the past ten thousand
years, and nothing could stop that now. Stepping to the woman, she
kissed her forehead and pushed her hair from her face before turning
and moving toward the door.

"We should go, so we can be here for when she awakens. I know I
probably should be. We have some lose ends to tie up." She headed into
the hall, where the smell of burning wood and oil was adrift on the
air. "It should not be too long at the Medic's office. And I believe
we may return to the castle with one more added to our number. " She
spoke, stopping in the hallway near the door, so she could pull it
closed when they came through. Alia clung to her chest carefuly, as to
not scratch the queen. She was still dressed in her temple garb, but it
didn't matter as they only had to cross the temple and go into the
outer atrium to get there. She didn't move to go yet though, only
stood peering across the hallway at him for a moment, her mind whirling
behind thick lashes and exotic blue eyes. It felt as if they were
preparing for something. Preparing as a whole. Returning to their
rightful spots to fight...or something. She didn't know, but the
feeling was there. Fear was not among those feelings though. She was
confident, fresh, and new to the world once more, though it was only
her physical. She was once again the Vampire queen. Stepping to Alain,
she slid a hand around the back of his neck and drew his face to hers,
kissing him gently.

"Let's go."

Solitude, it was a feeling that one never forgot, nor be unable to recognize. Victoria could hear the words spoken, giving her much time to think over the current situation. Her catatonic state helped no one and nothing. Still, perhaps it was a sign that she needed the time to relax, stop and assess things properly and without interruptions. As hours passed, Victoria became more aquainted with herself, should that make any sense to another but her. The ritual had strengthened her even as vulnerable as she now lay. Her being feeling charged. However, something was...off. Almost seperate. Finding that she was at a loss for an answer, Victoria decided to wait until she regained conciousness to address the situation. It could wait. Concentrating on moving, Victoria found it futile. Screaming mentally, a small glass sculpture shattered on the floor. Hearing to which direction it was and knowing full well where everything was placed, she could only curse to herself. It was a priceless heirloom. A simple sphere multicolored, but blown by a child she had brought into the temple and raised until he could fend for himself. Much like many mortal humans, he was head strong and lost such in a battle for a lover. Victoria had found vengance, but that was a memory she avoided quite often.

OOC: gotta go, library fucked up my amt of time on the computer.....I edited it a little.

"I know what it was well enough, I think... odd to think about it though, to be quite honest."

He smiled slightly, and kissed her back, letting Alia crawl back onto his shoulder.

"Alright, but who's the one more?"

He let her out first before quietly closing the door, and motioning questioningly in the direction he thought it was before walking that way - he was sure that was where it USED to be, but then again... it had been a few millenia...

"You never did say anything about anyone else being aound... someone I know? Knew? Oh, you get the point... still not sure what tense to use in this situation..."

Alia licked his cheek, laughing in her own sort of way - even before, she never laughed out loud. Alain had always thought she was the only one in the familiy besides his twin sister and himself that actually had any measurable power - she rarely spoke and yet everyone always knew what she was trying to say. That hadn't changed now that she was what she was. He felt another pang, thinking of Althia... but he didn't want Gwen to know how badly he longed for his world... he could be happy here, in fact he was happy... but there were too many people he had left behind. His brothers and sisters, his unit, Arya...

"Sorry... think I might be coming down with something. Not feeling too good."

He smiled alittle bit, sheepishly. She wouldn't buy that but it was the only thing he could come up with. Certain people he just couldn't lie to... Gwen was prime among them.
