OOC: I played the Alia a little, but nothing huge or anything like that.
IC: The Queen's face lengthened as Alain moved after Victoria. This most definately no good. She saw it in his face what he wished to accomplish, but she didn't believe he understood the woman's hate for mortality, in any shape or form. And really how was one to convey that to another and have them understand the deeply intricate believes and feelings of another. Of why victoria hated it so much. It was true that Victoria was not exactly herself either, which worried Gwenefiere even more so. She took the dragon as bid, saying nothing. The agony filled expression of her face said it all. She would have taken course after the priestess, but Alain seemed to have the need to aleviate this problem even more. Gwen only hoped that Victoria would not act on a whim that would create a problem that was not easily let go. Like the bond she held with the creature, Gwenefiere held with Alain, but it was different all the same. She knew that in her present state, Victoria held a great deal of hard feelings. It hurt more than any mortal pain that could have been inflicted upon her. She would much rather had been stabbed in the heart then to see the way her priestess looked at her. It was not her fault though. In fact Gwenefiere was beginning to tire of herself, tire of the way things were going. Beginning to tire of existance. Had she fought her way through the darkness of the inbetween to come here and be treated like some...thing that had no place there? Human depression had begun to set in, which was the most powerful emotion she had felt yet from her fucked up form. For a few moment's she stood clutching Alia like the small child she was, though her appearance and texture was extremely different. She felt the energy of the being there, and knew he was there, as Alain had bid him to stay as well. She wondered for a moment if it was uncomfortable for him as well. She had seen a slight difference in him, but having not exactly communicated with him, how was she to know whree the change had come into play? Looking to it, she caught it's eyes, and watched it in much the same way it watched her, but her thought pattern attempted to read it, to discover what had changed. It's sudden words gave way to the reality of the situation. Had she broken it? She remembered little of what had happened. It seemed to almost be asking a question, but she wasn't sure. She felt for the creature actually, felt bad for how it had come into existance. That was why unexperienced mages and the like were made to not dabble in such potent magicks. Adjusting Alia in her arms, as the small creature was worried and anxious, moving about a little. Gwenefere had already acquired a couple of deep scratches, but she didn't notice, and her blood wouldn't stain her clothing. Taking a seat on the steps, she peered out over the garden, figureing how to awnser what he had said. "I'm sorry for what happened yesterday...but I am sure you see where it would be my place to step in for the benefit of my kingdom." She looked up at the creature, wondering if he knew what an appology was. From what she had seen and learned from the creature already, he seemed like a personaity ready to be made, a being that needed filling. Wether it be knowledge or instincts, she was not sure. At the mention of her age, the processes of reincarnation filled her memory. How long ago it hed been taught to her, crammed into her mind how it all worked, and over the thousands of years she had existed, it had all come to make an uncomfortable sense. It brought back as well the thoughts of Victoria and her learning, of the past which was long out of reach. She wondered as well, how it was going within the temple. The bubbling sensation of need from Alain's end had not come, so it lessened her worry a little. "Yes and no..." She trailied off for a moment. "This body I have come to inhabit, is not old at all. Infact it is only a day old. But the physical and the mental are not always attached, making it possible for an old mind, or soul to inhabit a younge body. That is what happened to me. Though this body is very new to this world, my memories and mind are not. And with my return, I have been robbed of my true form..." Her face melted a little into a look of hate, which was not directed at him, but to the steps infront of her. "I am a human...or as close to one as I could be made. My power comes from my momories of the past and the fact that my spirit is powerful." She cut off there, looking up to him once more. "What is possible?" she enquired. At her mention, Alia, cowered into Gwen's arms a little farther, which brought a slight smile to Gwen's face. The littl dragon probably sensed Victoria on him, and after seeing the way the woman reacted, she was more then likely scared. Gwenefiere cooed her for a moment then looked up to the Being. "She is a dragon. I'm not sure if you have ever seen a grown one before, but they start small like this, and grow massive in a year, almost half their full size. They breath fire, and are a difficult creature to get to warm up to you." She said with a half-smile. She didn't know exactly what he wanted to know about them, as there was so much. Theres was them, then their breeding and their outright meaning to the city. "We keep them here as rememberance of the old ways, and they are still very useful to us. This one is a little different though..." Gwenefiere patted the step next to her, so the being could possibly see her better as she had balled up in her lap, looking like a frightened cat. Gwenefiere didn't think she could blow fire yet though, which was probably a plus for the both of them. It wouldn't be that way for long though, in another month, she would be toasting things in her sleep... But beneath it all, Gwenefiere's worry was deepening. She needed to be changed, the Being had made it obvious how weak she really was. But with Victoria feelinging the way she was, Gwenefiere could not even begin to have hope of fixing things. It was so desperately necessary that she undergo the ritual, that if it waited any longer, Peril would soon set into the human heart of her body, and her actions would not be thought out or calculated, making her a walking time-bomb. |

It listened carefully, deciding how to address the conversation and in which order. It could tell the Gwenefiere was not too well, though it took that as a sign of something wrong internally rather than mentally. It walked over to the step and stared at the dragon, slowly the look of curiosity came to its face. Deciding in which order to address the subjects it began to speek to Gwenefiere, though it stared intently at the dragon. "From what we have gathered I believe there are several possibilities of how I truely came to be," it shifted where it stood, unblinking as it watched the dragon, "I could simply be an entity brought into existance by the weak mage that had summoned me. However the demonic heads shaped into the armor I wear suggest something more complicated as does the symbol on my chest," he motioned to each in order, the crotch-plate, shoulder-plates each shaped like a horned three eyed demon with stones set for eyes and then to the hectagonal star upon its chest which had the odd aquamarine tattoo that had occasionally glowed, "We have linked the demonic heads to match a pact-devil of sorts...while the symbol still holds no meaning. I think it possible that I was not always what I am and the symbol may be the mark of what...or who I was. Or that of which pact-devil made me. For now I believe we were summoned, not created, by the mage in the field." It's eyes slowly shifted up to Gwenefiere's eyes and it shifted again, leaning in a bit closer as it decided to continue on to the next subject, "May I touch the dragon?" it asked, flat-toned but that hint of curiosity still lingered in its eyes. |

Victoria glared at Alain as he spoke, processing his words. Atleast he was on the right track as to her prejudice towards him. To her, everything he said was only a persuasion that she would not fall into. Perhaps the queen had wanted to belive his rambling, but Victoria would not. Even if he was from another dimension, she knew he would sacrifice this world for his without hesitation. Declaring his dragon his sister was the talk of a mad man. Did he really expect her to belive that? Only to disregard the throne as if it did not matter, as if the kingdom was worthless. What an odd way to persuade someone of your good-willed intentions. Victoria scoffed at the word love. It was not attainable in a single day. Lust was. Hundreds of men before him fell in 'love' with the queen before, with the kingdom. This one just didn't realize that, still trying to justify his actions. Shaking her head and closing her eyes in disgust, the mention of a name brought Victoria's gaze back to Alain. He had talked to somebody, gotten information somewhere. This one was really going for it. It had been a long time since Victoria had needed to use her benefits of being a vampire. The elevated senses, speed, agility, strength and the like were still there. They too were not very far apart. Victoria threw her chalice on the floor at Alain's feet. It immediately shattered, the blood another mess on the floor. The had certainly gone through a lot of chalices in one day. It was due time for a new set any how. When the glass shattered on the floor, Victoria was face to face with Alain and had taken hold of the hair on the back of his head, pulling his head to the side and tracing her fingers over the soft flesh of his neck and jaw line. "Foolish human," Victoria spoke softly, just above a whisper, "Do you think you can deceive me with a few names and information any resident of the kingdom could give you?" Her finger nails pressed harder onto his skin, just barely not breaking it. The bloodlust that came over her was almost uncontrollable. She could almost taste his blood, feel the texture of his flesh. Victoria looked into his eyes, the change angering her further as it was unknown to her what had happened and why it was so familiar. "Know your place, mortal. You are food," It had been centuries since she had treated another being in such a manner. Victoria was actually a strong advocate of equality until this being had come along. Since his arrival, she was disregarding many old traits she had since human herself. Feeling his heartbeat in her fingertips, her eyes dropped to his throat and she salivated. How sweet and satisfying it would be to drain him right there. The problem would be alleviated instantly. Sure the queen would be a little upset, but she would accept it. Many of her lovers had died horribly in the past and she moved on. Victoria tightened her grip even more, not that she had a loose grip to begin with, and dug her nails just below his jaw with enough force to pierce his flesh. Which was conveniently located over the artery that was so very cliche for vampires to drink from. OOC: I am not sure about Alain's suit, if it covers his neck. I was under the impression that if it was, it was a material that could be pushed down a bit, like a turtle neck. So, if it is, then just assume that she moved it even though I didn't put it there. And the suit protects him as far as I know, so if it gives him strength and shit, I am not aware of it. She's really fast, and he's human so I hope it's cool with you that she was like just there...lol. I know he has the nanos and shit, so don't worry, I didn't forget. |

Alain watched her for a moment, his eyes trying to search hers. Why would she harbor such hate? She hadn't been this way before, he knew she hadn't... had never treated Auroth this way. Why such hate for him now? He'd saved her life, by Gaia! "Look, I ju-" His eyes widened then, and his hand flew to his waist, she was on him before he could blink - but he had been warned. It was in her eyes, but more than that... it was in her head... He grit his teeth as she grabbed him, and he swallowed once, hard. "Food, huh...? Everything is eventually food for something, isn't it?" There was a sharp click then, and the cold metal muzzle of Alain's pistol pressed slightly against the bottom of Victoria's jaw. "You may be faster than me, Victoria, but your mental guard frankly sucks... I'm sort of curious, too... if an arrow was enough to slay my past self, an arrow to the chest... what exactly will a twelve millimeter high velocity round do to your skull as it passes through? So, as one very PISSED off individual to another, how about letting the fuck go?" He didn't want things to wind up like this... and worse yet, what if she WAS bulletproof? No, that defied every law of physics he could think of. She didn't have a spell of any kind, and he was certain her flesh wasn't hard enough to stop a bullet designed to pierce three inches of steel-tough carapace... at least that was what he hoped... ooc: You've got the right idea, it goes partway up the neck, little shorter than a turtleneck type deal. I'm totally cool with how fast she was there, haha, without his suit shes plenty faster than he is ((though with it is a different story...)) |

OOC: Alright, I edited this a little and here it is... IC: "Well, of course, but go slow, or you may get bitten, the priestess has scared her quite a deal." Gwenefiree smiled to the Being. He had seemingly gained a horde of knowledge in only a few hours. after hearing it's hypothesis of how it came into existance, she nodded in understanding. "Then perhaps you are not learning, but remembering." She offered. "That is what I must do. Thousands of years of information, some I wasn't even here for..." She broke off, looking to Alia, whose face was tightening, looking worried. She smiled up at the Being, lifting the dragon to her shoulder and standing. "Mayhap, you have a spirit far older than one would think." She managed before the air around her began to change. The quickening of a heartbeat that was not her's stirred her from where she stood. Moving hastily up the steps, unspeaking to the creature, she threw open the stone door and stepped through. Her eyes quickly found them near the fountain, understanding what was happening. The priestess was much to close, striking her with anger and a slight pang of jealousy. Gwenefiere lost it, coming after her, almost floating on her rage. How could she be so blind? It didn't make sense, and in the elevation of their excitement, the memory of what the priestess had undergone was lost. Her eyes narrowed on the figures before the fountain. She moved with her former grace to them, taking a glass from the edge of the fountain and throwing it with all her might against a wall where it shattered into a thousand pieces. Even the metal of it broke. It was more to cause a distraction as now that she was close enough, she had a wonderful view of the weapon pointed at the Priestess's jaw. At this point, she didn't know who to be more angry with... But then of course, the Priestess fangs seemed just as deadly as the gun. Neither were in the right though. "If you wish to take a life, take mine!" She roared, pulling the collar of her own garmets away from her slender throat, bareing it for the woman. Her face had contorted in rage far beyond what she had ever felt toward the woman. "Are you so angry that you would kill a being that helped us? Would you forget my wishes and do just as you please, Victoria?" She stepped closer now, seperating the two with her own body, facing the woman off. If it was necessary, they would fight and priestess may have won, but Gwenefiere would return, one way or the other. "I know you hate mortality, It must really piss you off that I have returned this way. Well, it pisses me off too, but this is not necessary!" Her own voice echoed through the temple. "It was not my choice or his, but more mine, so take it out on the one that deserves it." "Why Must it be this way!?" She shouted now, her eyes darkening in their blue haze, as she looked between the two of them. She looked the woman straight in the face. They were almost equal, though Victoria held the advantage being in her true form. "Do you not think I was skeptical?" Her voice lowered some. "And it is not as if he has become king in a single day!" Raising her arms at her side, she emphasized her point. As there was a point to be made. "Victoria, this is foolish of us. We need to work through this. I should tell you the story of the dragon, it is complicated. In my mortal form," She ununciated the word 'Mortal'. "I went into the Under, and retrieved her spirit. She died in his world!" Gwenefiere looked at her, bewildered anger evident in her gaze. "It was not a choice for her to take the form she has. In fact, try and communicate with her! I'm not sure if you have scared her half to death though." Stepping around the priestess, she moved to where the broken glass lay, lifting the metal part from the hands of the golem who went to work on cleaning it. Wrapping her hand about the broken stem, it sealed itself once more. The glass part began to almost grow from it. Gwenefiere had known it was stupid to break it but she had went off. Returning it to the alter, she looked to Victoria once more. "Can we not settle this? Must it always come to violence? Can we not try to get through this together? You are my sister and best friend, and you my lover, I would not have you mad at me, or each other the way you are..." Her brow furrowed as she eyed the priestess then Alain. "I know a way to solve much of this." She looked to the ceiling closing her eyes, sighing deeply. She had forgotten the ammount of energy it would take to fix that glass. It was all too difficult to meld a immortal into a mortal body. "I need to be changed and enstated to myself. That way, I will be able to fully tell whether he is a fake, Which I highly doubt Victoria." The seriousness in her face would have made the hardest of skeptics to rethink, but she knew how stubborn Victoria was, it was one of the many things she loved about the woman. She had lost track of the other in their heated debate, but took a moment to glance to the being who Victoria had taken under her wing. He brought forth a bit to her mind, and a smile to her face. "It is not as if you are free of hand yourself, and I do not find myself angry with you over that. But Please Victoria, Be mad all you like, just let him justify himself before you pass a harsh judgement." She looked to the woman, her eyes pouring out as much feeling as her lips. "It is a right, each and everyone of us deserve. I believe I have passed a great deal of judgement just to be here. We need to come together, act as what we are!" Gwenefiere exclaimed, her hands taking the woman gently by the shoulders. "We are the rulers of this kingdom, and the mothers of the vampire race. My mother was a great woman, but we have gone farther than even she. But it was not just you or I, it was both of us." She insisted ferociously. "For a kingdom to be so split on the inside, gives it no future, but one of corruption and destruction. Would you have that for Ombra Di Notta?" |

It's hand had just reached out towards the small dragon, "Yes, maybe I am an old soul...such might be prefered..sudden recollection would make things easie..." its words stopped and Gwenefiere moved the dragon from its reach and moved past it. It felt it then too, distracted by the small creature. It turned a moment later and followed them all back into the temple. Stopping at the entrance as it watched the scene of violence to continue to unfold. That blank expression on it's face though as it watched the air seemed to grow thick. It's hands slowly curled into fists as the yelling continued. It's body tenced and a daunting aura of energy exuded from its body, though not visible it was still very noticable. The eyes upon its armor began to emit that light glow but with increasing brightness. It's eyes locked on the metallic weapon placed to Victoria's chin. No words were said as it began a slow walk towards Alain. The footsteps sounding more like they should be coming from a beast ten times its size. Yet it said not a word, for it's demeanor said it all. Attention locked on Alain now and the unblinking expression of anger had engulfed the creature. The magic being weaved by the armor caused its muscles to tighten in preparation to burst into action if necessary, "You two need to stop now!" the voices of the many it had spoken in before rang out in a deafening cacaphony that demanded attention to be brought to it, "Harm her and I will kill every last creature in this city." The threat was far from idle, it now prepared for the next course of actions to take place. What they did would highly influence it's next move. Obviously it did not take into concideration that either Alain nor Victoria could possibly be making false threats. OOC:Heh, I'm afraid to step into the action..I almost want to sit back and see where it goes but my character wouldn't do that...conflict of interests...arg!!! |

The moment he had pulled the weapon on her, she knew what it was. Granted there weren't many that had come through this city often, they had their encounters. Even if he shot her, she would heal but it would take a few mintues. That was the unfortunate part. He would have chance to get away. Still, he tried without knowing she would survive. Once he began to speak of her mental guard and his past life, Victoria smiled. Her plan had worked, she got her proof. Such a high tension situation would expose a man if he were lying, as it had in the past. Most would be begging for forgiveness and pleading for their life. Alain used a name and held up to its owner's personality as well. Liars would over act in a way, tripping themselves up in lies and speaking of situations that had never taken place. In the moments before the queen arrived into the room, all hostility from Victoria faded. While herself and Alain were still at each others' throats, Victoria gently stroked his jawline with her thumb as she spoke. "I like you better in your original body," Victoria still felt the metal of the gun, but figured he would realize that she was no longer a threat and wouldn't shoot her as she moved. Besides, she didn't go for his neck, instead she pulled his head to hers with the hand that still grasping his hair and gave him one quick but strong kiss. Truth was, she had missed Auroth. Ever since him, it seemed the queen had pointless lovers and kings that just mattered. Auroth had not loved just the queen, but the kingdom as well. As to why he wouldn't want it now, Victoria figured he just wanted to get familiar with it again before he took on such a responsibilty. Victoria was beginning to release her grip when the queen loudly burst into the temple. The shattering glass made Victoria sigh, another one broken in a single day. Still, women loved buying new things, so it wasn't all that bad. Victoria listened to every word the woman said, which clarified the dragon situation. Alain had to have been devistated of his sister's death. Especially to bring her back as a dragon. A human from the planet Earth usually could not care less. Even though he was from another version of the planet, she had to assume he was just as human as the others physically. Auroth and Victoria at one time had a bond as strong as a brother and sister would. While the queen was still speaking, Victoria felt the sensation of the hair on the back of her neck raising. She knew the amount of energy it took to give her the willies was quite intimidating. Then the footsteps came and Victoria tried to look past the queen but could not. When the voices came, the anxiety she felt from the immense energy subsided. She had no need to worry, but the other two did. Victoria smiled again and patted Alain a little roughly on the cheek, he would feel a nice little sting. But she was just playing. Letting go of his hair, Victoria backed away from Alain and looked around the queen to make sure her eyes verified what her ears had heard. Finding her assumptions to be correct, Victoria smiled and winked at the creature. Victoria knew there would be confusion on the queen's part, so she took the chain of the amulet she wore and pulled the medallion out so that Gwen could see it. "You should know me better by now Gwen," Victoria smiled and replaced the pendant to it place tucked away from sight, "Perhaps it is the mortal condition that needs to be changed." She looked from the creature to Gwen again. "His interest with his origins and my helping him is a considerable difference from your relationship with Alain," Victoria looked to Alain and smirked as her gaze returned to the queen, "The creature and I are not lovers or attached as you two are so very much so," That was how it pretty much boiled down. The bond Victoria and the creature held was not an emotional bond that the queen and Alain had. Instead it was more of an awareness of eachother. The primitive moment that the creature and Victoria shared as well was just that, primitive. Neither really knew what had happened, Victoria more so. For her, she just regained a conciousness that she had lost control of for a moment. Why was still a question burning in her mind. The threat of the creature to kill all of the kindgom's inahitants Victoria did not take lightly. It was a bit flattering for him to go to such a feat should she really be in a dangerous situation. Then again, she just was. |

Alain swallowed once, beads of sweat forming on his forehead when she finally touched him again - but it was gentle. He let his finger relax on the trigger of the weapon, and he laughed slightly at her words. "Us Terrans aren't so bad. I think you'd actually like the place if you saw it." He laughed a little and kissed her back, but it was a sibling mark of affection... Alain was familiar with that, and it almost startled him. She really did believe him this time, didn't she? His gaze turned to the door though as the glass shattered, and his hair stood up slightly as well - she had gotten scary in the past ten thousand years, hadn't she...? Was good, though... He finally brought his head forward and rubbed the back of it a little where she had grabbed him, grinning slightly. "Near ripped my hair right out, did you really have to be so rough about it?" He was joking though - he understood what she had been doing. Mental probing and all the talk in the world would only have eaten up time. This was Victoria's way of proving his story, as Gwen had proven it to herself in her own way. Alain held his arms out as Alia leapt into them, and then he held her close. "It's okay, sis. had to have a talk with Victoria. She's my sister from before." He stroked her head gently and she looked puzzled, but then curled up in his arms and calmed down. She worried more than anyone... Alain looked over to Gwen then and grinned a bit, slyly. See, love? I know what I'm doing. Sorta. Okay so I wasn't sure she was only pretending but it turned out fine didn't it? |

Gwenefiere stopped after rambling unnecessarily, seeing the two part after their reacquaintence. It stired finally in her mind. Victoria, the trickster had returned. Had she been in the proper frame of mind, she may have noticed it, but no such luck. She didn't know whether to laugh or cry, blush or walk away in disgust. So she didn't do anything, only stood looking between the two as if they had been joking with her all along. She knew that wasn't the case, but goddess, was she so easily confused, maybe easily manipulated... Closing her yes, she stepped to the fountain, sitting on it's edge as she had in times before, seting the now fixed glass in it's place. Her eyes did see the shining disk of the medallion and it soothed her some, brought forth memories that she harbored still. Looking up to the priestess face finally, she looked tired and worn. "I'm getting sick of this...I know I acted out unnecessarily, but I didn't have control..." She spoke to the woman though her voice was low, almost inaudible. Looking to Alain, she smiled, but felt bad. She felt wrong to show herself like this, though she couldn't control it. "I need to be changed Victoria..." The need was apparent in her eyes. So much was said by her eyes, but this was foremost. The priestess was the only one that could do it, that could enstate the woman back to her formal self. She felt s weak...so strained just to function. It needed to be fixed. But she did not want to ruin this occasion, as the two could finally hold the conversation that was indeed needed. "I almost thought you two were going to Kill eachother..." She said with a chuckle, her voice finaly breaking from it's somberness. She didn't mind the display of affection between the two, as they had cared for one another as siblings. They had been friends, though when they had arguements it had been a heated situation. Just as this had been. As to why she hadn't seen it, she knew, and it streaked discomfort through her to know she wasn't who she was supposed to be. The being's words startled her though as it apporached. Her eye's swung around to it, widening some. She knew it would not act out, as none of them had any intention of hurting eachother anymore. The Priestess words toward the relationships between th group widened her blue eyes even more, white almost visible around her whole iris. A blush follwed immediately, her eyes then moving to the floor. She was not ashamed, but her human feelings made it difficult to have such talked about so openly. It did bring a smile to her face though, that was inevitable. Looking finaly to Alain, she returned the mental note. The corners of her mouth turned up in a way that was jut as foxy. Your lucky she was only playing... |

The creature had not been bluffing, it had been completely serious but its words had seem to go either unnoticed or brushed aside as an idle threat. Even when it saw the two exchanging friendly words the aura it had been emitting did not dissipate immediatly though it had stopped in its tracks to assess the situation further. It was confused, its hands slowly unclenching as it tried to figure out what had transpired. It did not come to it at first, though it slowly did and its hands coiled into fists once again. Deception, it did not like this. It's eyes narrowed again, now at the two of them. Had this been some foul trick, or all Victoria's doing? The question was not important. It turned away from them all without a word and noiselessly headed back to the hidden library. An odd sensation filling it, like it would explode if it did not do something. Perhaps more of this material condition. The eyes on the armor slowly shifted in color, the aquamarine leaving as it was replaced with a crimson red. The light given by it was dim but enough to light the dark stairwell as it decended it. Reaching the table it immediatly went back to work. It's hands moving in a blur of motion once again as it wrote the last few pages in haste, simply duplicating the original text again. As it worked the coloring of the orbs upon it's armor returned to aquamarine and stopped glowing. Its attention full on the work at hand. |
