Forgotten: No one can escape. A great flash emerged above all of Aronia leaving each with short term memory loss. Years lost to the fog of amnesia. Can no one recall? That appears to be the case. Whom or what is responsible? Panic has stricken the globe. Will civilization collapse? What will emerge from the reset? Only time will tell. To each citizen of Aronia from the Global Gazette, we wish all luck.
Welcome to Aronia. We hope you enjoy your visit.

"One possibility?" it asked, pondering why she had trailed off, "So, there is some difficulty in it that would make you not wish to continue discussing this possibility?" it had caught onto that habit, among others, that she had. Its mind too systematic to pass up much of anything unless interfered with.

"Well, we want to know either way." it went back to its former way of talking but to express that this was important to the armor as well, as odd as it was, "It is as curious as I about all this knowledge hidden in the books." it motioned to the shelves of books around the room.

It set down the pen to look over its work once again, it was nearing completion, though it seemed it took a good deal longer than the first half. It was confused at this, perhaps its own writing style was causing it to slow down, perhaps because it was simply mimicing both the previous book and Victoria's writing at the same time to make its own. Because of this the book would look written by three different people, which would perhaps make it more difficult to discern that the second was the continuing half, "Is the way I have written alright, or will it be a difficulty for the reader?" it wasn't really concerned but more curious. Still it shifted from subject to subject and finally realising it but not saying a word of it.

Victoria kept silent for a moment, thinking of the best words to use for the creature. His skipping around of topics did not bother her much, in fact sometimes it helped a bit. She could think of something else for a moment. She figured it would be best to answer the easiest question first.

"You writing is fine. Whoever is going to be reading the book will be more interested in the information rather than the writing style," Victoria was impressed with the amount of work he had accomplished in such a short amount of time. There would have been no way she would have. Victoria knew she couldn't avoid the topic. Even his armor wanted to know about it, which bothered her a little but decided to keep that to herself.

"The way I have come across to learn in your sleep is through astral projection. The only thing hindering you from doing such is that you don't sleep. It is during that time that you seperate your physical being with your life force; your conciousness. The astral plane is where you go. There you can interact with others. Time is irrelivant and you could learn faster if that is what you wished. However, you would need to interact with someone who knows the information you seek," Victoria looked to the books for a moment, "You need a physical form to come back to. Otherwise, you will be lost in the astral plane forever." Some belived this is what happens when you die, others don't belive it exists at all, but either way, Victoria knew that it was the only possibility that she knew.

It found this bit of information a bit ironic, "So, in order to learn quicker, I would have to be more vulnerable." it stopped working, "So, obtaining knowledge in less time would make ones state of being weak, but if one were to simply exist longer it could obtain this knowledge without making itself too vulnerable." this seemed like a more likely path though for some reason waiting did not appeal to it.

"I wonder, will you be going to this other place or will you be staying?" it asked, this subject had been ignored for the time being. Forgotten because of his other questions.

"It does seem like an opportunity for you to travel as you wish, but there was something of that creature I disliked." it stated, in reference to the messenger. Some reason it had no appeal towards it, rather an uneasy feeling mainly when it directed its attention to Victoria. But this information need not be relayed, atleast not yet.

Victoria shrugged and nodded. The way he put it was right on. Everything had its price, even something as innocent as information. Still, the reward could potentially be worth the risk. She was sure that if he wanted to know more, he would ask. The creature's question reminded Victoria that the night was over even though the temple was in complete darkness. No natural light would shine in.

"I will know when Gwenefiere decides," Victoria realized how much she whipped herself to the queen. Looking to the floor, she sighed and shook her head.

"I would like to travel, especially if I am helping someone in the process. I don't see why the queen wouldn't go. We've got the wereguard situation under control and if the Wizard really wanted to disrupt the city, he would have by now," Victoria looked at the creature, trying to analyze his reaction to her words of the Dark Wizard, "As for the messenger, he's probably invloved with the queen. That was most likely his seconday objective." Victoria knew some men were just dogs and Marsotp was full of them.

the words Dark Wizard caught his attention but he did not react to them, he had glimpsed over the word wizard a few times and the book had a brief mentioning of him that he had glimpsed, "The Dark Wizard is a very old and powerful creature. From what I read if he wanted this place in dissaray it would take little effort on his part."

"Involved, you mean her and that creature would?" he knew the word, but somehow couldn't spit them out, "That is vile, that thing was unclean and deceptive, I cared not for its existance." it frowned for once, though not at the thought of the creature, "That was rather... cruel of me." the frown was gone as quick as it had appeared and he looked at her, "Odd..."

Victoria stood and stretched as the creature spoke of the Dark Wizard. It felt good to move a bit again, her muscles lengthening as she did so.

"It is a shame that his incredible ability has not been used to help the world. He had so much potential," Victoria stated her opinion of the subject as blunt as it was. The Dark Wizard surely could cause havoc, but it had not always been that way. The way the creature spoke of the queen and the messenger brought a twinge to Victoria's emotional self. His facial expression finally something other than apathy. Perhaps it was a sign of his demeanor. Perhaps he wasn't a blank slate after all.

"Reproduction is a natural instinct in all living creatures that need a mate. Only a few reproduce themselves. Even plants need males and females. It does not matter how clean one is for that to happen," She thought about the word he chose. Deceptive. That was exactly how he had come across to her in the castle.

"If deception causes you to have ill will towards someone, then feel it for yourself as well. No one is without that charactersitic. Survival brings out the worst and best of everyone," Victoria walked to a shelf of books and looked over the titles. She was a bit agitated at how easily he passed judgement. Maybe she felt guilty for her own deception involving the blood, but it was more his.

It turned away from her, discontinuing the conversation. Finding it counter productive and the subject was not of its business. It picked up the pen and went back to work where it had left off. The book would be finished before they would leave, or so it aimed for it to be.

"Worst and best, a concept I know little of yet and able to discern that I did not like the creature and with such...words." it pondered this and glanced to her, "May this be cause of the blood or perhaps more with being less an avatar and more my own?" it questioned. It realised the words may not be the best for what it meant though, "Is it that I am developing personality or is it that yours has influenced me?" that was a better way but it was not perfect, and it did not like it but it had no other way to ask.

It turned its attention back to the work, writing quickly, the pen a flow of lettering and despite break inbetween words and such his hand was in a continuing fluid movement.

Victoria could hear the small scratching of the pen begin again. When he also spoke, it seemed he skipped over topics that he must have not wanted to address. Either way it wasn't important and he still did not care for the messenger.

"You will have your opinions, there is nothing anyone can do to change that," Victoria could feel his eyes on her for a moment, but she continued to look through the books. Not that she was looking for anything in particular, it just busied her in a comforting way. Besides, if he was so keen on deception, she rather not let her self-guilt be seen through her eyes.

"The blood has never altered another's preception of themselves. You could have been an avatar when created and still be, just matured," The information on the blood was atleast as far as Victoria had experianced, but she had only been connected to the queen before she was reborn. That was the only assumption Victoria could make on the queen's condition. As Victoria had felt their connection severed a century ago.

"And had the blood influenced you, then you would not have such dislike for the messenger. Granted I do not fully trust him, I also do not have apathy for his existance," That was all he needed to know about how she viewed the being. Granted he was hairy and dirty, atleast he had manners, like a well behaved dog. Being so far from home, he did not need to be so polite. The bare minimum would have worked in the situation and his owner would have known not.

"I see, hopefully my views will mature further before such another outburst." it was not pleased with how it had reacted or regarded the creature. Though it cared not for the creature, there was no real reason to be so hostile towards it.

"I apologize..I believe that is the word, for my words. I am not sure what provoked them." it felt akward apologizing. It continued to write away as it thought. Trying to find some new subject that had not already been discussed.

"Are there any books here which overlap other history? I have come to realise this one reads a good deal on the creators of this land and the development of it but it does not much speak of the creatures that live here unless directly related to these...I do not remember the word." it shifted to be partially facing her as it wrote, bringing the book closer to the edge so it wasn't at an akward position.

ooc: I finally get to post as Alain again! YAY

ic:

Alain sat on the steps leading down to the temple gardens, humming slightly - not to himself, but to the creature sitting on his lap. He was wearing some rather more acceptable attire for the city this time around - his suit was nowhere to be seen, and through the sleeves of his jumpsuit could be seen, he had taken off the gloves. He was wearing a long sleeved sort of leather shirt, and pants of a similar material, though he still wore the jumpsuit because, after all, he didn't think yet that he was safe from being attacked... the suit's thin cloth was designed to absorb impact and even slashing attacks - occupational hazards on Terra, and here too from what he had seen so far.

The creature in his lap, munching contentedly on a strip of meat he had given it, was a dragon. Just a child, a hatchling in fact, its glittering ruby red scales still hardening after emerging from the egg. It's tail was wrapped partway around his waist, and when it was finished with the meat it made a small sound, then licked his cheek. He laughed a little and stroked its back, whereupon it curled up a little and made almost a sort of purr.

"Silly... whole thing hasn't changed you one bit, has it? Even though I'll probably have to sit on you before long, huh?"

The hatchling opened one of it's almost startilingly blue-green eyes, and tilted its head slightly. Alain seemed to be listening, then he nodded and stroked its neck gently.

"I know, Alia... everything will work out fine, you'll see. You'll learn to fly and all sorts of stuff, if we're going to be stuck here at least we'll be stuck here together, aff? I'm dealing with some changes myself right now..."

He put a hand to his head, and closed his eyes. Damn but his brain felt.... full. Too much in there, not all of it he was even sure ought to be there, and he still had no way of sorting any of it out... Auroth... its not my name but I have been called it... I don't know him but he is me.... or am I him? His life has passed but he's here now... what does that make me? Are these just memories that will remain, or will he try and take his life out of mine...? No... there is no one else here. Just memories, emotions... perhaps we're the same person and he's been here all along... Alain winced slightly, he had been having headaches on and off all morning... was too much to absorb.

Alia nuzzled against his cheek a little, and lay up against his stomach, her wings folded tightly against her back, then she closed her eyes. Alain smiled a little, the headache receeding, and he held her gently.

"Don't worry, mae mae... I'm alright. Just coping, same as you..."
