"Dreaming causes creatures to attack?" it questioned as it glanced back to her, pausing its work as it waited for the answer. Obviously it didn't think it a wider range of possibilities, the end result determined as the only outcome almost immediatly once again. "Then isnt there some way to stop creatures from dreaming so they do not attack others?" it asked as if its previous question did not need any correcting. It tapped the pen on the paper a few times then went back to work. |

Scratching on the leather, Victoria realized that she fidgeted a lot when she was nervous. "Most of the time you just dream and nothing happens. It was just a very...vivid dream and I was really tired," There was really no way around telling him he was in the dream. Otherwise he would have an incorrect and negative view of dreaming, "You happened to be in the dream, so when I woke and saw you, I thought it was still the dream," She spoke quickly, getting it out fast and as painless as possible. "Dreaming helps a creature accept things, or deal with problems that their awake mind finds hard to understand. It helps keep you sane," Victoria looked at all of the pages of the torn book. He had made good time. |

It shifted in its seat, looking to her and then simply shaking its head, "This dreaming thing is not something I'll comprehend easily is it?" the question was to see if the subject was worth further investigation at the time. If not then it had no reason to continue it. "I had begun doing your work as well, I am not sure if this is speeding up the process or not, seems to be taking slightly longer if anything but atleast we will be evenly placed if it is not completed before you are done resting." it went back to work, assuming she would require more rest. She did not look much better then when she had first fell asleep, "Also, you can differentiate from dreams most of the time then and act differently in them?" the question seeped back as it had mentioned her resting again. It was still grasping at every little bit of information it could. |

Victoria shrugged her shoulders empathetically. "If you don't sleep, then it's hard to understand a situation you will never encounter," After the creature told her he had done some of her work, she was both happy to have it done but felt like a slacker for not helping more. He did appear to have done more work than if she had been doing it as well. And he didn't let up on the dream subject, she still had to steer away from her actual dream. "Sleeping is strange. Most of the time you don't even realize you fell asleep. Some times you don't remember your dreams and some times you do. It is very hard to control your dreams, even if you are in the dream yourself, it is as if your concious mind has no control over the situation or actions, yet it is your own mind making it up," Again she confused herself a bit. A dream was something you had to experiance. She could definately use more sleep, but it had to be near morning by now. Unless she wasn't asleep for nearly as long as it felt. That was another thing about sleeping and dreaming. "Also, time is different. What feels like days can only be minutes and what feels like minutes can only be hours." |

"Sounds complicated." it stated as it worked. It couldn't help but be curious about the subject yet still wondered if it was worth looking into. With the knowledge it had already there were hundreds of questions to be asked and delving further into this new subject may just make more. "Another time maybe, you can tell me more about it?" it asked. It stopped working and looked to its ink covered fingers. It rubbed its forefingers with its thumbs to test the texture then looked back at her, "It has been a while..though I do not know how to tell one point of existence from another that well..you words for it." |

Victoria nodded, it took less effort than speaking and gave her a moment to consider going to her bed. Speaking of the future comforted her for some reason. It gave her hope that even if the queen were to disappear again, she wouldn't be left alone. There would be someone to talk to. "Of course I will. Perhaps one day you will be able to expierance one yourself. That would be the best way to have your questions answered and be accurate," Victoria had watched him rub his fingers together. She would have offered him a warm bath with her, but he didn't have what she wanted yet. Then again, could very well possibly never have. "Are you speaking of existance and non-existance?"Victoria could only imagine that was what he was referring to. She then remembred the ink,"If you need to wash your hands, there is a bathroom near by," Hospitality was something she could safely extend to him. |

"Bath?" it questioned, glancing to its fingers then her again, "No, I was referring from what was is now and will be." it began its work again, tedious as it was it did not seem to get bored with it or couldn't. "From when I was until now, I do not know how to refer to instances." it was trying to refer to time but was doing so poorely. Though she had probably used to word, it obviously had yet to pick up on it. It shifted a little and look to her, "A name would be nice but I would like to choose it myself. I will read these books here, and decide when I find one that...I...like." |

Victoria immediately reddened in her cheeks. Perhaps it was a freudian slip. She had said bathroom, had she used washroom it would have been clearer, but her mind had previously been thinking specifically of a bath. Victoria listened to him closely and thought she finally understood, but she could be completely way off base...again. "What was up until what is now is considered the past. What is and on is the future. Right now is the present. I hope that is what you mean," Victoria perused her mind a bit further, "All of which is a matter of time. Past, present and future," She watched the creature work, curious of him the more and more they conversed. Their time together so far was very similar to how she interacted with the mages. There were many nights spent in the library, discussions on theory and ethics of magic. As she remembered lost memories and thought of its relivance to the present, Victoria had placed her hand over her abdomen and lightly smoothed her hand to either side, where she had before drummed her fingers on the leather. His mention of a name brought the dream fresh to her mind. Her blush was not so great the second time. "That is the only way it should be," Victoria didn't know why he would want to use a name from the books, but however he came up with one was as good as any. Having read the books herself, she was curious as to which he would choose eventually, and why. |

It stopped work and glanced to its hands again, then back to her, "I am still confused, a bathroom is a room of bath then? So what is a bath?" he assumed it was a place to remove the ink that was now coating his fingers and had speckled his palm when he was learning to use the pen. "A passage of time is the past to the current and upcoming is the future." this bit of information was developing a thought, "So if one were to sleep and dream days had gone by but really only hours were this one said creature could learn days worth of material in the span of a night?" it liked this idea, it would just have to figure out how to sleep and it could learn much quicker. Yet it would still need some way of obtaining the information, "This would require many magics to accomplish. The information would have to be presented in the dream and without the information known then it cannot..." it blinked, finding the problem with its own idea too quickly. |

Victoria looked to the floor for a moment when he asked about the bathroom. "A normal bathroom or washroom, there are a few different ways to call it, consists of a sink, toilet and tub," She felt a bit odd telling him these things. Victoria just had never been in a situation quite like this before. "You would wash your hands in a sink. A Bath or bathtub or tub, however you want to say it, is for washing your body. A toilet is for letting go of your bowels. If you don't poop then you don't need to use a toilet," Victoria smirked. She had always found number two humorous for some reason. Plus, it was more than likely that he didn't. Listening to the creature, he was finding faults with his own theories. He was definately starting to catch on to everything firmly. However, he didn't have all of the information. "There is one possibility..." She spoke softly, wondering if it would be more torturous to know how to but not be able to. He would have to be able to sleep in order to do what he must. There was no other way that she knew of to project astrally. It just seemed impossible to her. Sleeping was the most effective and easier method for astral projection. There was no need to think of another way throughout the years. And chances were, this being didn't know another way either. |
