Forgotten: No one can escape. A great flash emerged above all of Aronia leaving each with short term memory loss. Years lost to the fog of amnesia. Can no one recall? That appears to be the case. Whom or what is responsible? Panic has stricken the globe. Will civilization collapse? What will emerge from the reset? Only time will tell. To each citizen of Aronia from the Global Gazette, we wish all luck.
Welcome to Aronia. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Nicholette smiled and shrugged humbly at the compliments. It was rare she got them from women. It was usually men and consisted of two specific body parts. She nodded when the woman spoke of her not backing down. The woman obivously had intelligence. This meant that Nicholette had to be extra careful.

"Looking for work," She replied, it was the truth as well. It just happened that the golem was her work. This woman had ties with the golem so Nicholette figured to keep friendly with her.

"There's more money to be made here than back home," Again the truth, just little omitted facts. It never hurt anyone, well, atleast not her. This woman had nothing to fear as well. Nicholette wasn't the least bit interested in fighting her or getting on her bad side for anything. Even the visit to this place was fine, she had a lot of time to work with. The more she found out about this city, the better she could use it to capture or kill the golem. Even if she couldn't, the right people knew that it was in Ombra Di Notta. There had to be some money for information. Or atleast possible employment in the future.

Victoria raised her brows when the creature spoke, his words quite confusing. She had to say them again to herself to get his meaning, atleast she hoped. Continuing to write again as well, Victoria kept silent. His final statement causing a smile.

"Good," She said softly, it was more of a slip than she wanted. It made her feel better to know that it was his own choice than feeling as though he had none. If someone did something because they felt they had to, then at any moment they could realize that they don't and just up and quit, which was very disappointing. Moving at steady pace, Victoria wrote in silence. She really didn't know what to say. Finding she needed more concentration to write, Victoria could almost hear her bed calling to her. But she had to wait atleast until morning to find out Gwen's response to the traveller. Her answer would help Victoria decide as well. Speniding the night with that man would give Gwen the answers she needed. At least that's how it had worked before Gwen had left and they did apprear awfully friendly with eachother.

"What is it like?" Victoria asked, "Do you tell or think the armor to do something or does it act on its own accord?" The question suddenly popped into her head. Did the armor have its own essence? Or was it merely and extention of the creature? Victoria did not own any equipment that could act on its own but knew of those who did. It seemed odd to her, almost uncomfortable to have armor or weapons that she could not fully control. You would never know when they would decide to work against you.

It stopped writing with her last question. That question confusing it more than it had been, though that blank expression stayed on its face as it stared into nothing.

"I do not know, it and I are one...we act together, my thoughts are its and its thoughts my own." It was not sure if its answer was understandible, though it doubted such was. It searched for words to describe it better. Finding its own talk as confusing as the priestess' could be.

"It is not as if we are armor and the one beneath it, it is as if it is me and I am it. We are one in the same." it went back to work on the book, finding it easier to think when occupied, "I do not know how to word it, perhaps after studying this language more I will be able to without repeating myself."

It seemed as though they had another thing in common, they were both often confused when they spoke to eachother. Victoria laughed under her breath when she thought about it that way. Nodding with agreement of his statement of studying the language more, she knew that either way that would help. However, he did answer her question, slightly.

"If you are one, then why speak of it as another entity? You control the armor, it doesn't control you," She tried to atleast to give her understanding of his words, even if he was not able to fully express himself. This way he would know how she interpreted him. Finishing the page, again, she set down the pen, the tips of her fingers beginning to be dyed black. She would definately have to take a bath now. Even if she just washed her hands, the comfort of hot perfumed water would win her over. There was nothing else like it in the world. Rubbing her inked finger onto one of the old pages, she shrugged to herself when it didn't come off.

It continued working, stopping only to let the page dry and refill the inkpen. Learning how to work the device had left his fingers black but it payed no attention to that, "I refer to it as seperate because it can be taken off, but even then it influences me. My decisions are its decisions and its are mine. Though less now than then."

The subject was causing a lot of confusion on its part. It was as if the armor had become less controlling since he had a new purpose yet still it was there, he could feel it. It making him part of it, it did not like this confusing subject. It would suggest they are no longer so entwined and one could survive without the other.

"It is just how it is. I am it, it is me, we are one, yet never to be free because a want for a need." it ryhmed, now toying with the language. "I made a play on words and rhyming...i like this rhyming." it stated, distracted by its own emotionless theatrics for a moment.

Victoria listened to him speak, his own confusion evident. Her mouth raised in a corner as he enjoyed language. That was a step, he liked something. Definately a step in the right direction.

"Perhaps at one point, you will be totally free," Victoria tried to think what could have made the change from being totally consumed by the armour. Was it the exhcange in the prison? Or was it when he used her blood?

"What happened when you were able to notice the difference?" He had to have felt it, and that would answer a question. His liking of rhyming made her touch on that subject as well.

"If you like rhyming, then you obviously have a sort of control. Some sense of self," She thought back on her offer to him earlier. Perhaps being more 'grounded' or 'connected' to the physical plane would create a greater divide between him and the armor. It couldn't be safe to have such little control. The armor also had the sigil of the demon in it. Was the demon or demonic energy controlling him? She wondered what he thought of that question, so posed it to him, but he probably knew less than she did on the subject.

"Do you think that your creator controls you through your armor? Could it be it or its energy that is the armor? Perhaps if you don't know, then that is why. Whatever created you did not want you to exist on your own." She hoped to the powers that it was not. Victoria would do what she must to stop it if that was how things came to be.

It shifted a bit and looked at her, "It was a slow process until I was out of my armor for that time. The armor and I...eh...work...empathetically. I cannot derive it from my own. If the armor is to be controlled by creator then it would not work when creator died."

It shifted again, "The symbol is on me..not the armor, the armor simply bares the heads of demons..and I do have horns." it wasn't sure why it was noting details, perhaps they would help them, "symbiotic...we are..that might be the word. Though I am not sure. This wierd feeling in my head, like I do not know...what is it?" it asked as it went back to work.

There was only one time that Victoria knew of in which he was out of his armor and that was probably what he was talking about. The way he referred to his creator was the actual dabbler, not a demon. However, if he could not seperate himself from the armor in a sense, then why did he feel less bound to it? Victoria supposed that was the question really. Everything else she had asked was a bit irrelevant. This is where all of her books really fell short. It was one thing to know about what others had encountered, but to come across something yourself was a completely different story. She looked at the symbol he spoke of that was directly on it, her eyes lingering for a moment. and not just on the pattern. The creature noted that it had horns but that really meant little.

"I appear human, but I am not," Victoria stated just for the creature to consider and looked back to the pages. If the creature and the armor were symbiotic, then it would not harm him. But did the creature know for sure if it was symbiotic or no? If it was self aware it was a possibility that it could hurt him if it so choose. For a moment she felt as though she were making a problem out of nothing. What was so wrong with him having smart armor? The way it sounded it wouldn't harm her unless he willed it so. But could she depend on that?

Victoria glanced at the creature when he asked the question. Was he just thinking aloud, was it a rehtorical question or did her really want an answer from her? It could be a few different things. Had her blood effected him as it did so many others, then it would be a sense of her existance as well as his. So if he felt that plus the armor, then he had three different awarenesses in him. Victoria began to confuse herself and it showed on her face as she thought.

"It's in your head, you tell me," that was the best she could come up with, that way if he wasn't asking her, she didn't sound so slow and if he was, it hopefully would deter her needing to know.

It shook its head, "Something else, there..." it tapped the paper with the pen, listening to the noise before it continued writing, "I am not sure what it is."

It worked delicately now, though still moving fast, it was no writing a manner of its own, "Is it the blood then? That substance was nurishing for us but the pact...then it is more than just agreed it is strengthened by a bond?"

It was confused still but so far this had not kept it from working, "Human? So Gwenefiere is human?" It asked curiously, "I did not know what humans were...no title for your race..or the one you're imitating." it paused to let the page dry again. Going at her pace was taking a good deal longer than It's own. Then again it looked back to the half it had done wondering if it had let the ink dry.

Finishing yet again another page in the mass of them, Vicotira set down the pen, considering just letting it lay there until the next evening or so. The question concerning the blood brought on a tinge of guilt. She knew what the blood was for and felt responsible for causing only more confusion.

"In a manner of speaking. To harm me would be like harming yourself. If I were to die, a part of you would die but the same occurs in respect to me. If you were to die, I would know instantly and a part of me would as well," She paused for a moment, more needed to be said, "That does not happen often, the only reason why it was is because of Gwenefiere's absence. It is usually her blood in the fountain as well as many others, so the energies don't mix so well. The bond isn't as strong. However, when it is the blood of one being the energy is more direct," She hoped he understood. It was hard enough for her to explain without feeling a bit shy about the whole situation. Had he used the blood full well knowing what would happen, it would be a completely different situation. However, she had neglected to inform him, thus decieving him. The discussion of Gwen Victoria could have some input on.

"She is human now. I don't know how or why it came to be that way but she is. I will turn her again, of course. It is only a matter of time," The way he put Victoria was almost offending.

"I imitate nothing, I was born human. Lived as a human until eighteen. Then I was changed," Victoria hoped he understood the difference. However there were true born vampires, and they could very well look much different than human. It just seemed that a human form was an easy host.
