Forgotten: No one can escape. A great flash emerged above all of Aronia leaving each with short term memory loss. Years lost to the fog of amnesia. Can no one recall? That appears to be the case. Whom or what is responsible? Panic has stricken the globe. Will civilization collapse? What will emerge from the reset? Only time will tell. To each citizen of Aronia from the Global Gazette, we wish all luck.
Welcome to Aronia. We hope you enjoy your visit.

The girl made sense alright, but Lexianna had something that was indiscribable. She would know if he were dead. They were all connected. He was not though, because she still felt him there, felt them. She had definately done the right thing. In fact The very best thing she could have done was come to Lexi. If she had gone back to her station, which Lexianna guessed she was a part of one, They would never have found Doryan and the Girl would probably been in even worse trouble. Standing from the table, she moved with grace to the wall opposite. It was pallid grey, almost institutional colored. But there were a couple of posters hung. SHe puled the first off. It was of a ancient cinema movie. One of the Silent black and white ones that were all that could be found any more. It came easily away from the wall. It was comprised of a special material that clung anywhere, They also made clothing of it. But that was a different story and a differnet bit of science that was common to Aronia. The paper dropped to the floor and crumpled, exposing a safe behind it. She had noticed the girl had a holster, but it was empty. If the girl had carried a gun before, she would again, but this one would be somewhat different. Hitting the out the correct digits on the key pad, it hissed then opened. A little light flickered on inside, and gave face to the woman's treasure. Several guns and even more boxes of ammo sat in it's depths. Pulling one out, and a box of the called Ammo, she passed it to the girl.

"What is your name..." She inquired. "I should know at leaste that if I am to hand you a gun." She smiled a tiny bit and stepped to her, holding out a small automatic. The gun itself was average, but the bullets were something else. Each one had a chamber which was filled with acid. When shot it would be inserted into the pbject and eat it away, or burn it really, like acid does. Lexianna knew little about the creature, but if this didn't work...she always had her magick. Moving back to the safe, she pulled her own holster free, wrapping it around her hips and buckling it into place. It sat comfortable around her, she had broken it in well. Pulling one of her guns free. These were an older model, but they still did the job. Earth Military series Desert Eagles. They were nice gnns. Loading the right with the Acid rounds, she holstered that and then the left she filled with regular rounds, holstering that one as well. It was good to be prepared.

"I will have you know though, that they expect us to just run out and find him. I'm sure you know he has a high bounty on him. I knew he was acting funny last night..." She broke off on the last bit, closing and locking the safe, then smoothing the poster back over it. "Lets Move for now though. I'm sure they're tracking you...I know a safe place where we can contact the others." She looked over to the girl. FInally ready.

Meanwhile....

The tender looked up as she entered, the tall slender officer. Not a good sign. He was about to retreat into the back of the building, but he sees that she isn't pulling out the cuffs and takes a deep breath. He would wait this one out. At her approach, he smiled politely, admiring her fine curves and features. Had the woman not been of her position, he would have bought her a drink, see if mayhap he could coax her to the back. There was no such luck though. He listened with great intensity to her inquiree and then looked to the Hologram image of th younge girl. He had seen no such girl. Really Lexianna had been up front most of the night while he entertained his favorite girl...But Lexi had run off on business. His brow furroed a little. This was what it felt like to be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

" Paris eh? Sorry, I haven't seen her, but you can ask the girl who works here nights. Her room is in the back there..." He pointed to the door through which Lexianna and the girl had dissappeared through and were now discussing their next move. He knew nothing of it, but he had already given some information to the woman that he would later regret. "Go ahead and knock. If she's there, she will awnser." He smiled and pushed away from the bar, dissassociating himself as if she weren't there, and returning to his patrons.

Natalia looked to the bottle of water she'd been given and finally raised it to her lips, taking a long gulp of the cool liquid. It slid down her throat, refreshing her and instantly helping to clear her clouded mind. Turning to watch Lexianna, she perked a brow as she saw the woman's supply of weapons. They had more back at the compound. She had more just in her room. But she wasn't there now, so she'd have to deal with what she was offered, if anything.

A slight pang of fear slashed out at Natalia, making her heart skip a beat, but Lexianna turned and held a pistol out to her. With a small sigh of relief, Natalia got up out of her chair and walked to the woman. The look on Natalia's face was considerably different than it had been when she'd walked in. Most of the blood had been wiped clean, but there was still an open wound across her cheek, dripping blood slowly down. The expression across her face had hardened from one of shock and fear to one of pure determination with a hint of anger.

Looking down at the pistol Lexianna was handing her after the ammunition, she took it in her fingers, testing its weight briefly. It was a nice gun. It wasn't her normal pistol, though, so it was slightly awkward between her fingers. She nodded in approval and checked to see that there was already bullets in the chamber. There were. Good. The more, the merrier. "Natalia."

A quiet, crackling voice echoed in Natalia's ear and she blinked, twisting her head to look at Lexianna. It wasn't the woman who was talking. The voice was male anyhow. Oh! Her earpiece. Listening more closely, she was able to pick up what was being said to her.

"Kid... Report. The map says you're at... The Purple Goat in Myers Square. Is your target there? Kid? Report! Kid!!"

With a frown on her face, she reached her hand up and clicked the tiny switch to the 'OFF' position. For all she cared, the Mavericks had abandoned her. She didn't want to listen to their crap anymore. Once this was done, she would go back to the compound, get her gear and set out on her own. Sure, she was only fifteen, but she was more mature than plenty of people living on their own already.

"Yes, he does," Natalia said to Lexianna when she heard the woman talking about Doryan. "That's why I was there. I used to be a Maverick... Bringing him in was my mission."

She stopped talking abruptly and pointed the gun in front of her. Closing one eye, she checked the aim. Switching the safety off and then back on, she lifted the tip of the pistol and made a quiet shooting noise with her mouth. She then twirled the pistol around her finger, finally inserting it in the holster for her gun and looking to Lexianna.

"Ready when you are."
Wash: I think they really captured his essence.
Kaylee: He looks kinda mean.
Wash: That's sorta what I meant.
Simon: This must be what going mad feels like.
Kaylee: Everywhere I go, his eyes keep followin' me...

(( OOC: Since nothing has been posted concerning Doryan's current situation, I believe I'll simply stick to Paradox's point of view for the time being. However, Doryan is currently bound and in Manticore's temporary custody until they are transported aboard the ship. If anything is going to be done to attempt to rescue Doryan, it will have to be done soon. ))

Paradox gives the bartender a withering scowl at his lack of respect for an officer. There was a grand total of two other patrons currently seated at the bar---in various states of inebriation, she might add---and he was paying more attention to them. Oh well. Probably he was more than slightly discomforted by the sight of a police officer...even if it was a woman. Paradox sighs, then deactivates the holo-inducer and heads away from the bar towards the door that had been indicated. Without turning the head of her holographic facade, the holosphere rotates 180 degrees to observe the tender polishing a shotglass with a disgusting-looking rag while chatting in low tones with a customer. Both were shamelessly staring at her retreating form and the sonic receptors were picking up bits of their conversation. Mostly it consisted of lewd remarks about her posterior. Paradox had half a mind to sear their eyes out with a few well-placed laser shots, but that would totally blow her cover and she had more important things with which to concern herself at the moment.

Upon reaching the doorway to Lexianna's room, Paradox hesitates. The holosphere rotates back around, then activates an x-ray mode that was every bit as sophisticated as the one in Manticore's visor, if not moreso. The walls fade away immediately, visible only as translucent barriers. Two figures were moving around inside. Paradox activates several filters, enhancing the artificial lighting of the x-ray mode and cutting back on the shadows. There she was. The girl that Manticore had indicated. So the weasel at the bar had been lying after all! Then again...he wouldn't have told her where to find the girl, would he? Hmm...so maybe he wasn't part of this. He was still a slimeball. Another woman was with the girl; no doubt the one whome the current tender had replaced. Paradox studies her for several moments before noticing an important detail: the two girls were armed!

Accessing the Ethernet, Paradox zooms in on each of the weapons in turn. They both seemed to be carrying standard issue Desert Eagles. They were antiquated pistols, of course. Nothing to worry about. Projectile weapons seemed to be the norm around here, as was the case back on Earth. Technological digression had left humanity in such a destitute condition that it was almost pitiable. Almost. The fact that the weapons were loaded with customized rounds escaped Paradox's preliminary examination. It was difficult enough to run such scans through walls...nearly impossible to analyze their contents like this. Paradox didn't care, though. Such weapons could hardly hurt a hologram and only a very lucky shot would even have a chance of hitting the holosphere's lens---its only really vulnerable spot. Paradox raises a holographic fist to knock on the door, then hesitates when she hears the girl talking.

"Yes, he does. That's why I was there. I used to be a Maverick...Bringing him in was my mission." There was a slight pause, then, "Ready when you are."

Paradox frowns. Puzzling information, indeed. She would have loved to stay and hear more of their conversation, but from the sound of things, it appeared that the two of them were getting ready to head out. Where they were going was uncertain. If they planned on finding Doryan, then they would find it near impossible. Even now the ship's tracking system was searching for a lock on him and Manticore. The Purple Goat was half a city away. They had seconds at best before the two of them were transported completely off planet. Only a miracle would allow Doryan to slip from Manticore's clutches now and the T.M.P.D. was hardly that. Success was within reach. Only a few loose strings to tie up. Raising a holographic fist, Paradox knocks rapidly on the door.

"T.M.P.D! Open up!"

OOCLY: Alright...This is how it goes. Lol Davyn, Go ahead and take Doryan to whereever you are going to. Just don't make it COMPLETELY impossible to retrieve him. I don't expect it to be easy, but don't make it so I can't get him back ever. And go ahead and make a portion of your post to him, so I can familierize with What Manitcore is going to do with him. Lol And Sabre. I have a really good plan. I will e-mail you with specific details. I'm not sure if You are going to have Natalie go through, but you should...it will be good. Plus, after this post, the two will be switching to Luestrife to a new place. that isn't up yet, I will have Amy do it so we can use it. Lol But yeah, I wanted to touch on the topic of the portal I created in this post. It is a portal created by the race called the gaurdians, that can tell one of their blood. Lexianna is one of the Blood, though she is not a Full Guardian. The Time sequence I am creating will give you a better Idea of what the Guardians are. But basically they were the children of Gaia, or The Great Goddess, or whatever you would like to call her. Seeing as this is the equivalence of the Astral plane, it makes sense eh? Well, Maybe. But yeah, I will tell you more about them later through this thread. Lol Having fun and learning history, how can you beat that?! But anyways, here is my posty. enjoy! cause your not getting another one for a few days. :P

IC:
Lexianna grinned, watching the girl. She took immediate intrest in the gun which told Lexi of what she was, even more so than what she called herself. She wasn't familier with the Mavericks, but she had a feeling she would learn a little about them over the next few hours, days or how ever long it took to get Doryan back. It was deeper than that, Doryan meant alot to her. They had in fact been 'together' at one point, but she traded him in for her gun. Plus, the Republic wouldn't allow members to be in a relationship. It made it easier though for them to be friends. As usualy when people broke up on their own reconences they rarely got along. But Dwelling in the past got her nowhere. Grabbing an extra case of the custom rounds, she threw them in her pocket and then holstered both her guns. They felt right there, comforting. After years of having it mashed into your brain, that was usually the way it went. She was completely unaware of Natalia's head piece. She wasn't lucky enough to have super hearing powers or anything. But she did notice the wierd look on her face. and then noticed her lift a hand to turn off whatever it was. The slice across her cheek was beginning to darken a little, Mayhap beginning to heal, but by the look of it, it would take quite a while. When they got to where they needed to go, she would have Riichee (Rah-shea) fix her up. Riichee was a different sort of story though.

"Alright, we should head out. I don't know how much time we have, or if we will even be able to find him...I just know he isn't dead..." She said, with very little enthusiasm. "I would be able to feel it if he died, all of Us would." SHe tried to explain, though she knew that Natalia probably didn't understand very well. She would in time, if she decided to go through with this. Lexi had a feeling it was going to be a little more than a few minutes of walking to aleviate this situation. Checking the security of her holsters, she was pleased to find that even after a year of not using them they were still perfectly fitting and in great shape. Teh Goddes knew how oftly these went through the hells of battle.

"Do you need anything before we go?" She asked the girl, as she stepped to the table and grabbed a pouch. her money was in it. Leaves were always good to have around in a case such as this. Tying it securely to her belt loop, she looked about once more to make sure she wasn't forgetting anything. Luckily she hadn't develed into the Rum that evening, or she would have forgotten her head. Giving a slight smile to the girl, she moved to the door, only to be stricken with rapid pounding on the other side.

"T.M.P.D! Open up!"

"Police?!" SHe groaned exasperatedly, but caught herself. Looking to the girl once more, her eyes went stern. "It isn't the police is it?" She asked. From what she took, A Maverick was probably in cahoots with the police, and if she was here, why would they come? It didn't make sense. "Come on!" she said, turning from the the door behind which the feminine voice came and toward the back. Picking up pace, she moved through the back corridores, which was a simple hallway with a bare bulb hanging from the ceiling. Here they were met by the face of an oppresive metal door. Beside it was a symbol, this had been her first instinct, but she had been so worried about finding Doryan that she had pushed the thought away. This would take them out of Trevisan, but then they would be able to gather arms and come back for him.

"Now we have to be quick!" Lexi said to her, knowing this would be even harder on the girl. She didn't think Natalia would refuse though. "This takes us to Luestrife, and the Synester Republic." The girl probably had no idea what that was, but it was their only hope. They were her people, her people of arms. "Are you willing to go or do you wish to stay and fight?" She asked quickly. Her hand had already found it's way to the door. Beyond it a hum reverbrated through, touching their ears but not their skin. The Door made that sensation though, as her fingers traced over it's face. She pressed her index finger into the mouth of the symbol, which was two dragons, one silver, one gold, wrapped around the head of an onyx lion, whose Maw was caught wide by the eye of the crafter. Immediately the harsh stab of the inner mechanism came, a drop of blood taken and confirmed by the energy of the living creature that served as a portal. It was not made of technology, but of the living energy of the Guardians. A woosh of air flew by them, ruffling their hair, and then stopped, something clicking within the ancient metal door. Grabbing the handle, Lexianna peered to Natalia, and pulled it open. On the other side, the world lay in light. It was after all the other side of the world altogether. What lay beyond was a courtyard, the symbol on the door remade at a much larger scale in the brick that composed the open area. Birds wistled madeningly. They could feel the change in energy. SHe stepped through quickly, looking back for the girl. Her eyes said that she would explain later, and that was the truth of the matter.
