Forgotten: No one can escape. A great flash emerged above all of Aronia leaving each with short term memory loss. Years lost to the fog of amnesia. Can no one recall? That appears to be the case. Whom or what is responsible? Panic has stricken the globe. Will civilization collapse? What will emerge from the reset? Only time will tell. To each citizen of Aronia from the Global Gazette, we wish all luck.
Welcome to Aronia. We hope you enjoy your visit.

She smirked some at Victoria's comment about the "Avatar of Nothing", but kept herself quiet, not wanting to gain the Pristesses' distaste as Gwenefiere had just done. Sabre still wasn't quite sure why Victoria had lashed out at the Queen the way she had, but it wasn't natural for the Priestess - this worried Sabre, and she allowed that worry to show in her eyes.

"You total bitch..."

Alain's voice broke the silence of the hall and Sabre's head turned to face him quickly, unsure as to who he was adressing. Thankfully, it wasn't her. But unthankfully, it was the Priestess. "Alain..." Sabre growled quietly, taking a small step forward. Either he didn't hear her (which she highly doubted), or he decided not to heed her warning. Before she knew what was happening, Alain was exploding at Victoria.

The hairs on the back of Norban's neck bristled. Sabre was nervous about something. His eyes shifted from his master's form to that of the larger of the two armored creatures - the one that was supposedly on their side. A low growl escaped his throat, but he stayed where he was. So long as Sabre didn't make any actions to stop this or command him otherwise, he would remain in his spot.

Something slightly to the right and behind her caught Sabre's eye. The Avatar! Twirling on her heel, she removed Althea from her sheath a few inches, Sabre's keen eyes watching every movement of the creature. He seemed almost... defensive... of Victoria.

"Alain, I suggest you quiet down now," Sabre said, her eyes remaining on the 'Avatar of Nothing', as another voice collided with her own. The Avatar's lights went down and he seemed to relax, thus making Sabre relax enough to send the General a polite and thankful nod. "Afternoon, General. Nice to see you out and about." She sent a wink to the half-dragon and let Althea slide back into her sheath completely. A small sigh of relief left Sabre's lips and she returned her gaze to the Priestess and Alain.

By that time, however, Victoria was already on her way down the hall General Shale had come from. Frowning some, Sabre tried to shake off the odd feeling Victoria's odd mood gave her. She locked eyes with Alain once they and Norban were the only ones left in the room.

"You still up to helpin' me? It's been a long day, so if you want to... go rest, I understand. I've got Norban and Kael with me. Not to mention Althea and Virote," she chuckled. With one last smile, she turned to leave, slowly making her way down the hall she had originally come down - a different hall than the General and Priestess. If Alain wished to join her, he could easily catch up. If he chose to spend his time elsewhere, with someone else, that was fine, too. There was a reason Gwenefiere and Victoria had kept her around for so long, and it wasn't just because of her book smarts.
Wash: I think they really captured his essence.
Kaylee: He looks kinda mean.
Wash: That's sorta what I meant.
Simon: This must be what going mad feels like.
Kaylee: Everywhere I go, his eyes keep followin' me...

When Vic stormed off, he just shook his head slightly, and looked back to Victoria as the General took the being away.

"Sorry about that. Something in me just can't bear the sight of those two fighting like that..."

It clicked in his head then, and he turned back to look at her, one he felt at least he could still count on as a friend... maybe she was old enough to know...

"Was I right? About Vic- The priestess, I mean. She never used to act like that with Gwe- the queen, did she? They were always so close, and the priestess was always so kind... I don't know how I know but I'm positive of it. Am I right, or am I just delusional?"

He shook his head a little bit. Maybe it didn't matter... suit had enough power to last till nightfall, even if there was a fight, so he wasn't too worried about that. Might as well go with her, back her up. he walked along with her, and smiled a little to the voice in his head.

"I'll back you up. Like to see a bit more of this place, since it seems I'll be calling it home for a while. Provided I don't get myself kicked out. Suchara wants to come too anyways, says maybe with you around she can actually do something."

Since Alain here is trying so hard to keep his promise to you and not even draw me from my sheath... this is getting deathly boring, I hope you know.

"See? Now I see what you were talking about before."

Hey!

Alain laughed a little and shook his head. She really was firey... but his laugh didnt last... Gwen, I just hope you're alright...

Down the hall, Shale tapped on the man's shoulder and indicated a door to their left.

"Down that way."

He stepped forward a little to overtake the 'Avatar', and keep him from going on down the corridor. He seemed to have an affectation for following the Priestess - something Shale was NOT going to allow...

The avatar stopped and looked to the door indicated. Without hesitation he proceeded on as directed, discontinuing his current path and now taking that as directed by this creature known as Shale.

Victoria glanced over her shoulder enough to notice the creature to almost follow in her direction briefly. An idea occured to her that was completely off of her current frame of thought. From the desire to claw the beast's eyes out, the solution appeared in her mind. The empty shell of an existance seemed to truly want answers. If all he wanted was to escape, then he could have run. Granted, it wouldn't get far, but in Shale's presence he was as good as dead. He wouldn't be killed, but he wasn't getting away. Victoria could provide the answers to the being, even if they were not to the creature's liking. He had tried to kill her, however this time she had the upper hand. If he wanted any information, he would need her alive. Especially answers concering the mages. Victoria was the only one who truly knew what went on inside of the temple. The beast would also be on Victoria's ground. Her energies, her magics. Only a fool would leave his living quarters without security or safe-guards. The sudden personality shift also increased Victoria's confidence. Swiftly approaching Gen. Shale, Victoria interrupted his gait.
"General Shale," She addressed curteously, "I have other plans for this creature. He will be adequately contained in the temple, there are security measures that are at my personal disposal. I will not be caught off guard." Victoria glanced at the creature briefly before speaking to Gen. Shale again, "Also, Queen Gwenefiere would like to discuss a few situations concerning the state of the kingdom, including the situation with the wereguards." Victoria removed the teardrop earring from her left ear and placed it in the hand of Gen. Shale quickly and with authority.
"Should it turn red, I need assistance. Should it shatter, avenge my death." Victoria began to walk towards the temple again, speaking over her shoulder to convey her lack of compassion for the creature.
"If you want answers, follow me." The being would follow if he wished to survive, getting information was not a pleasureable experiance for the questionees. General Shale was also not in the postition to object to Victoria's orders. Keeping a steady and quick pace, Victoria made her way down the cobblestone road she had traveled so many times before. The darkening sky would help Victoria regain her strength and senses. The silhouette of the temple loomed before her, the shadow a promise of rejuvination and familiarity.

Shale blinked slightly, then he shook his head and raised a hand a little.

"Very well, then. Though I must say I have made something of a useless trip up here, haven't I?"

He smiled slightly to her, and stopped the man, then directed him to follow the Priestess.

"Go on with her, then, you seemed to want to before anyways. I'll go and talk to the Queen."

He bowed slightly to Victoria, then he turned and left. He turned the corner and walked up the stairs, wondering what the Queen might want with him now...

It didn't take much convincing. The moment the Shaw character told him to follow the Priestess he did. Moving with heavy footsteps once again. Though he had made it clear before that he was fleet-footed but now was walking as if there was no dexterity left in him.

His eyes slowly lifted to look upon the Priestess. Following after her in its new clumsy manner. It slouched forward a bit, giving it a posture that fit only constructs and lesser primates. Its arms swaying on their own accord, almost like lifeless vines attached to its shoulders, swaying lazily around with each thudding step.
