Gwenefiere stood and turned from him and headed down the hall. It was dim, but she could see well, due to the immense vision her form provided. She said nothing, only walked along, listening to the sound of her boots touch the carpeted floor. She kept her eyes to the floor also, thinking of everything they had witnessed in such a short amount of time. The Dark Wizard had gained more control that She thought. They came around the corner, and headed down the next hallway, moving farther to the side that held Her's and Victoria's Chambers. She was lost in her thoughts of all that was happening. How could it be so? She did not know. Lifting her eyes from her feet, she peered to the end of the hall, something catching her eye. It was Victoria! What was she doing out fo her room? She looked to Alain with indignant anxiety, and then rushed on. He knew what she felt. It was just that way. WIthout hesitation, she stepped right up to Victoria, taking her by the arm and looking at her curiously. "What are you doing dear? Do you need anything?" Gwenefiere's voice was low and compassionate. She was puzzled though. She didn't understand thi either. The day was stewing in a big pot of Confusion. |

Alain frowned a little bit as she got up and ran away, then he got up as well, and took a breath. She felt something that needed checking... and he wanted to check it... something wasn't quite right. he had felt the Wizard in his mind, earlier at that room, where the Splicer's had attacked... Realizing something, he ran after her. "Gwen, one other thing - make sure whoever cleans up that mess we left is CAREFUL. We don't want any of that blood getting into anyone elses bloodstream... or we'll have more of them after us." She was on a mission, though, and he felt why... there was something greatly amiss... finally, when they got where she was leading, he stopped, not looking back at her, instead he stared at victoria, his eyes wide. Finally, rather then walking over next to gwen, he took a few steps forward, pulled his pistol from the holster at his hip, then he pulled back the slide and let it snap back. There was a whirring sound, characteristic of the ammunition it used, required a charge to energize itself. he clicked off the safety, but kept the barrel pointed for the ground - though he was certainly not doing it to make sure the weapon still looked clean. "That's not the same woman. Mentally, I mean. Sounds like the woman from the armory." His eyes narrowed, the visor slid back again, and he raised the weapon slightly. "What the hell is your game...?" |

Lillith was startled to see her daughter running towards her. Taking a step back she tried to appear at ease. The machine called her inhabitation of Victoria and she knew she couldn't be caught. Thinking quickly, Lillith decided to give victoria control for now. Unfortunately, it was a bit premature, but Lillith would rather keep her presence in secret for the time being. Blinking her eyes slowly, they regained their, Original deep Blue. It was as if she had awoke from a dream. "Gwenefiere?" It was the first time Victoria could realize the truth of her return. Victoria thought Gwen to be a dream for a long moment. A look of pure confusion covered her face. Her gaze drifted towards the Metallic figure, and her eyes widened. Memories of the confrontation, hours before rushing back. Furrowing her brow, Victoria shook her head. She looked towards the doorway with her periphrial vision, and dropped her arms to her side. The dream-like softeness of a memory grazed her thoughts, of the moments before she had exited the room, flushing her cheeks. Victoria hoped what she remembered was private, and found herself trying to explain an embarassing moment. "Nexus..." SHe began. "I thought he...I diden't realize he was alive and here...like you..." SO many unexpected appearances, one confused Victoria. Taking a deep breath, a bit more of the haze lifted from Victoria's mind. Sobering a bit, she decided to wait for awnsers. Only a nagging question would not escape her. Pointing to the large suit of armour, that contained a man, Victoria asked. "WHo is he?" |

The queen nodded and smiled haphazardly. What was the meaning of all this. WHy the hell was she out of her room, and near the very room where the Thing that had tried to kill her was? It didn't make very good sense. She looked up at Alain as he made his acusation. She did see no difference in Victoria. She found it unsettling, but let it go. Her eyes stayed with him for a moment. Something caught her off gaurd though and her head whipped around to the woman before her. "Nexus?...What are you talking about Victoria? She saw where the woman's eyes roamed. "There is no Nexus here. Nexus has been gone for ages as far as I know. What is going on?! None of this is making any sense!" She let go of the woman's arms and stepped back from her, unable to say or even think anything but Why? Why did it not make sense? Things were wrong it seemed. Something was wrong anyways, but she couldn't put her finger on it. She sighed though and stepped back to Victoria again, embracing her. "Worry not, We'll figure all this out." She looked to the figure that Vic eyed , and grinned. "This is Alain. You have met before, but It seems you remember little of it. It wasn't exactly a wonderful atmosphere, so I can't blame you." She smiled at both of them in turn and then stopped. "Sabre should be back any time. If it takes her much longer, we will have to go look for her. But right now what I'm interested is why happened. What is this about Nexus?" Gwenefiere questioned her again, hoping to find some awnsers. She had a creeping suspicion though, that things had just gotten a little worse. |

He watched carefully, the weapon still readied and the safety off, unless something happened. He was still getting used to how much more powerful he had become, telepathically, since arriving in this world, but there was one thing he knew without doubt - there was something very wrong. The different presence receeded though, and he shook his head slightly, before he looked over to the door the woman had run out of, eyes narrowed slightly. It was her talking again... but she seemed unsure of things herself. How did that work...? "No... I don't blame you for npot remembering either, but it WOULD be nice if you would talk to me rather than speaking as if I'm not here, or I'm some sort of idiot." Alain shook his head, and slowly approached the door, then wrapped his hand around the handle, having to watch that he didn't crush it, and held his pistol so that it pointed at the edge. He had been in urban combat before... slowly at first, he opened the door, the muzzle of the pistol pointing through the crack in case anyone was inside - and he saw that armored thing again. Now aware of what was in the room, he quickly opened the door the rest of the way, and swung about to stand full in front of it, the pistol aimed directly at the thing's head. "This is Nexus? I got the impression before no one knew who this was... now you're talking like he's some long lost friend?" He was obviously talking to gwen and the other woman, but neither his eyes nor the aim of his weapon left the creature before him |

He blinked as the door came open. He could hear the conversation outside, and his magics had returned, but to attempt to escape now seemed to be a very risky task. Not to mention he felt as if he had to stay close by for a small amount of time atleast. Then there was that golem again with the odd staff, or something aimed at his head. A grin came to his lips. Knowing that he could attack, that he was at his full capacity again. Yet the grin, these emotions, were so ancient and near forgotten to him. After the ages of servitude he had forgotten what it was to simply be. Yet he still felt compelled by some other force beyond himself to play this situation out. Like he must remain nearby and incaptivity was now the best place to do such. So instead of lashing out like, he so wanted, he simply stood there staring down the barrel of the weapon with a smug grin on his face. Though to Victoria he would still appear as Nexus, to this one and the other he would be himself. This would cause them to keep him around atleast until they could break the charm. He could not give up his hold on her so easily. Though little did he know it was more the opposite. |

Gwen’s question of her whereabouts was quickly answered. "Nexus is here. I woke up and wanted to see him." She stated matter of factly. Victoria’s eyes traveled over to Alain as Gwen introduced her to the man. At least the thing had a name. His attitude and comment about her lack of attention irritated her. "What’s lodged up his shiny metal butt?" Victoria muttered to Gwenefiere. Watching as Alain enter Nexus’ room, if Victoria had had bristles on her spine, they would have stood up. The comments about Nexus, boiled her blood as well. "Who do you think you are?!" Victoria cried, entering the room behind Alain. Stepping around him, she saw Nexus standing with a weapon aimed at him. Placing herself between the weapon and Nexus, Victoria defended him. "What the hell are you doing pointing that at a guest, welcome in this castle?!" Placing her hands on her hips, Victoria stood her ground. "Is your large suit compensating for a pea sized brain?" She took a quick glance at Nexus, his image comforting her. Turning back to glare at Alain, she commanded him to lower his weapon. "Put that damn thing away!" The slight change in her stance shone a dark spot on Alain’s armour. Squinting to look closer, she reached out to wipe the smudge away. Unfortunately it did not disappear. Looking to Nexus, then back to the spot, she began to understand what the spot was. "What the…" Said Victoria, drifting off, her mind drawing conclusions. Turning to who she though to be Nexus, Victoria’s face contorted in anger. "You’re not Nexus…" Victoria’s heart began to race, both in rage and embarrassment. "Who in the name of Caine are you?" |

The sudden change in the Priestess personality was alarming and completely bewildering to Gwenefiere. She was taken aback and amost saddened by how the woman was acting. Her eyes moved back and forth from Vic to Alain, widening with each turn. This was beginning to make No sense what soever, and Gwenefiere couldn't handle it. SHe followed after the priestess though as she went into the room. She almost expected to See Nexus, but as her mind and well, everyother bit of rationality she held, told her, it was only the One who had been a hastle earlier. She was suprised to see him up and awake. He had been unmoving and like stone when he had been brought here. Just another stick to the bundle of confusion. She stepped into the room, standing off to one side, in front of the window. She had a feeling and decided that it would be best that she cover it. It was the only one in the room, and Alain was gaurding the door. And Victoria...Victoria was gaurding The creature, what a horrible missunderstanding. She opened her mouth to say something but stopped, there was no need, she would wait this one out and act only if necessary. She had a really bad feeling about the whole situation. Something had happened in here before Gwenefiere and Alain had gotten here, something that again...made little sense... OOC: Lol I think you all can come to the conclusion that Gwen is...well, Confused! Lol The posts will get better...I just need something to work with, Lol. Good Job Guys, Keep up the good work!! |

"Lodged up my... dammit you're the one being rude!" He looked over to her for a moment as she walked into the room, and when she started yelling at him, about the honored guest part and all that, the weapon's muzzle lowered slightly, just so it wasn't aiming at Victoria - he knew she was Gwen's friend, but other than that he would be fine aiming a 14.72mm at her... "Pea sized brain? You couldn't even begin to comprehend how this suit works, first off - I used to build them. I know at least some of you-" he indicated Gwen here with a nod of his head "- are smart enough, but please, advance your technology a few thousand years and we'll talk. Second off, honored guest? Have you lost your FREAKING mind!? He tried to KILL you this morning! As in you thrown to the ground, and Sabre pinned beneath the thing - I saved your asses from that too, thank you very much. Third, if he's such an honored guest, why in the name of all that is holy is he in a goddamn JAIL CELL!?" Alain launched into that tirade with little regard for the situation - not only did she have no right to talk to him like that, but stupid? She had actually had the sheer audacity to call him stupid? When they were here in near medieval times, he had seen nothing more advanced than a few random light bulbs - which he wanted to ask about eventually, was something of an oddity - whereas he was from a time where a child could build a generator, and weapons like the pistol he was holding were first grade physics work... here he had seen noone that changed his opinion on these things. Not that he thought they were all idiots, far from it - but by god! She could do some particle physics and multivariable calculus, then she would have a basis - and frankly he'd still destroy her, his major was in applied and theoretical physics, and he was already working on a doctorate in military engineering before he had been forced to drop out and enter the military... she had no right whatsoever. When she finally realized what was going on, he shook his head and raised the weapon again. The safety was on, but noone would know that. "The dawn breaks, I see..." |

He shifted his head to the side. Realising his hold on her was gone, he could try to convince her it was one of their tricks but she was not as dull. Perhaps he could play another angle, but that was too risky. Chances were he would be wrong, the image dropped and he stood there. He looked to the one encased in metal and narrowed his eyes. He could act faster than this one, but something kept his plan for escape from becoming a reality. He did not wish to bring harm to the priestess, no, it was more like he was being forced to not think of doing such. It almost pained him. He turned his attention to Victoria and said not a word. Simply stared at her. |
